It's almost a joke how incredibly beautiful, well thought out and wonderful An Lam Saigon River is. One of the most beautiful places I've been in this world, incredibly designed facilities and beautiful, high class rooms. We had a wonderful butler who booked everything for us and had wonderful complimentary boat rides, airport transfers, drinks everyday and even fishing. We had beautiful massages, and a private pool. Wonderful food at the restaurant also and tasty breakfast. Staff were perfectly helpful- my partner and I were very happy. No problems with mosquitoes, lots of local wildlife, and fresh fruit everyday was delicious. Rooms were cleaned daily, and turned down in the evenings. Amazing staff! We were so well looked after- I wish I could give you all 10 stars. Even slight construction on sight was no problem. Thank you for a beautiful 3 nights- you made us very happy and it was the most perfect place in all Vietnam!

No word to describe how gorgeous and peaceful this resort was. A beautiful fusion of luxury and lush jungle. The room was spacious, clean and luxurious. We stayed there with our two little kids. The staff was beyond amazing!! The kids enjoyed fishing, fish feeding and the pool. Breakfast and dinner tasted delicious and beautifully presented!! It was a dream stay!!!!

I will preface by saying that this is the first time i have ever reviewed anything. This hotel is definitely not what it represents itself to be and is not worth the price or is at all conducive for people that want to spend any time in Ho Chi Minh. The advertised boat transfers would only give you about 1.5 hours in town if you wanted to return by boat. The alternative is to spend close to an hour each way in a taxi fighting traffic. The hotel in person doesn’t live up to the pictures or description on the website. THe hotel bills itself as a retreat from the city although the noise from the construction, the ants in the room and on the food in the restaurant wouldn’t make for a very relaxing break. This may have been a five star hotel in 1992 but it doesn’t come close in 2022. We ended up checking out early which was when things got stranger. They sent housekeeping in to inventory our room (and accuse us of trying to steal a laundry bag) prior to our departure. In short, if you are a foreigner visiting Vietnam you should strongly consider other options while you visit Ho Chi Minh.

Extraordinary Exceptional Excellent Luxury resort with exceptional facilities, service and food. We stayed over the Christmas holidays and arrived early evening to a magical setting of fairly lights and wonderful Christmas decorations. Our Garden View room was very good with a large bathroom and lounge area. We were also allocated our own Butler and she was exceptional organising dinner booking and more. We had dinner in the resort restaurant which overlooks the Saigon River. The food really good with many options including authentic dishes of Vietnam, but for those wanting something else grab a burger. Near the restaurant are many seating options to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun set. Breakfast choices unbelievable from sushi to eggs your way. Huge choice fresh fruit and amazing drinks. The resort has a complementary speed boat and this goes to the city which takes 20 mins. Coming back at sunset or night is lovely as the lights from the city stunning. We did a few tours from the resort to the tunnels, floating market and temples. The swimming pool is a good temperature and has service for drinks and food, no need to leave your sun lounger. This resort is the best we have stayed in absolute luxury and a romantic setting. Good for couples, solo or family with older children. Highly recommend this resort. Love your local guide -M❤️ Follow me if helpful

An Lam Retreat Saigon River is a true hidden gem nestled in a forest, offering a serene and picturesque retreat experience. The resort's design, blending seamlessly with nature, creates a beautiful and tranquil ambiance that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret paradise. The staff at An Lam Retreat Saigon River are friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable stay. Their exceptional service was highlighted when they promptly provided you with a medical kit during an unexpected accident, showcasing their dedication to guest well-being. The breakfast at the resort is exceptional, providing a delectable and diverse spread of options to satisfy different palates. This hearty breakfast sets the perfect tone for an adventurous day ahead. The scenic views surrounding the resort are breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop for taking stunning pictures and preserving cherished memories. While the price might be on the higher side for some, it is justified by the luxurious experience and impeccable service provided by the resort. The level of comfort, tranquility, and the overall experience make the cost acceptable for those seeking a premium retreat. In conclusion, An Lam Retreat Saigon River is a beautiful haven, offering a magical escape into nature's embrace. From the tranquil forest setting to the exceptional staff and fantastic breakfast, every aspect of the resort contributes to an unforgettable stay. While the price might be a consideration for some, the overall experience is well worth it. If you are looking for a luxurious and peaceful retreat away from the city, An Lam Retreat Saigon River is the perfect destination to indulge and rejuvenate your senses.

It truly is a getaway spot not too far from downtown Saigon. They have their own speed boat to take you there from the waterbus station on Ton Duc Thang. We booked the villa with a private pool and the room was amazing. Sure it was surrounded with trees so mosquitoes roam freely but if you keep the doors closed and use mosquito spray frequently you'll be fine. Two things that I didn't like were one, they only have one restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so the food selection was... not up there with the price they were charging; and second, they were still doing some construction so it got noisy during what was supposed to be our quiet & chill afternoon in the pool. I think if they fix these two things then it'll really be worth it to pay the premium pricing for a quick weekend getaway here.

The place was nice, really like their style of architecture that was combined with old trees and nature beautifully. The service and food was also great. The breakfast buffet wasn’t so special but as we don’t eat that much in the morning, that was just enough. But what got us really disappointed was the size of the private pool. It was nearly a half size of the picture on the website. We booked river side pool vila, because the pool looks enough big for two adults on the website, but in reality, it really wasn’t. There was the same type of villa next to ours where we could look from our terrace where there was no one ( when there is, you can really play them outside from inside of your room, its that close.), the size looked the same so maybe there is one villa that looks like the picture on the web, but we never saw one. Another problem is there are so many mosquitoes all day. Even if we kept the room shut all the time, they managed to come in when they bring food or when we had problem with no hot water coming out ( the staffs kept the door opened so I had to shut it or tell them close everytime) and we got many bites for 3 night stay. We go stay in this kind of villas in many places in SE Asia but this was definitely the worst case of mosquitos. Also if you consider staying there for more than 2 nights, you should note that there are only two boats going to the city at 1130am and 130pm and there are no proper restaurants to eat around, so you have to take a cab to go eat in the city by yourself and come back. ( it takes about 30 mins to 45 mins. And there is only one restaurant in the hotel ( it looks like 2 or 3 in the website but no). Thanks to the nice furniture and villa interior, we had nice to time after all, we always prefer to stay chilled by the pool, it didn’t come true. We also thought of using main pool but it was full of big group of local people having party there for a night or something and the main pool isn’t that big either so there was no space at all. All the staffs were very pleasant and doin on their best job, our butler spoke really good English and very helpful. But we are surely not coming back only for that, what they are missing is what we value the most.

We were here for a birthday for 10 people and expected a 5 star service since it’s a famous retreat famous for good service. But we were welcome by Mr.Thanh arrogance’s attitude towards us. Before we ordered food, in the back of the menu was a USED mask. After that, we asked to order bread but he was giving us a hard time and finally agreed to give us bread. It never came and we were charged for it and he insisted he did. When we asked about it he basically told us we lied about the bread. This was unacceptable service from a 5 star restaurant and retreat. This will be the first and also last time we come here.

This was one of the most amazing retreats I have ever stayed in and incredible value for money. We stayed here at the end of a 2 week trip through Vietnam and it was the perfect way to relax for a few days. Incredible setting with wonderful rooms, excellent food and lovely friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend it.

The location and ambiance are truly remarkable, and the proximity to Saigon is a definite plus. The drinks and cocktails were enjoyable. However, I must say that the food in the restaurant left much to be desired. We ordered Vietnamese and pasta bolognese, and they fell short of what we expected in terms of quality. I sincerely hope that they can enhance the culinary experience because this place has the potential to offer so much more.

Our stay at An Lam for 3 days was phenomenal! It was a beautiful venue with lush greenery, a clean pool, on-site restaurant and a nice walking garden. It was close enough to the city but far enough to have some peace and quiet. We had Nhat as our assistant and he was so helpful and prompt. The food and coffee at the restaurant was delicious, and there was much attention to detail there. I asked about their pastries and bread and they said they are baked fresh on premises every day. Having the option to take a boat into town was a plus. I would definitely recommend here to my friends and family to stay.

A beautiful resort in the ‘jungle’, with great food but and very friendly staff all over. We stayed at the 2-bedroom villa with a private pool. The spa is nice, but somewhat expensive, Our butler was super helpful and friendly, as was all the staff.

The photos of this place do not do it justice. It’s far better in person. The service was faultless. Grounds of the resort and pool were beautiful. Rooms were immaculate, well fitted out and perfectly clean. The bed very comfortable. Breakfast (complimentary) and dinner was good - reasonably priced as well. I liked that it was out of the business of Ho Chi Minh City but only a 25min complimentary boat ride away. Much better than I had anticipated and will definitely stay again if we come back to Vietnam.

This place was ridiculously perfect. There are places that are beyond your expectations, but this place was above and beyond. The jungle environment was so peaceful and the Saigon River was beautiful. The entire resort demanded that you relaxed. Also, the gym was amazing!

Our big families had a great time staying here over Christmas weekend. Kudos to the team for their excellent services. The restaurant has very reasonable pricing, given their location and standards. We would recommend this resort to other friends. Oh, the water bus ride was an amazing experience as well.

That is my first time staying in An Lam Retreats Saigon River for one night. When I arrived at the resort, I felt treated like a VIP guest. Overall the environment in the resort, you will feel you come to the jungle and are comfortable. A lot of trees and plants surrounded you, and you can get fresh air even though they are placed on the side of the Saigon river. Every staff in the resort is nice, they are so sweet and provide any service for you as do as they can. They arrange different activities in each period, like a cookie-making course, yoga time, candle-making, etc. You won't feel bored when you are in the resort. Overall, for me, it was really wonderful, and I have a beautiful night with my boyfriend.

Hideaway resort nearby Saigon with the lush garden. What we like most is the swimming pool. It makes you feel like you’re swimming in the jungle with a little sunshine. You can find a lot of corners to chill and relax, like a regent lab or organic garden. The staff was so lovely. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning again.

Magic spot, really shaped our whole opinion of Ho Chi Minh City, great service, amazing setting. Very beautiful gardens, ponds and pool etc. The complimentary speed boat straight into the city is better than any limousine. Very very happy with our stay here, if only we had more time 🙏 credit to the designer of this place very unique and great style. The restaurant is world class as well. Thankyou for having us.

Very bad experience with their customer support. I booked the hotel to celebrate the anniversary with my partner. Unfortunately we had issues to enter Vietnam and asked for changing the date and informed 1 day and plenty phone calls. Not customer oriented at all. Super unfriendly and uncooperative receptionist and manager. Giving standard replies, cutting words, ignoring our phone calls and not trying to help at all with an attitude is not our problem. As a 5 star hotel with these high room rates this is not acceptable at all.

1.Wonderful environment - Like a pearl in Ho Chi Minh City, pure and verdant. 2. Nice service - we asked for a motorbike to rent and thank you for the staff's help. 3. Tasty breakfast - you can order as much as you want, tasty food and nice service. 4. Awesome Room - wide and clean and provides sea salt to bath. Actually i suggest choose garden view suites, it's enough. (I choose River View Suites) 5. Excellent facilities - Free pool, free private sauna and suggest if you want to use private pool in sauna, book before 1 hour. 6. Too expensive - I paid almost USD$250, but think 150-200 is a better price. 7. Sum up, I'll recommend An Lam to my friends.

I recently attempted to book a wedding event at this resort and unfortunately had a very unsatisfactory experience with their customer service. Despite reaching out via email, there was no response, giving the impression that smaller events were not a priority. The lack of communication was not only rude but also unprofessional. This experience has left me hesitant to consider staying at this resort in the future. I hope the management addresses these issues for better customer satisfaction. Update: Thanks for responding to my email and solve my issue. I deserve better rating for your service. Thank you

Great Butler ms Tran that super helpful and gentle to us. Amazing room service very well care to customers by a cleaning and sleep preparing during our dinner. Resort had great breakfast and nice room decoration with big bath tub and relaxed view. However room is not noise isolated with the other rooms beside especially when the resort allow children.

Outstanding experience Just minor tip as we weren't given the details instruction Private ferry will come pick you up from the Saigon waterbus station. You can chill at the Cafe there while waiting. Don't ask the local staff at the waterbus for full details as they almost made us take routine normal ferry Vu,.the best butler

This is a wonderful getaway sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city sprawl surrounding it. The food was great, the rooms are very nice, the location is serene, and the bar on the roof is a wonderfully unique immersive experience. I’d highly suggest taking advantage of the boat/shuttle and taking a few days to soak in this tropical getaway!

I had a great time staying at An Lam. The staffs are friendly and supportive. They also offered us free upgrade to the garden pool villa. It was on my birthday and they had simple decoration in the room and a birthday cake for me. The room is spacious and cozy. Highly recommend if you need a place to relax and don't want to travel far from HCMC.

A wonderful oasis in Ho Chi Minh. The place filled with wonderful tropical trees is very tranquil. My room is a suite with private pool beautifully decorated and a very comfortable bed. The staff is attentive and filled with smiles. The only downside of this resort is the food. It doesn’t fit the standard of the aesthetics and service of the place. The breakfast looks like a cheap 90’s hotel with plastic lids and frozen potatoes. Complete dissonance in appearance and taste with its surroundings. For a resort that prides itself in the environment it would be good to see where their ingredients come from. A local farm to table would better suit this place’s identity. The vegetarian items are dull. The deserts as basic but not in a tasty way. There is a major change that should happen in the kitchen for An Lam to taste as good as the place looks. I would be happy to come back if the cooking and baking changes. The spa is nice and treatment was good but completely overpriced even for a “luxury” resort, we are still in Vietnam. Best of all was the yoga and meditation practices with a truly knowledgeable teacher.

We stayed for one night in the basic room. Stunning place. Location fabulous on the water. Easy to get to via the arranged boat service from Saigon waterbus station. In room butler service were exceptional, cutting is fresh fruit and arranging airport transfers with no fuss. Room facilities are amazing, with bath, great shower, plenty of storage, and an enormous room. Pool is nice and restaurant is good quality. Cannot fault this for a luxurious stay in Saigon.
