Nice latino bar is still the same as 20 years ago. Some same singers and music style. Good and elegant service. Just prices rise a bit high. They charge music fee in drinks and food so it’s not fair for who drinks more than others because the more you drink the more you pay for music. There are some customers staying till the close time with only one drink. They should charge music fee separately and the customers will drink more because drinks prices reduce. I paid 500k for only 2 beer corona bottles. Can’t come regularly even if I want

This place the best live music in the town. Simply hands down. It has a cave like entrance and the entire place is underground. It has red/ Amber lighting and is a very cosy place for you to take your girl for a nice close dance. The crowd is very lively and generally has a mix of both stags and families. Plus there are no entry fees ( in fact, the same is true for all clubs in HCM). Food is good and the cocktails are a smashing hit ( try the Whiskey Sour). Also the prices are very reasonable. 6-7lac Vietnam Dong for 2 pax.

It is old bar with classic design. It has live band and located in district 1. Staffs are friendly. The music is ok and the place is clean. However the mocktail & fruits platter are over price (cost approx 800k for 2 mocktails & 1 fruits platter), and the vibe is not same as few years ago (too many noisy, smoking & drunk people, especially among chinese speaking). If you are looking quiet crowds enjoying live music, this is not the place. A bit disappointed, perhaps it will get better in the future.

Went to the bar, not the restaurant. Loved the bar as soon as I walked in there. Drinks, laughters, live music, friendly staff and customers... The only thing is they close too early for me.

This bouncer was very aggressive and shouted at my friends and I when we came into the bar. He told us there was no table and I told him that was fine because we were here to dance… When I went to look around downstairs for the dance floor he told me to go back upstairs and I was not allowed to be anywhere else but at the bar. I left in the man followed me out the door and continue to shout about how he had already told me there wasn’t a table. Seriously rude and not impressed

The waiter always give the wine list, until you request the coctail list. We ask him twice to have the coctail list😒 One of the best seller drinks is crazy peach, maharani. 4 glasses and 1 fruit platter 1600k dong in total. It was expensise cost for side dish. There’s a lot of foreigner here. The singer is good. But I think it’s suitable for baby bommers generation😢

Great resident live band & singer keep the vibes for late evening wind down. Latino & old school pop music for easy enjoyment. Per bottle beer 240++.

Enjoy the Latin music night…. Nice little place hidden from the main road. Climb some stair to a corner with enter a small door to the place. Resemble a old barn. Nice atmosphere. We came early at 8.30pm and managed to get a cosy corner tall table seat. Order a jug of sangria- a little too sweet for my liking. Didn’t go for the fruit platter as the review here mention it’s cut throat price. Lol Basically the performance has 2 sets of the different singers and artist. Each set last about 2 hours. The resident band doing the instrumental are good. Lastly the minus point is the lousy tall stool- uncomfortable to sit. Wooden stool with tiny seat without back rest and it’s has balance issue. If the CG is off you will fall off. End of the night Gives u bad back ache Overall enjoy the performance.

Classic place with good live music. Live music starts after 9 PM. Dark and cozy music bar. Would definitely go again to chill. Only draw back is no food served but only fruits and peanuts.

If you are carving for a little bustling atmosphere and Latin vibe, this will definitely a great place to come. The food is quite overpriced indeed, however, the nice live music is a big plus that worths a try for those who are interested in.

everything dark and dim so you cant see the roaches crawling all over the floor and your feet. thought i was imagining it but on my way to the bathroom where there was light i flung off my croc to find a cockroach climbing around. immediately left before drinks could come. the live band sounded good though and there were some people having fun

Not a bad experience with good live music. One corona beer is 270K VND after service + VAT which I considered to be bit high (Other beers are similar in price) but staff does not push you to drink more after 30-60 minutes or have you buy a staff drink. I wish it has better tequila than Jose Cuervo Especial (total junk for college students).

Staff with terrible attitude, they just want customer order wine, and asked us to order fruit platter and ofcourse, with over charged price. If you deny and order cocktail with same price 250k, they were upset and rude at us. Carmen now is worst place ever in Sai Gon and the owner let his staff do that to customer. Do not come here.

I personally didnt like it but it was crowded with Vietnamese. When i went there was a live band singing english and korean songs. It was very dark inside. 230k for 1 small tiger beer. i normally pay 25k. Basically it is for the very rich young Vietnamese.

If youre looking for latin vibes for live music this is for you. I forgot my backpack and they legit called me to come bsck and get it. Im grateful for the staff there. Great service and people working here. Please support

The performers were awesome but the drinks were too expensive even when they use cheaper ingredients. The cocktail was so sweet, I cannot even taste the spirit.

Was here several years ago and am so glad they are still around! Climb up a set of stairs and crawl into a little hole to hear one of the best Spanish Live bands and dance the night away. The service, decor and vibe is on point. Sangria is a bit on the sweeter side for our liking but the music is boss !

Very private Havana feel club thar was dimly lite and a great selection of singers and variety of music played. I loved it there. Truly felt like I was back in Havan Cuba. The door greeters walk you in and it's just a cool experience from the very moment you enter. Yhe crowd was a very rich crowd and good people everywhere. The drinks 🍸 and selection of liqueur was top shelf. Beautiful club. I highly recommend you put this on your stop just for the experience and feel of another place that TAKES YOU to Cuba and back.

It can be strange to come to Ho Chi Minh and listen to Latin American music. But it's no different than listening to pop in clubs. Singers sing their live songs. Latin, Old Pop... Ho Chi Minh is a hot place. You'll never regret coming here for a unique experience on your trip. Most of them come from foreigners, and there are employees and sometimes 1 or 2 tables of locals.

Great bar with live music. They even take song requests and nailed it! Drinks were reasonably priced. I ordered a cocktail but noticed a lot of other tables ordering bottles of wine. The atmosphere is more laid back. There was dancing area which was the only qualm I had.

We went to Carmen's as part of a food tour. It was just fabulous. The six piece band is very talented and plays Latin music. While we were there they had two vocalists who were very entertaining and talented. I was so amazed to find a music venue like this in Saigon.

As I was sitting inside enjoying the live music, I thought “this place is great. I’ll come again tomorrow”. Then I got my bill for one glass of sangria: just over $12 USD. In the USA it’s around $9-$11. I can’t imagine why it would be so expensive in Vietnam!

I went to a wine dinner here. It was my first time and the restaurant was beautify. It had a very European feel with stained glass and antiques throughout. The manager was absolutely great. A wonderful evening.

It is a good bar. I had a happy memory at the bar ten years ago with my wife. The price is acceptable with the good service. The waiters and waitresses are nice and professional. The singers have good voices and good dance.

Carmen is an overpriced tourist trap with obnoxious music, careless servers, atrocious drinks and poor service. There are many good bars in HCMC. Avoid this place.

I literally spent one of my best nights in HCM in Carmen! It was so cool atmosphere, I had so much fun, excellent music, service, people! I cannot be happier! Thank you thank you thank you

We were at Carmen as part of a Vespa Adventure tour. We weren’t there long but we saw two great musical acts. The drinks we had were delicious and the crowd was full and in good spirits. Pretty good experience and I’ll try to come back.

Great atmosphere and wonderful performances! I would suggest booking a table and not being stuck sitting down at the front. There’s only a metre between the sitting tables and the stage, you can’t dance and it’s super awks. The standing tables or upstairs would be the best spot for having a dance along and chatting to your group. Also, check your bill and if they give you nuts or snacks, you’re going to get charged for them 🙌🏻

So much fun. Great live music from a variety of different acts. Attentive service. A great end to the night for us but looked as if some people had been in there all evening. Only word of warning is the stairs are quite steep and you leave through a tiny door.

Filipinos playing Brazilian music wearing Mexican hats...in Saigon. And the funniest part is that no one dances...they just sit stoically at their tables until each song is finished, then go back to their phones. Cool space though.
