Ao Dai Museum

Museum Heritage museum

👍👍 Very impressive museum. Here is a must-go place especially for people who are interested in traditional costumes. You can try wearing an Ao Dai and take pictures for maybe 100K or 300K(sorry I’m not sure). The traditional Vietnamese costumes showed in the museum were just so beautiful and well-desig... Outside the city and public transport not easy. The exhibition of Áo dài was boring but the main attraction of the place is for photo opportunities in the gardens, at the lake or in the old style buildings. Many young people having pictures taken in the áo dài that you can rent. A good place for wedding photos but a special fee! There is food and drinks available too. Enjoyed the visit but once is enough.

Small exhibition. Pretty far from the city, about 40 mins by car. Seemed popular with local youths taking pictures in their Ao dais. I'd say visit if you have the time, have seen all other attractions in and around Ho Chi Minh City, and are really interested in the history of Ao dais.

Not sure how to view this place. It takes a bit of effort to get to. Once there, you can feel that it has a lot of potential but unfortunately it is somewhat lacking in execution. Could use a little bit of maintenance to spruce up the place.

I went on a weekday so it was very quiet, so I was able to take lots of photos. The staff members rented cute clothes and gave me enthusiastic advice. The display area has a lot of ao dai, but the lights are too dark.

The museum is terrible. It's nothing what you see on the @. They say they are under renovation, yet no sight of it. The premises could be taken care of as well; café area is ugly, run down and apart from the building it's in, has nothing to do with the ambience they intend to create there. Don't even know what the museum office with employees in is for. Shame, as it could be a really lovely place.

Amazing museum. It is a must see for everyone who is interested in Vietnamese culture. Entrance fee just 50 000 VND. Beautiful houses in Hoi An style, lakes and history of Ao Dai in both English and Vietnamese. Famous place to take picture of yourself in Ao Dai as well.

Quite hot and lots of mosquitoes and ants. The route is like going to the West, the entrance ticket seems to be 50k/person and rental items range from 70k -250k depending on type, accessories rented separately. The view in real photos is real but not beautiful. There are many ao dai on display, but the inside is damp and leaky. Looks quite old in the way it hasn't been taken care of regularly. Went once but won't come back.

Highly reccomended. Nice collection of Ao Dai, as well as beautiful buildings for photos. You can rent the ao dai as well.

A small exhibition without a museum guide. Not all banners are in English so will be not really clear for foreigners. A good place for a traditional photoshoot in Ao Dao. Very cheap tickets

My favorite museum and favorite place also. There has many kind of Ao Dai from the past to the present, good for who love to know the history of Ao Dai. There also has a wonderful view of landscape, so that you guys can get a lot of nice photos here. (I got somes also 🤣)

Just one room full of Ao Dai dress. Rest, the area is beautiful. There is no souvenir shop here to buy the dress.

This place keeping many Ao Dais and its variations, each of them has its own story and is a gift from famous person. You can experience yourself with Ao Dai here side by side with exploring the history of them. This place not so large but it has nice landscape. The degradation of this place after many years is a little minus point.

The scenery is very peaceful. This place is located very far from district 1. You need to catch the bus number 88 to come here. A useful location for studying our Vietnam tradition - Ao Dai.

To be honest, it is a saddening story about representing cultures of Vietnam through the traditional costumes though I really appreciate the effort of the owner which is a famous artist. Some scenes are perfect replicas of the old Vietnam containing 3 different cultural regions however the scale is too large for them to truly take care of it. So it is quite a mess these days. Really want to have a look back when it was first introduced to the public!

In general, the space, view, and collection are quite well invested. However, this should be called a place to take pictures rather than a museum. The display area has minimal information, with no explanation or description of ao dai or ceramics. I don't know if it was because of the day I arrived or if it was just normal, but the ao dai showroom was very dark and gloomy, with the electricity-saving lights on dimly. Anyone who is afraid of ghosts or has weak spirits should not step foot in. Ponds are not taken care of, so the water has moss and a fishy smell. Entrance ticket 50k/person, parking 5k motorbike, 20k car.

Ticket price is 50k, there are many corners to take individual and group photos, and can be accessed by 7-seat taxi. Looking from the outside, I didn't think the inside was so spacious and well-cared for. Thank you museum. I was so busy taking photos that I forgot to visit 🐣. I will come back next time.

Remember to bring your student card to get discounted entrance tickets. Taking Tet photos is great because there are many views. Many tourists come to visit. Displaying many Vietnamese ao dai and lots of space to visit and take photos. There are posters for rent, flower accessories and all kinds of things. It's a bit far from the center but it's worth it

Nice place with the exhibition of Ao dai, Vietnam traditional costume. Beware of renovation of the exhibition fall => hard to see the history of Ao dai, instead of seeing it, you could rent a lot of different kinds of Ao dai to take photos outside, there are many woody ancient houses which I love so much. You could also try to make puppets from watery coconut leafs.

This place was recommended by the hotel front desk staff. It is outskirt of HCM where you can understand the history of Ao Dai costume and the scenery is indeed beautiful. The toilet is clean and antique. You able to rent out their costume as well but im unsure the prices there. The ticket to enter is 50.000 dong. p/s: there's buildings is under renovation

The electricity was out when we came visit today. Inside the museum was pitched dark so we spent most of the time outdoor. It was a nice little park but definitely needed some upgrades. It seemed to be quite run down and lacked of staff to manage the property.

Good information regarding the evolution of the Ao Dai. It is a good place to walk around the gardens and learn about the fashion of Vietnam. There needs to be more in depth researched information however, it's still a good experience.

Throughout the history of the country, Vietnamese people always seemed to against foreign invasion to protect the longevity and value of cultural traditions, discipline and family. Ao Dai is a great work of art of the nation. In addition to the elegant beauty and structure, the hidden meanings are taught about "proper behavior" of the ancesors . Ao Dai is also a result of the national identity and spirit of Viet Nam. It is the first museum of ao dai in Viet Nam. Best place for tourist visit

Was a nice and peaceful place to visit! Great service and experience. This museum is all about the Ao Dai costume and it’s transformation, so it had great displays. However, I wish it was a more interactive experience for us. Great views though!

Lots of young people coming here for photos. Entrance fees are 50000 Dong person. The location is about 45mins drive from the city. There is also a food table selling some Vietnamese cuisine for a rather afford price. Overall quite a nice place, though some areas are a little rundown.

Very frustrated and don't want to go here again Especially at the ao dai rental place, I had a real ao dai and offered to rent accessories, but the rental lady there seemed uncomfortable wearing it and ignored me even though I asked her many times.
