This is an excellent Vietnamese fine dining restaurant. Where the presentation is exquisite and the taste is amazing. Don't come here in any rush as there will be a wait for the desired selection as it is genuinely cooked from scratch - a good thing. There is music, good quality piano and violin when we were there. The song selection went with the restaurant quality and theme. It is very good. The location is easy to find with two or three other good restaurants nearby also. I would recommend this for business or a special occass6ion.. in fact, for just about any meal! It is great.

We were recommended to have dinner at the Mandarine Restaurant as it was supposed to serve the "best" Vietnamese cuisine in town. Boy, was the hotel concierge wrong. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and service on point. Those were the only saving grace for the night. We ordered Menu 3, which seemed to be the popular choice that night. The 7 dishes were served very rapidly and other than the appetiser and soup, the rest of the food could hardly be labeled as authentic Vietnamese. It appeared more like the chef could not quite decide between Chinese takeout and old school French style food. The level and quality of food did not do justice to the price of the meal. Visit only if you want to admire the fancy decoration at the restaurant, else don't waste your time.

The space is very fancy. The service is really good. Love their design. Food quite good but the tastes are similar to Chinese food. The price is higher than others.

Fine dining Vietnamese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh. Decorations is very exquisite and it seems they spend a lot of time on plating. Food taste is so-so. Service staff is well trained and attentive.

Amazing restaurant in Hochimin. The food is definitely top class and the prices are decent. You will end up paying 3x if you want this quality in JP. There are other restaurants which serve good quality food with less price but if you want the top notch quality, you won't regret coming here

A dinning experience straight out of Fawlty Towers. The trophy for Vietnamese restaurant of the year 2005 is proudly displayed at the entrance but sadly the service has descended considerably since then. From seating a party of six across 2 seperate tables through forgetting to serve 2 of the 6 main courses the service was a comedy of errors. Food quality was inconsistent with some good plates and some that were very poor. A lot of work is required to bring this restaurant up to its previous standards and justify the 5* prices.

The Thai Authentic fresh spring rolls with shrimp & pork and the Southern grilled fish are very nice. Restaurant has been visited by the Imperial Japanese family before. Good ambience for dinning. The restaurant has also been awarded 21 years of culinary excellence and 101 best asia restaurants in 2014. You may want to give this restaurant a try. Don't miss it.

The restaurant has nice retro design, locates in the quiet road in busy Saigon downtown. The staffs are helpful and friendly. The prices here are crazy expensive. At rge first look tobthe menu, you don't think it's not expensive, but you'll change your mind when they deliver the meal to you. All the dishes are in very small amount. Finally, you need to pay a bug bill if you want to get full since you have to place much more orders.

The ambience swept me away when we entered. Was expecting a lot more but frankly the food didn't match up to the ambience. Very ordinary not unlike what I'd expect in any restaurant, except with fancy plating. Especially the fried rice is so so average like what you'd get from any Chinese takeaway. Only the beef roll and banana dessert was still OK. Food was served pretty fast for a 7 course festive menu.

Venue itself and ambience is gorgeous. I just wasn’t impressed with the food. Perhaps it was a personal taste scenario and was probably expecting a little more flavours. Staff were incredibly accommodating which was humbling.

The cappuccino was not intense enough in coffee taste and was more like a latte, so I wanted a new one, but the bartender refused to make a new one and just send the old one back two times. So, in the end, I gave up and didn't want it. Regarding the food.: we ordered seafood soup it was served in a coconut (pretty cute) then some morning glory and steamed shrimps with garlic. All was pretty great in taste. At the end they serve a water with lime so we could dip our fingers and remove the fishy smell from fingers which was great.

Had a wonderful family meal. Food was served promptly and had lots of flavours. Highly recommend the chicken soup served in a carved coconut with the flesh able to be eaten from the sides of the coconut. Staff were happy and attentive. Only downside was being full and not trying more dishes. Will need to return to try more.

This time I ordered a course meal. (Drinks are different) The taste is delicious. There was a piano performance and the atmosphere of the shop was also good. The only regret is that the toilet is difficult to flow.

One of the best dining places in Hochiminh City. Decorated in traditional Chinese style with luxurious touch. Popular for casual/formal business meetings among Japanese businessmen. Better check the dress code. Will be served with excessive kindness. Either can choose a course menu or a la carte. Most dishes cost around VND270,000(last update Dec. 2015), which is quite reasonable but rather pricy considering the small amount. Recommend "Roasted Duck" and "Sautéed Vermicelli(noodle) with Crab Meat"

Honestly my worst experience in Saïgon, the food is not good, and I'm not even talking about the ridiculous presentation. I took the duck, it was overcooked. The spring rolls were useless. Plus, I ordered red wine and they served it to me cold and full of tannin. When I complained because the taste was obviously bad the waiter didn't even apologize. I got another glass and when I tried it I was so shocked by the difference of taste between the two glasses that I asked if it was a different wine, the waiter then confessed (still without any apology) that the first glass he served me was from the end of the bottle which was stored in the fridge. In the end, there is nothing good about this place. The food and the service is awful. And it's waaaaay overpriced.

We came as a family of 10 pax. Ordered 2 set menu and some alacarte dishes. The food was not bad but service was horrible. Their staff aren’t tentative. Everyone in my fam wasn’t happy with the service and left with disappointment.

The best restaurant in Saigon !! Extraordinary food

  • 2/5 the long m. 1 year ago on Google
The food could get 2 stars if it isn't so overpriced. You get fancy price, not fancy food going to this place. For business purpose it's ok as people focus on work more than the food. And you will have a maitre d'hotel pouring your glass of wine. If you want to really enjoy the food, go somewhere else.
