We spend about 500 USD for 2 people. Spending 500 USD, we could have 2 sets of dinner and 1 set of wine pairing in the restaurant which owned 2 stars of Michelin in TAIWAN. In our opinion, the experience we have doesn’t meet the price it’s. Besides, is a cup of champagne for about 30 USD reasonable? - If you don’t want to receive the emails from the restaurant after you leave a review, you ‘d better rate them 5 stars.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot strongly recommend this restaurant. Although I had initially secured an indoor table through the online booking system, the manager, Tina, persuaded me to switch to outdoor seating in the late afternoon with some excuse. Unfortunately, this is where the experience took a turn for the worse. DO NOT RISK YOURSELF AND SIT OUTDOOR! The outdoor atmosphere was appealing but my enjoyable meal was unfortunately interrupted by unpleasant second hand smoke in the middle of the main course. For non-smokers, the indoor seating will be a safer choice. Let us go back to food. Overall, the food ranged from good to great. Lacking some mind blowing factor to make me wow. The amuse bouches were either good or normal. The prawn ravioli was excellent/great with its sauce. The Hokkaido scallop tasted fantastic/great with top-notch quality. The tenderloin was a bit disappointing and still good: the foie gras had a superb texture but a slightly fishy aroma, while the tenderloin itself met expectations. The cheese was average, with nothing particularly noteworthy. However, the apple tartare was exceptional: crispy and aromatic. The service was initially attentive, but it became inconsistent as the restaurant filled with more guests. Unfortunately, the wait for my cheese after the tenderloin was unacceptable. Despite requesting it twice, I waited over 35 minutes, which falls short of the standards expected for a fine dining establishment. My ratings tells everything and hope it helps.

As a Frenchman, I had a great time there, very good food, delicious foie gras and a great cheese platter! The owner is very kind, an excellent service. (negative point, we had booked, specifying that it was for a birthday and we said it again when we arrived, nothing was done or said by the staff..)

The vibes and the decorations were excellent. Very nice to sit in the garden. Came for the dinner. Better to have reservation in advance. Deposit is needed. The food was incredible, we loved every course. I think a 4 star is what I wanted to rate, considering the value for money. However, the reason I rated a 3 star was because of the service. In the beginning everything was great, but after finishing the main course we waited for at least 20 minutes for nothing. It was cheese time but no one informed us until another table was asked to choose the cheese. Then for the dessert we also waited for a long time. Waiting for the bill was the worst, I really don’t understand what took them 10 minutes for getting bill. The long wait did reduce the satisfaction. In the end the chef came out to talk to every table which was good!

Ventured into La Villa French Restaurant for a dinner meeting and was thoroughly impressed by their exclusive seasonal tasting menu. This gem of a venue, beautifully housed in a lovingly preserved bungalow, marries elegance with the heartwarming pieces of France. With its warm atmosphere, it’s been a cornerstone for fine dining enthusiasts for over 11 years, championed by the remarkable Chef Thierry Mounon. The selection of our meal was a grand saga of flavors, cherishing the full charter of the season’s productions. It was an avant-garde enactment of French cuisine ingenuities, served with skill and purity that both excites and comforts the heart. True to Chef Mounon’s reputation, the accompaniment for the night—dishes architected with humility, preparing the materials with integrity, nuanced flavorings, and earned room for the creative road—reflected the prudence of orchestrating grown love in savories and confectionaries. Behind the casements of service, we saw crafted decorums of kindness, amplified by course narrations that honoured the season and their cherished geographies. A medley of unparalleled knowledge, amorous overfeed, and meet making what’s traditional into discontinuities for curious juveniles and seasoned groups alike. La Villa French Restaurant is a starlit vessel that cruises the boundless turfs of the culinary arts, reaffirming that the essence of French cooking lies not just in its taste but in its experience. Here, you’re not just dining; you’re regaled with evidences why there is heroism in the core of quixotic plates, as each dish succors story, euphoria, and beginnings anew. Peeling back the social grace to my next visit, and saluting the odes that shall be.

It was the one of the best fine dinning experience ever. We had a New Year’s Eve special menu and every course was perfect. We can feel chef’s attention to details and etiquettes from the staff.

We have been big fans of La Villa for many years now. At every diner we have there Thierry Tina and the team continue to surprise us with new dishes, flavors and ingredients, and on the top of it in a super family and friendly mood. Yesterday was no exception. Thanks and Miam Miam for ever

Presentation, food and service was fantastic. A good french restaurant in a colonial house in HCM though it's a bit of a travel out from district 1. They have a lovely outdoor garden though we chose to sit inside.

It has been 6 years from the last time, still one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I’ve ordered the discovery set. The beef tata, the tuna, the lamb are so delicious! And with the heart warming service they have! You must not miss it when you are in Saigon!

One of the best fine dining experiences I had. Food was delicious, love the wagyu steak, the cheese selections and desserts. Service was definitely one of the best I had in Vietnam. The staff was able to explain and share with us great information about the wine, cheese and food that we ate.

Customer service: good. The English accent was quite heavy so it was really hard to understand. They also seem to not be able to describe the dishes and wine in Vietnamese. I think this could use some work. Food: beef tenderloin ✅ foie gras ✅. Pate on the daily menu was a no for me. There complimentary small bites and desserts were a nice We had 3 apps, 2 entrees and 3 drinks = $400.

It may seem like too expensive at first. However, when you visit this place you won’t say that the food is costly. I can say it is the one of the best restaurants in Vietnam. All the food and ingredients comes from the original nations. Also, the reservation is important. You might bot get the sit.

I can’t put 5 stars as it is really not my type of restaurant (more into trendy spots) nevertheless I wished to try it as it is a famous establishment in Saigon. Food was good but portion are small (definition of Fine dining tho) The only problem was the attention to toddler. No menu for them, no appetizers for them whereas giving some to us adults

That’s my second dinner, first time was 11 years ago; in between I did several lunch here, dinner is more preferable and fascinating The quality still amazing from the beginning to the end This time we ordered the Menu De La Villa Gourmet My baby girl ate load of bread, her favourite is onion bread and the crispy sesame stick I’m not a dessert lover, but apple tart is a MUST That night isn’t busy, total 4 desks of customers And rest of 3 desks obviously loyal customer No luck to meet Tina and Thierry this time A must try French restaurant in HCMC

The chef at La Villa has some mad skills. I had foie gras and fish filet, and a few aperitifs in between: some cheese and a huge macaron-shaped dessert afterwards. Every plate was to die for. Amazing. And the sommelier’s recommended pairings with the menu went so well with what my wife was having: especially the dry spanish wine with the beef liver. The restaurant is also very clean and located at a pleasant spot.

I recently dined here and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by all the staff, particularly Huong. From the moment we arrived, Huong and the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was truly memorable. The food was prepared perfectly and each dish was accompanied by clear explanations of its origins and story. The flavors were truly authentic and it was clear that great care had been taken in the preparation of each meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for fine French dining in Vietnam. The attention to detail and personalised service provided by the maître de and the rest of the staff made for a truly exceptional dining experience.

Dive in and enjoy a wonderful fine dining experience with flavours you need in your life. All the staff were first class and so attentive. Personal touch at the end of the night, meeting the chef to thank him for a journey of flavours that still have me thinking about it the next day. Highly recommend experiencing this restaurant whilst in HCMC.

We went for lunch and had the lunch set menus. Everything was amazing. Service and quality of the food was excellent, the food cooked to perfection from appetizers to dessert. It’s definitely a must try if you’re in Saigon.

I have chosen the Discovery menu and was not disappointed. It is a mix of traditional french cuisine and more ambitious dishes (e.g. wasabi ice cream). The wine is not included, if you want the recommended wine for each dishes you need to pay an extra but it worth it. The wasabi cream was for me the masterpiece of the whole course. The cheese selection is great but adapted to the asian taste. I would like to see stronger cheese. The visit of the chef during the dinner is a nice touch! Overall, nice experience that i recommend!

My first French fine dining experience. Obviously the food was fantastic but what was better was the staff. The staff was very sweet and they explained the dishes so well. We met the chef at the end of the dinner and it was an absolute pleasure to know the man behind the most beautiful food I've seen.

Love the food the dishes and the service here. We have an experience to taste many kind of cheese. My recommendation is don't try all the cheesses as some are only nice for those who are familiar with them.

Nice experience, I mean I've never had this fancy french food before. Quite expensive tbh, 4 million VND each person but it is worth every penny.

👍👍 This restaurant is so good that I have to leave my first google review! We particularly love the Salmon Miso Pizza, the crab spaghetti, and the clam chowder.
