I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Garden Rooftop bar in Ho Chi Minh City, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the bar, the staff's friendliness and warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The team at Garden Rooftop bar truly goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest is well taken care of. They greeted me with genuine smiles and were always ready to assist with any request I had. Whether it was recommending a signature cocktail or providing insight into the local culture, their knowledge and enthusiasm were infectious. The staff's attention to detail and their willingness to engage in friendly conversation created a welcoming atmosphere that is hard to come by. They took the time to get to know their customers, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another visitor. Moreover, the service was prompt and efficient, without compromising on quality. The bartenders skillfully crafted delicious drinks, each one a work of art. The waitstaff ensured that my glass was never empty, anticipating my needs before I even had to ask. Overall, my experience at Garden Rooftop bar was nothing short of exceptional, and the staff played a significant role in making it so memorable. Their friendliness, warmth, and attentiveness truly set this establishment apart. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a rooftop bar experience in Ho Chi Minh City.

It's really a nice place to enjoy Sai Gon at night. Big place with many seats and natural wind. From there, we can see Nguyen Hue walking street. The cocktails are ok with reasonable price. The staff is so so friendly. The live music is good with classic songs. I saw an elderly couple dancing. It was sweet to see it. It's beautiful to have someone to dance with after many years of ups and downs in life, isn't it?

If you are looking for great live band that reminds you of the 70s and 80s, this place is a must! So fun to see older people dancing to the songs of their time. Wouldn’t recommend the food much though.

Came here for lunch and food was good. However they need to improve the ventilation of the restaurant, as it is almost impossible to withstand the heat during the day. I recommend to visit this place at night.

Went here today coz we thought the view was nice. When we looked at the menu the drinks were way overpriced. So we ordered two juices expecting 179k x 2 vnd as that was written on the menu. When the bill came they charged us “customer service fee and extra tax”. All up 407k vnd. This is just for a small watermelon juice and orange juice. This is way over priced. You have been warned! Take your money elsewhere and buy yourself over 10 cup of juices. This place should make it very clear about extra hidden charges. We won’t be coming back.

My family and I went to this bar for dinner. First, the service was not that great. No other language knowledge. I ordered the Toasted Ham and Cheese Sandwich. The whole thing was not warm at all. It was really cold. I asked them to go and hear it up again, but they still did not get this right. The pizza, however, was delicious. The different aromas of smells makes you want more of it.

Here is good place for relax. Good night view, peaceful feeling. I recommend this place

Visited here recently, this place was well known as a base for journalists during the Vietnam War. These days its a Rooftop restaurant and bar. It still functions as a high standard hotel below also. We came here after my friend had already eaten but I hadn't. Having passed this hotel during a daytime city tour, though to try it at night. I had a margarita pizza which incidentally had onions,tomatoes, spinach and olive toppings (more like a veg) instead of the typical cheese and tomato known as margarita. It was freshly made with a thin crust. The food was lovely. The thing that lets this place down is quite simply the service or sometimes lack of it. We called out to waiters a few times who totally ignored us, not sure how they could not see their customers or there is a training issue. They were not short of staff either, many waiters were around. I tend to think that this place is still living on past grandeur and take customers for granted. There are much better roof top locations in Ho Chi Minh and much higher than a 5th floor! . These other places need to be visited..

Classic rooftop bar with great views over Nguyen Hue Walking street. They have live music on some days too. Pros: you'll see more smiles of staff than anywhere in Vietnam. Smiles likes this are very rare in Vietnam ( at least in locals places ) so that's maybe a good thing for travellers. Drinks taste good. Good views. Cons: The prices are too inflated and it's not acceptable to charge 8.8 USD for a bottle of local water that costs 1 USD anywhere else. No matter how fancy a place is, I think this most be a world record. Also smoothies for 8.8 USD is not even reasonable if you go to a restaurant in Switzerland.

Lovely rooftop view, reasonable price, very spacious and overlooks a really busy public square. Recommended.

The live music is fun to listen to, but there isn't great lighting for a bar (very bright). Most chairs are also very low so you cant see the view if you are sitting down. The drinks are very sugary and quite expensive--$12-$15 US. The Five O'Clock Folly is worth trying. Didn't see any wine on the drink menu.

Views not bad but there are better views to be found in nearby rooftop bars. The cocktails were disappointing - overpriced, little flavour, and stingy shot measures.

Quite pricey. Also the food is not very authentic, no flavour or aromatic herbs. I'd call it white-washed. We only ordered the springrolls because they come in a pineapple. But they actually taste like nothing. Rooftop is on the 6th floor, so don't expect a breath-taking view over Saigon. Staff is nice and the live music was ok, too. So 2 stars.

One of the smaller rooftops, it is situated on the fifth floor of this 5 star hotel and offers 50% of cocktails between 5-7pm. Lovely space and good cocktails!

This pleasant spot offers a central district view and features delicious coconut ice cream along with live music starting at 8:30pm.

Ideal viewing angle of the walking street

I had dinner and food was good, seafood fried rice and grilled salmon. Personnel is very kind, food is good, they are also quick and always smiling. There is a great view and the place is quite and relaxing.

A rooftop bar on the 5th floor of Rex Hotel. It's a rooftop in the center of Ho Chi Minh, so even though it's on the 5th floor, it's a comfortable floor.

Such a nice view of the surroundings, great for a drink in the evening. The music is a bit loud and the drinks are expensive but totally worth the price! Recommend to anyone to go see it!
