1 of the few Indian restaurants that I recommended to try for either local or visitors. It’s on Bui Vien, 1 of the most lively & well-known street, but the restaurant is quite small though. The food is amazing; from the taste, the look with different colors that represent Indian cuisine. The price is quite fair for a meal, but the menu is full of diversity of Indian food (it’s a lot to choose from, so plan ahead). The staffs are friendly & helpful with recommendations too! It’s mostly gonna be full around night, so I suggest using your meal at here a bit earlier than usual for more seat choices :D

Oh, my gosh!!! The food here is so good!!! And, the staff is so thorough! My cup was never empty! We were completely blown away!!! We got Mutton Biriyani, Tandoori Mutton, and Butter Chicken to share between the three of us. As well as, Cheese Naan, and Paneer Chili to start. You're also given rice pudding and fresh watermelon at the end to cleanse your palate. There was so much food that we didn't finish it but I wish I could have taken it with me!

After walking around looking for a place to eat, my colleagues and I stumbled across this Indian restaurant. The food was so very delicious, and the service was wonderful. I loved the tanarind sauce that came out in the beginning. The mixed fruit lassi was the best. 10/10 would recommend.

I was looking forward to my return visit here as my first visit about a year ago left a good taste, pardon the pun. Sadly, this visit wasn’t a good experience. The starter looked and tasted tired as if it had been re-heated several times as did the chutney that came with it. The Dal Mahkni, usually my favourite and a yard stick I use to compare Indian restaurants, was tasteless. I had to add lime and chutney to get any taste from it. The staff were good, hence the extra star.

This place was awesome. The food was delicious and the service was super attentive and friendly. We ordered paneer butter masala, daal makhani, and two garlic naans. We asked for them to be spicy. The daal was a bit spicy but the paneer wasn’t so much. We added the spicy mango they had at the table and it gave it a nice kick. The flavors for both were incredible. They also brought out some complimentary vegetable pakora, which was lovely of them. They also brought us yogurt to complement the spiciness once they caught on that we *really* liked spice. Finally, they brought out complimentary dessert. Truly stellar service to be so generous with patrons. And our waiter was ALWAYS smiling in what seemed like such a genuine way - it made me want to sit down with him and drink a beer together. If you are looking arround for some Indian food, this is a cute small restaurant. The taste was ok, we ordered a few dishes. Chicken Biryani, Dhal, Butter chicken, Aloo gobi, we liked all the dishes. The tandoori chicken, tasted a bit different, but it wasn't really an issue. Overall we enjoyed our meal here!

I love Indian food and was bored of eating the same food since I have moved to HCM so I I gave Baba a try. I have chosen the Friday's Special Lamb with bones curry , 150K VND. I have added a portion of rice and a glass of mango Lassis. They have presented a variety of ingredients and a complimentary potatoe patty. The food was delicious. Curry was authentic and very spicy. The portion was not big and not a lot of meat. The mango Lassis was very good too. A free tiny portion of warm sago dessert wrap up my first visit at Baba. I really enjoyed my lunch there. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was excellent but on the expensive side. I wish that the lamb curry will include a portion of rice or Nan. How would you eat curry with that? I definitely will be back to try out other dishes.

I came from Australia where there is massive Indian community and food options therefore I found food here comparatively OK only. I ordered tandoori chicken which was bit dry and less on flavors. Excellent authentic Indian food in Ho Chi Minh City. The chefs are from India and so are most of the ingredients. They have a wide menu covering the North and South Indian cuisines including few dishes from Goa and the Malabar region. They have separate chefs for North and South hence the authentic taste. Found the non vegetarian dishes a bit heavy on the spice quotient but the taste was on par to what you would get in a good restaurant in India. Pocket friendly too. A must visit.
