Pretty great Indian food in an exquisite setting! The service was incredible, the food was generally fantastic, and our dining experience was wonderful. All the food was delicious. The lamb was great, the paneer palak was mouth-watering, and the garlic naan was divine - hot and fresh, alternately chewy and crisp, and covered in chunks of roasted garlic. Everything arrived nice and hot, and the drinks we got were also good, except the mint lassi - not enough mint, and not as refreshing as we expected. It should have been very refreshing but was kind of a slog of a drink to get through, to be honest. Prices are relatively high, as expected in this part of town, but overall this is a fantastic Indian restaurant that I would happily visit again. Highly recommended, except for that mint lassi.

Best place to eat in Saigon Wonderful staff, extremely good food. Must try. Good location The taste of food was very good. We were referred to Tandoor by one of my friends who had recently visited and really liked it. We went out of curiosity one day and knew exactly why it was recommended so highly. The menu is hand-crafted, the presentation is impressive but what stands out is the customer service. The staff is super attentive, prompt and very efficient. The place is always in demand and a must-visit if you are craving for some Indian food in Ho Chi Minh City.

Wrong pick The worst Indian food I have eaten in HCMC. We ordered a starter with two pieces each of 6 choices including Veg Samosa, Chili Bhaji, Capsicum, Aloo Tikki, Gobi Pakora and Paneer Pakora. The Samosa was not crispy and all the others just like a piece of soft flour… The Lamb ribs we ordered should be grilled in Tandoor oven and I didn’t feel like any grilled feeling when you ate it…The waiter told me there should be 6 to 7 pieces of ribs but you can see. The Tandoori Chicken was not hot enough and tasted bland and plain, and not tender inside. The veg curry was ok but the Red Hot Chili Fish Curry was nothing near chili…… The naan bread was the same as the chicken, not hot enough and some other restaurants will cover with cloth when they serve you on the table……. The service is normal, you need to raise your hands to call them as too many customers including one or two group of tour guests. And my friend had to wait for a few minutes as his plate was collected and not replaced in time. Don’t expect they will give you any comment as they were just like robots answering questions or taking order if you asked them. Not pleasant at all. The only good thing is that the price is quite reasonable with good decoration in district one. But I prefer better food la.

An incredible dinner date spent here. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left, everything was amazing. The decor & aesthetic are beautiful and feels so cozy. The food was absolutely delicious - packed full of flavor. Our server was attentive - we took awhile looking at the menu and he managed to time it all perfectly. He didn’t keep coming up to ask if we were ready but paid enough attention to know exactly when we were. He served us our food from the serving bowls to our plates.

An Indian restaurant nearby district 1 and riverside area. Staff was humble but the main guy, not sure if he was the owner or manager, was very very annoying and arrogant. In the hospitality sector this kind of attitude and behavior is kinda insane. As far as food concern, you will find vegetarian options. Dal Makhani was average. Chapatis were good. Paneer dishes can be improved.

This is one of the most authentic Indian food restaurant in Saigon. My team came here during lunch time and there were many Indian people ate there. There are so many dishes in the menu so you can ask the waitor for some recommendation. Their lamb curry and grilled tandoori chicken are very good.

What could be better than having some delicious North Indian food?! 🤤💕 Classic Indian restaurant located in the heart of district 1. The food was cooked to perfection, kadhai paneer had such a homely taste & the biryani was super delicious! 🤤😍 Definitely worth a try 💯 In frame; Kadhai paneer, dal makhni, biryani & naan- This meal for 4 people costed us 15,25,000 ₫ i.e., ₹5300 (approx)

Very good quality food. Right at the heart of Saigon and near our Hotel Grand Saigon. Customer service is great, too. We ended up going to this place on almost all of days we stayed in HCMC.

Title: A Wonderful Experience at India I recently had the pleasure of dining at India Restaurant, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, beautiful interiors, and attention to detail in terms of decor. The staff at India Restaurant deserves special mention for their prompt and courteous service. They were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to assist with any queries or special requests. Their friendly demeanor created a welcoming and comfortable environment for diners. As for the food, I ordered a variety of dishes and each one exceeded my expectations. The Veg Pakoda was a great way to start the meal, with its crispy exterior and flavorful assortment of vegetables. The Paneer Chilli was a standout, with the perfect balance of spice and succulent paneer cubes. The Tandoori Chicken was another highlight, cooked to perfection and boasting a smoky and aromatic taste that left me wanting more. What impressed me most about the culinary experience at India Restaurant was the depth and richness of flavors in each dish. It was evident that the chefs took pride in their craft, as the combination of spices and ingredients resulted in a truly authentic and satisfying meal. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling completely satiated. The presentation of the dishes was also visually appealing, adding to the overall dining experience. India Restaurant is definitely a place worth visiting again. Whether you're a fan of vegetarian delights, crave the fiery flavors of Indo-Chinese cuisine, or desire the succulence of tandoori preparations, this restaurant offers a wide range of options to suit different palates. In conclusion, I highly recommend India Restaurant for its wonderful ambiance, prompt service, and flavorful dishes. The attention to detail in the interiors and decor, coupled with the attentive staff, create a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning to India Restaurant in the future to indulge in their delectable offerings once again.

First impression was a certain level of service is expected here. Someone is ready to greet at the door, and they get the door on your way in. Second impression is the smell of lamb meat inside. I asked waiter if they had goat curry and was pointed to lamb items. Disappointed that they couldn’t make a distinction between the two animals. Lamb meat is more gamey than goat in my experience, so I went with the Chicken Tikka instead. Flavorful, can tell many spices were used. The chicken was well marinated. Super tender. The sauce was ok, also many spices but it is less creamy than the kind I’m used to in US. This is a good thing because it tells me they’re using Indian yogurt instead of half and half coffee creamer. The saltiness of this dish grew uncomfortable about two chicken pieces in. The chicken pieces were also large, almost as wide as the drink cup. I had to cut them into fours. Naan was excellent. Texture was light, airy, and savory. Mango lassi was ordered for a refreshing probiotic, it was mid day. The mango lassi was ridiculously tasty. Chicken lollipops was ordered as an appetizer. It’s a tasty way to see if the Chef is great with a knife, which they were. This appetizer had right amount of crisp and seasoning. Service was top notch. They asked how was the entree. I told the truth and was offered a redo. On the second time, I realized it was the marinated chicken that was salty and not the masala. Overall I like the experience. They try their best to make it a pleasant one.

Found it on Google - did not disappoint. After a week of delicious Vietnamese we decided to change things up and oh my goodness how amazing. Service and speed of food delivery was outstanding but the flavours. Oh my. Honestly one of the best Indians we’ve had. Ever. Go here.

Excellent. The naan is beautiful & fluffy. I really enjoyed the food. I ordered lamb, garlic naan, coconut water. Dinner came out to be about $400,000 dong. Not bad

The interiors are good, location is almost perfect BUT the food is sub par, manager is more Indian than Indians themselves, we ordered chicken kebab (which was dry) and hara Bhara kebab (turned out to be fried chickpea rolls). Vibe is a turnoff. Come to this place only if you are dying to eat something nearly Indian, otherwise the place is totally skippable. Order online :)

The food is so flavorful and great. Good portion, chicken pieces in the curry is big. Their service is really nice, every staff is well trained. It was raining outside after we finished eating, and we had to wait outside the restaurant, and the staff got us some chairs to sit while waiting. It is a good Indian restaurant with a nice atmosphere and decorations. I ordered butter chicken and tikka masala.

Indian restaurant with a calm atmosphere in the heart of Saigon downtown with a wide range of options. You can smell the spices as soon as you walk in and will be greeted by friendly staff. The foods were good from starters, tandoor to the nans. The only disappointment was the Chicken Butter Masala, which was quite bland and not appetising at all. Maybe it was my fault to think it would taste like the famous Butter Chicken, but it was bland nonetheless. The menu is not beginner friendly for locals, since it has no pictures to illustrate different dishes they have. This mean it would be very confusing and overwhelming for those who would like to try Indian dishes for the first time.

Food is for eating and good food is to be enjoyed. I think food is actually, very beautiful in here itself. I tried paneer butter masala, tandori roti, Dal fry, jeera rice. I have enjoyed everything. Food is delicious and most important thing service is superb. They have many franchises in different cities in Vietnam though I have tried Ho Chi Minh. Good food and good service is placed on your table. Manger himself looks after every customers and is very helpful to his staff specially when it is very busy and peak hours. All the staff and manger himself takes extra effort’s to deliver your needs and serves at its best.

One of the good places to have Indian and vegetarian food. We ordered hot and sour soup, paneer butter masala, tawa chapati and tandoori roti. Tawa chapatis are better than tandoori roti as tandoori roti was harder and difficult to bite. The food was good overall. Would definitely recommend it.

Probably the best Indian Restaurant in Saigon, Ho Chi Minh. I am always concerned about hygiene when it comes to Indian food, Tandoor is very clean and the food is great. Exactly Indian taste. Feel like in India. The decor of this restaurant is high-end. Very classy

We were in the mood for Indian food again and wanted to try the restaurant. In the end, this is a standard Indian restaurant. It does not stand out with special food or special service. The food was stable. It was good and made full. For my taste, the spice was missing. The butter naan was very tasty. The service was friendly and courteous. He was also always quick to help.

This is one of the best place to have authentic and delicious Indian cuisine in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. A must and highly recommended for anyone who wishes to have Indian in Ho Chi Minh 🙂

  • 4/5 Sanjay B. 1 year ago on Google
The ambience inside was nice. Very prompt service, but delivered everything together(from soup to the main course). Dodd was spicy and nice but did not like the tandoor roti (very hard and chewy) The staff was very polite and prompt. Samoa chat was a complete disaster. Two tiny samosas filled with boiled chickpeas and shev (thick) and roasted papads (????). The taste was quite sour. This is a popular eating joint but will have to be more organised, especially during weekends. All good other wise👍
