There are way better party hostels than this one. I didn’t like the vibe of the staff, they were not helpful in times of need. For example, the electricity in our dorm room got shut off and only after asking 3 times, someone was finally going to check and helped to repair. It was early in the morning, it was hot and the air conditioning did not work. Then we were send to a different room because of a weird smell coming from the bathroom. The people cleaning the rooms came in at early times, making it hard to sleep after 9am, since they were loud and turned the lights on. The dorm beds have no curtains, so you might sleep bad anyway. I booked for 3 nights and didn’t get a discount. When I asked why not, I got many different reasons from different staff members. I do not recommend this hostel.

Very popular with young travellers. Great friendly staff. Free breakfast and a free beer in the evening! the cheap drinks at the bar all night. Daily pub crawl as well as chilled out friendly atmosphere. Bit of a hike to "ur pants" which is in the top floor, but i cannot complain as the room was good and after a few drinks the endless stairs felt like no problem at all. WiFi was more reliable than that in Australian hostels!

Good location but everything inside is so so overpriced. Taxi to the airport is 8 times more expensive than elsewhere. Staff were Ok but not willing to budge on anything. The breakfast choice is free but normally cost 40k, I asked to upgrade my breakfast to a sausage sandwich which is 50k but they wouldn't let me even for another 30k which is just unreasonable if you ask me. Free coffee is served in pint glasses which is so dumb. How hard is it to get normal mugs?! Thought I was going to have a good time but I was most disappointed.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hangout Hostel. It's very centrally located, close to several markets, parks, and bars. The staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are comfortable for large dorm rooms. Bunks are assigned, which is helpful, and they each have a storage locker- either bring your own locker or rent one at the hostel. Our dorm room had an attached bathroom, but there are more toilets and showers for everyone to use as well. It was clean and we were grateful for the AC! The staff helped us book a very affordable overnight excursion to the Mekong Delta which we so enjoyed! Our tour guide (Huy) was amazingly hilarious and we had so much fun with each activity. I would recommend you try and make time for a trip to the Mekong! They also helped us book our overnight bus ticket to Dalat and booked our hostel there as well. (If you book to stay in their sister hostel in Dalat through the reception desk rather than online then you can get a discount!) The free drink every evening does draw in a young party crowd, so do be aware. We're not really "party people" so tend to not stay up late with everyone else. We have decent earplugs and eye masks, so I would suggest you bring those if you plan on sleeping while everyone else is partying to loud music. It's just something that happens at hostels so we expected it!

I didn’t stay here but I did go to the bar a few times. The first time for the pub crawl. It was really fun and most of the staff were lovely but there was one girl, I think Scottish, who was insanely rude. She’s probably fed up of dealing with drunk people every day, but perhaps maybe it’s time to change your job if that’s the case? Another night we were at the bar and she started screaming at one of the other girls who worked there. In front of the whole bar, she actually really upset the girl. It was completely unprofessional and it almost felt like bullying. Not sure what happened to cause the outburst but it made us feel uncomfortable and we left. It’s a shame as the rest of the staff were always so nice.

Cool place! The board selling motorbikes is very useful. They give a free beer every night, rooms are clean, location is central and breakfast is good. My favorite thing was the little waking tour map available at reception: definitely saved us a lot of time researching what to visit. No complaints about this hostel!

A great location, with good rates. You get a meal and a beer included for the price! Atmosphere can be great, depends on your roomies. It is a bit troublesome to climb up especially if you are at the top floor, and toilets can be lacking. Good place to meet fellow travellers.

The staff is extremely friendly, and it's the best place to meet new people! The mixer games are super fun and pub crawl is a must-go. But rooms need a lot of maintaining, as there are rats sometimes running around.

Social party hostel in Ho Chi Minh city. This place is a lot more quieter than it's more lively counterpart down the road but still had a social scene going on downstairs, where groups of people will congregate for food, drinks etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the state of the rooms and bathrooms left a lot to be desired. The rival 'backpackers' hostels are so much nicer in terms of quality of the rooms and bar area. Great location right next to the walking street and a good selection of tours etc to choose from whilst you're there. I have heard they can be a bit overpriced but you pay for the convenience and the assurance that what you paid for will turn up...eventually!

Unreasonable staff. I was very sick and had a cough before arrival, and decided that I wanted to stay elsewhere in a single room to not get other people sick, but they refused to refund me despite the circumstances. Also, I was eating an apple and they kicked me out because it wasn't food that I bought at the hostel. It was an APPLE. Would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. Stay at a better hostel and just stop in if u want to meet people.

The place is clean, you get two free beers a night in their bar. There is a party every night and it feels like as very inclusive hostel, something which is not all that common these days. I will stay here again when I return to Saigon in a few days. Happy to accept a free shot in return for such a lovely review ;)

Excellent hostel for backpacker like me, the location are very easy to find that located near walking street, staff are friendly to help us about room check-in and tour advise. The bar is good to enjoy with DJ night on weekend. Great to stay

First experience being in a hostel out of my country and boy I’m not disappointed! Loved this place, staff and people I met! Simply wow.. highly recommended for people who want to meet and be with different people..haven’t had food here because we’re always on the move. There’s happy hours, pub crawl, games and a lot of activities done by people in the hostel(staff and residents)... no lift had to walk up 3 floors bwahaha! 🤪 if I’ll be in HCMC Vietnam in future, I’ll always come back to this place.... 🥰
