Only high bar stools keep walking if you're after a couch. No aircon just ceiling fans. The menu's not bad. Place is big. Toilets are immaculate. Staff could do with a smile or try working in a bank. It looks more like the place that would kick off late at night. Theres a few other drinking places in the street. There seemed to be a few Westerners wondering the street. Decent food for a crowded tourist bar, terrible atmosphere. I ordered a crepe dessert that was miscommunicated as another dessert off the menu despite me using the number of the item off the order list. When the wrong plate was brought to me I simply asked if I could get the actual item I had ordered instead. The waiter took the plate calmly and left. A few minutes later the woman I had placed the order with came out and started yelling at me for the miscommunication. She pointed again and again at the menu telling me what I had ordered. It must have been terrible English, not hers to blame (full blown sarcasm in case you didn't pick up on it).... I tried to rectify the situation by saying I was sorry, but she kept screaming at me that now she had to pay for my dessert. At this point I asked if I could have the incorrect plate back just to calm her down. She walked off with the plate, then adjusted our happy hour receipt to charge my friends and I for the beers that were supposed to be free; I'm assuming to cover the dessert she claims she had to pay for. I paid the full scam amount and gave her an extra 100000 dong to pay for the plate of food I never got. After all this she took my money and turned her chin up at me as if I had gravely offended her. Never have I felt this harassed by a food establishment in my entire life. I guess this is what to expect from a restaurant/bar catering to white folks that clearly despises them, or maybe my English skills still need refining.

My wife and I stopped for food 1 evening and although it wasn’t busy and could sit anywhere we were sat right at the front to try and encourage other people in. That obviously means you are a mark for the street vendors. Charged for a wet napkin that we were given before our food. The food was okay but it does not come from the Donkey itself, my wife spotted it being brought from up the street on a tray. The staff were polite and friendly and tried to help me use chopsticks which is a bit of a long shot! The bar is across the road from Miss Saigon which wins the award for loudest music.

Food is not cooked in the same building so by the time it arrived it was just barely warm. Steak was marinated in something weird. Half rare and half well done. Overall, not good value for the money.

Great bar with super friendly staff and great drink specials. This bar is in the middle of the main bar area and a great place to watch people, then dance the night away. One of the best in the street. Also the toilets were very clean and private.

We can go out, dance, smoke and drink! good music and super sociable waiters

Bui Vien goes to town

Great vibe, great staff and good food. You can watch various sports games here, take advantage of the great drinks specials, grab a bite to eat and listen to some good tunes. It's a good mix of a club/bar, not the type of place to dance at but they always have a good vibe going!

One of the best cocktails in Saigon (quite nice presentation and taste good), good happy hours (buy 1 and get 1 for free), the staff is friendly and quite professional, beware the prices are without the 15% taxes what is written on the first page of the menu.. We came back twice and would recommend to anyone :-)

Me and my sister usually come here when we want to get out of stress. Good place for those who do not want crowded places. And the DJ plays english song. The staffs were so friendly.

This is by far one of the best clubs I have been to since being in HCMC. The bar is Egyptian themed and has two levels top is for foreigners and bottom for locals, you feel like such a celebrity when security escorts you to to the top floor. The atmosphere is amazing and the DJ knows his stuff, you are met with somewhat friendly staff who will have your order ready in no time. There are pool tables and a Foosball table as well as darts and other activities to keep your drunk and balloon high self occupied.

It's situated on the evergreen (24/7 ) Bu Vien street. It has a nice sitting upstairs Terrace with a good street over . It has a live band and disco. The prices are not so friendly especially for budget travellers. A drink costs almost 5 times in comparison to the pubs just a few meters down street

By far the biggest scam and rip off I experienced in ho chi minh city. The waiter came to our table with packaged wet naps and gestured them to us, opened them for us to use, and then charged them to our bill at the end once we got the bill. Secondly, peanuts were placed on our table which we were also charged for eating. Where is the customer service in ripping people off without telling them things cost money?! What restaurant charges for WET NAPKINS? Do no go to this bar, I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!!!

Staff are more interested in themselves than customers. Self-absorbed and superior....watch out if you are thinking of enjoying their happy hour... 3 for 2, which is not really a very good happy hour offer at all, depends upon the position of the moon relative to the equator, the type of beer you order, and the fickle mood of the so-called servers.... give it a pass and visit any number of better deals around there....
