This park is right in the center of the city and is a great place to visit. The best time to go is in the morning when you can take a jog. You'll find big trees here, and they're numbered, which is a good way to keep track of the protected trees in the area. There's also a playground for kids, a temple, and some interesting stone sculptures to check out. It's a place where you can enjoy nature, play, and explore, all in the heart of the city.

Large park with lots of space to work out in the morning. Multiple playgrounds and a semi-circular walking/jogging path. Pre-painted badminton courts seemed popular.

We had a great time here. When we visited there was this new year fair taking place there. And it was a great sight. Very beautiful. The best part was the bonsai.

Tao Dan Park (Vietnamese: Công viên Tao Đàn) is an urban park in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam behind the Independence Palace. It is of the largest parks in the city, covering 10 hectares. Part of the park will be used for the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2's Tao Dan Station. The park formerly hosted a bird park that attracted songbird owners

Nice park to relax and enjoy some quiet right in the city. Plenty of benches and shade available as well as nice paths for walking or running. People playing cờ tướng, takraw and badminton gives a nice vibe

While I was on my way to Notre Dame church, I happened to pass by this park. According to several reviews, it's a must-visit spot in Saigon, especially in the morning when most people come here for exercise. However, since I went there during lunchtime, it wasn't too crowded. Despite the heat, there were plenty of shaded areas. Overall, I found the park to be quite pleasant.

A breath of fresh air in a busy city. It is close to many touristy attractions and is the site of many events. We were there during TET and it was a bit busy we used the park as a relaxing place to have a drink.

One of my favourite central parks. Nice and relaxing. The canopy helps block the heat. Plenty of people exercising.

I am super thrilled that they have a green lung garden in the middle of the city. I love the garden with fresh air and a peaceful vibe whereby people can do sorts of activities either as solo, pairs or groups. I am amazed that they keep the garden clean as well.

This is a really wonderful place, both for kids and adults alike. You can park in front of the entrance on the street. I usually come here in morning hours and it's never too crowded. There is a small fountain in the middle and a little cactus garden.

The park is like a peaceful getaway in the middle of the busy city, with well-maintained gardens and places to chill. But, I gotta be honest, there were some tricky people trying to scam others while I was there. So, be careful and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

This park is really well maintained. It's located in real busy area but park inside is real quite. I don't know why Vietnamese grass is so messy and not good for walking, you need to walk only on hard pavement. Locals come here during morning and evening time for jogging and playing.

Fairly small city park right in the centre of HCMC. Some interesting water features and buildings dotted around the various winding paths. Good place to escape the heat as the trees provide some shade, although there is a road through it so can't escape the traffic.

The park was very pretty and peaceful. It is a beautiful place to go cycling and enjoying a picnic. Grab a blanket and some food and spend your evening here. Make sure you don’t litter it tho!

We were lucky enough to be in Ho Chi Minh City during the Tet New year's eve celebrations. Having planned on visiting the park anyway we found that it had been converted into a flower, food and music festival for the celebration. It was amazing. The flowers, lights and decorations were the best in the city. There was more food than we could eat, and being vegetarian it was only 10% of what was on offer. The music was strange to our western tastes but great to watch. There were also magicians, dragon dancers and an amazing aquarium. If your in Hcmc during in Tet this should be at the top of your list of places to go. The tickets were 30k each

It's a good park but it's pretty noisy (since it's surrounded by lots of high traffic road). Lots of mosquito, I don't know if it's because of the uncleaned trash cans. A big part of the park (the south) is closed for construction so beware.

It's spacious and clean park. Very good place for walking. Most of the people are using to walk here. Very calm and natural scenery place in the middle of the busiest city. Don't miss it when you are in Ho Chi Minh city.

As soon as you step foot into this lush green space, you're transported away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park boasts beautiful gardens, pond, kids playground, outdoor exercise machines and plenty of shaded areas to relax and unwind. Whether you're looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, practice Tai Chi, or simply soak up some sunshine, Tao Dan Park has something for everyone. The park is well-maintained and clean, making it the perfect escape from the chaos of urban life. It's a peaceful oasis where you can recharge and connect with nature amidst the vibrant energy of the city.

Went to thia park early in the morning. The trees provide a much needed respite from the hot sun, and the shade made the air cooler. Great place to people-watch and see locals go about their morning routines.

This place is fabulous. One of the coolest things about Vietnam is all of the activities that go on in the park on a airy basis. Seriously if you come to Saigon and don’t walk through this park you missed out. Beats many other attractions.

We came to this park to get our children out of the house during their school summer break. The park landscape is beautiful with plenty of walking paths and green grasslands. However, our children were not allowed to play in the indoor play area at 11 am because the staff were sleeping, laying on the floor, checking their smartphones, and playing games inside. We stayed until 1 pm playing outside and left while the staff were still in the indoor play area. It got really hot playing outside in the playground area where there were lots of mosquitoes and rats. The playground areas (indoor and outdoor) must be open for children to play during the day. The management team needs to ensure that. I rated 3 because its restroom was clean and plenty of space for kids to do outdoor activities in the shade. Can the park management team ensures that the children are allowed to play outdoor and indoor?

During my business trip in Saigon, this park holds an unforgettable experience. This is where I have my morning walk soaking up in the sunlight, hearing birds chirping, whisking my matcha and enjoying the conversations with some of beautiful connections in Saigon.

Wonderful shaded trellises to sit under in addition to towering trees and botanical specimens, and a pond. Throw in the stone sculpture (circa 2005) garden for a visit.

Visit this park during TET has more things to see but also less less natural. Lots of food, fanfair rides for kid and lots of unique flowers and plants for exhibit.

I really enjoyed the park. It was very calm and had heaps to see. Beside all the fascinating nature around, I loved the fact that there was a nice playground. And it was not only the little ones who enjoyed it. There were many adults who did some kind of workout in the park. Also, the statues were absolutely lovely.

Was on orchid festival, nicer with many decorations. It also great for a walk or chilling in normal days. I love the space with a lot of big trees, nice walking ways, ponds and the playground for kids. It calms down the hot weather in this big and crowded city

There was the annual Tet festival going on..good to see the different plants and tress being showcased..lots of food stalls and places to sit and eat..other stalls selling various wares and goods..bargains to be found here..there's a massive stage with different music and shows like comedy sketches and dancing..lots of people and everyone is enjoying the event..but overall though when this is just a park again and the festival has finished it's a nice place to come for a walk and relax. Lights are on inside..I would not come here after 10pm if you are alone..never know who is around..but otherwise they have a playground for children and plenty of walking space..and exercise machines..

What a great park with awesome facilities for kids. Large playground with exercise equipment galore. Amazing. Maintenance might be a little better but a green Oasis for all to use in the middle of a city. You forget that you are surrounded by towering buildings. Absolutely loved it. So did the kids.

A good park to walk and sit at. But you don't get water or coffee inside. That would have made this a 5 star place

  • 5/5 Luu T. 1 year ago on Google
Greenest park in HCMC, nice place to get your daily step count, 9 rounds of the park is 10000 steps, usually not that crowded, don't use the paid WC inside the park, there is a free WC near the parking place near the Youth center

  • 5/5 John H. 1 year ago on Google

Love this park! Located in district 3. Very nice environment here. Maybe a bit crowded in the weekend. You can spot a lot of squirrels, fishes, birds, and other small insects. We go here for a walk every week. Everything is so calm and nice here.

Well maintain green lung park right in the heart of HCMC city District 1. Slightly crowded during the weekends, get your daily dose of excercise here amidst the trees and tranquility of Tao Dan Park.
