Gave this 3 stars because the price is overly expensive for such a small portion. The banh cuon is indeed very delicious. But other than that, other dishes were very underwhelming. The pork ham (Cha Lua) accompanying banh cuon was so expensive and tiny and looked very sad and cold. The fried prawn cake was very thick in coconut milk flavor. For such a long standing restaurant, I hope they will up their game with better quality food and more reasonable prices. Oh and they charge a fee to look after your motorbike too! 🥴

Established in 1976! This place is famous with locals. Super clean tables, floors and utensils, with plenty of AC units and fans. We had “rau ma” pennywprt drink, it’s an oldtimers drink that’s refreshing in hot weather. Edit: downgraded to 2 stars. Cockroaches crawling underneath our table. Probably many many restaurants have cockroaches but to see them while we eat is unappetizing.

Delicious food. Ate here twice and everything we had was yummy. Try the rolled rice noodles and crab spring rolls. If you want soup, the crab soup was not bad too. Like the Chinese soup often served at wedding dinners, it thick, starchy and full of crab meat. This is a no frills restaurant and prices are not cheap (by local standards) but acceptable. The service is alright, efficient and a bit sullen, but not too the point of being rude.

One of the most long-standing steam rice rolls eateries in Vietnam. The very-must-try is Egg steam rice rolls, with the soft boiled egg comes long at the rice roll layer and meat filling inside. Dishes other than steam rice rolls are just ok...

the bún chả Hà Nội and bánh cuốn thịt củ sắn are delicious. the grilled meat in the bánh cuốn is tender and very flavorful and a generous serving. remember to chew longer and savor the taste. the pork slices for the bún chả would be better if there is some fat on it. good for those who prefers lean meat. the bánh tôm looks appetizing but the crust is not crispy but on the hard side and the filling is a bit dry. you will have to dip it in the sauce.

Enjoyed fried beef on noodles. Also had squid fried in fish sauce. Quick service. Small place, clean and good varied menu.

Order: banh cuon, shrimp with noodles in sauce Verdict: one of the best dishes of the trip. Had to get a double order. It was dad's favorite.

Great combination of meat, vegetables and rice roll but rice roll filling are too much to handle. Shirmp cake and pork bologna are not included in roll rice price. Lastly price are not very affordable .

Great steamed rice paper. Thin wrap chewy and soft. Filling is tasty. However price has increased so much and with almost 100k/ dish (pictured here) it isnt filling enough. We have been fans of this place but may look for somewhere else that worths the money. Service also needs to be improved. Don’t throw plates on table in front of customers please.

Certainly one of the best bang cuon in Saigon. You can try the banh cuon trung with 1 egg... Even more amazing.

was made perfectly with the proper texture, not mushy with a slight bite. The price is little more than others .

The banh cuon is made to order and comes out hot and delicate. I like it super thin and they have other items good as well.

Yummy steamed rice roll! It is freshly made for you while you’re waiting for your order. It’s a shame that they don’t have a proper menu with price for the customer.

They are known for their bánh cuốn tôm thịt (steamed rice rolls) and rightfully so. The rice sheets are made fresh and have the most delightful texture. You get the incredibly crisp greens, slightly sweet fish sauce, silky delicate rice sheets, and juicy filling. The flavors balance each other beautifully. However, the minced meat in the filling is too fatty for my taste. I recommend getting bánh cống (fried prawn cake) as a side dish. I usually don't like bánh cống but the brilliant addition of taro in their version makes it truly irresistible. The chả (pork sausage) plate is a separate charge. 52.000 vnđ is pretty high for bánh cuốn (68.000 vnđ with chả) but I always leave stuffed.

Get a vietnamese person with you or know what to ask for. Rice paper rolls with various meets and sauces to make on the table, you keep ordering whatever you run out of. Loved it, deffo recommend!

Its a basic place to grab food. The Ban Cuon are really good, but a bit pricey compared to other places. I had some stomache problems the day after dining here though. (Did not eat breakfast)

This was good, but not as good as I remember pre-pandemic. The sauce is still good, but the side lettuce and bean sprouts were wilted and not that fresh. We also ordered the egg rolls. It was crispy, but it was still a little gummy inside. Probably needed to be fried a little longer. By the way, if you eat the fermented pork that's already on the table, they will charge you for it. If you use the wet wipes, I think they also charge you.

Love the banh cuon and the crab spring roll. The spring roll comes with a huge side of herbs and vegetables. Highly recommended!

I love bánh cuốn and friends told me to try this place because it’s super popular to the locals. Service was good and the bánh cuốn is ok. It’s not bad but to me it’s just mediocre as I’ve have much better ones in the streets. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get but they seem to do well so good for them. Everything was an additional fee like the Cha and the Nem. You have to pay extra to get that added on. We paid $357k for 4 people with two bottles of water. Glad I tried it, just wished it was more of a “wow” to me since everyone hyped it up.

Banh Cuon are excellent and generous with the filling. Just missing the classical Vietnamese herbs which could make this dish perfect…

Not the authentic as it's said. Pricey, worst flavor & bad service. You can have a good full dish with any no-signboard local vendors in half price compared to this one. Too many waitors but no helps when we got dirts on table. Shamed on its so-called authentic banh cuon.

Our favorite banh cuon place! Every time we visit HCMC, we have to make a stop here. We always get the banh cuon though I’m surprised to see only 2 rolls were on the plate. The last time we ate here was 4 years ago and we thought more came on the plate. That’s okay because it was still very delicious. Just how we remembered it. It also comes with a couple pieces of chả lụa and bean sprouts with lettuce. The banh beo is also the best we’ve ever tasted. Our first time trying. It was 4 thick pieces with a nice topping of ground pork, baby shrimp, black fungus, onions, dried shrimp powder and fried bread croutons. I can’t believe we’ve never ordered this before! The banh beo has such a good coconut flavor, we love it! We come to Vietnam for the yummy food, not for the service.

😠 It's a street full of pubs. That's about it. Blaring musics. Girls dancing on stage. Tourist. Not recommended. Too noisy. But what really put me off is the people... There can be up to 5 persons grabbing my arms my bags to lead me to their pubs. I have to constantly struggle to keep their hands off...
