Brilliant guesthouse. Very comfortable beds which have mattress toppers covering the hard mattress. Great hosts. Good quiet location but very close to all the action. Good quiet effective aircon and great hot showers. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Saigon.

3 nights staying at here was amazing! I love it so much & I mean it. From the way the host (Ms. Vy & her entire family) greet us, the room, the bathroom facilities & surrounding places, 5/5 stars! This is my first time travelling in Saigon & I would say, I will stay here again when I come back to Saigon. Room: Room is very clean, the host put so much effort to make sure every corner of the room is clean! Good job! AC working good, comfy bed. All in all, comfortable. Facilities: Clean bathroom, towels & new toiletries given to us. Hot shower working fine. I love it! Location: In District 1, even though on the map says this place is closer to Bui Vien street, you can sleep soundly away from the night life noises. Located at Pham Ngu Lao street of District 1, you can walk to every attractions, museums, post office at District 1. Also, if you are planning to do some laundry, there is a laundry service nearby name Funny Laundry. Convenience store available nearby (Family Mart & Circle-K). We’re also so grateful that Ms.Vy the host gave us her handmade map & briefed us the nearest attraction and must-go-places around Saigon. Thank you! Value to money: Indeed! Vy Khanh Guesthouse is among the affordable and worth to stay place in Saigon. Comments: 5/5 stars as for me. For a first-timer traveller like me, I would recommend you stay here.

100% recommended. Such warm hospitality from Ms Vy - this guesthouse is a haven to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Vy gave us a really helpful introduction to HCMC with a great homemade map, personal recommendations and even a list of helpful phrases. The location was perfect for us, within walking distance of all the main attractions and only 1 minute from the bars on the adjacent walking street, but amazingly the noise doesn’t travel as far as the guesthouse which is perfectly peaceful and quiet. The room was clean, had a soft comfortable bed, hot and powerful shower and good aircon. There were thoughtful extra touches like a multi plug socket on the bedside table. For such a low price, you really can’t go wrong.

Vy was super welcoming from the start and settled us in with a welcome drink before going through a map of Ho Chi Minh City - never pushing any particular place, just great tips for shopping, food etc. The room we had was super clean and compact - perfect for the price - aircon and great hot shower, comfortable bed, everything we needed for a one night stop. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vy’s guesthouse, and for the price, you won’t get any better!

I had a great stay here. Felt safe as a solo female traveler. Rooms are clean and have a mini fridge. Well located, walking distance to all of the big sights yet still quiet at night. The owner is super friendly and provided a handy map to use with personal recommendations. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed with Ms Vy for 5 nights and had a perfect experience. The room was spotlessly clean with good air conditioning, the location is in the heart of District 1 (very walkable to all attractions we wanted to see) and the owner was so lovely in taking care of us, providing recommendations for places to visit, doing our laundry for a very reasonable price, and even offering free coffee each morning. We would definitely stay here again!

Vy runs a guest house for budget travelers who want to stay in the heart of District 1. It is a humble but very clean and comfortable accommodation. The bed is perfect and the bathroom, although tiny, allows you to wash and shower with hot water and good water pressure. There is no elevator, but that, for most people, should not be a problem. This accommodation is a real experience of life in the heart of Saigon. Vy is a very nice person. She makes you feel welcome and helps you with everything you need. I recommend to let her advise you and hire the tours through her. You will save time and worries. We booked the Cu Chi tunnels and a two day trip to the Mekong and we couldn't be happier. Without a doubt Vy is the real heart of the accommodation. Thank you so much for everything. You’re a star!

Would have rated this place 0 star if possible. I did not stay at this property due to emergency situation. As per booking policy, I even cancelled the room when cancellation was free still they charged me the entire amount for 2 days. Worst hotel ever. I even tried to contact the owner but there was absolutely no response from her end. Don't ever book this place. This place is a fraud and will spoil your experience in Vietnam!

The room was clean and well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed, including a private bathroom and air conditioning. The guesthouse was located in a convenient location, within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse and would definitely recommend it to others. The owner and her mother were excellent hosts, and we felt well taken care of during our stay.

Super nice people that run the guesthouse. The room is very basic (bed, bathroom, fridge and dresser) but the bed was one of the most comfy we had in Asia! The shower was also great (super hot and good pressure). A little tricky to find but great location with marts and bakery very close. Walking street is 5 minutes away and the guesthouse will help you book tours/tickets as well!

Clean, small, cozy rooms in a really good location. We really enjoyed our stay here. The best thing at Vy Khanh Guesthouse was Vy, she helped us with everything, she had prepared maps and material for us and was doing daily food tours with the visitors. Big big thank you for the hospitality!

Vy is simply the best host ever. She gave us a map of the neighbourhood to discover the best of HCMC, and her place is perfectly located to do everything on foot. This stay Could not have been better.

We had a great stay at this guesthouse. The owner are really lovely and did even take care of our backpacks two weeks in advance. we are very thankful for that and would come back :) The room was fine but also pretty small. Buuut it’s also a budget hotel - so you shouldn’t expect too much. :) thank you for the stay

Simple hostel that had all the basic accommodations. Room was perfect size had a double bed, closet to put away clothes, two stools to place your bag and a small television with cable. The bathroom had the shower integrated but it was a good size. The room was very clean and amenities were provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner, small toothbrush) Very convenient if travelling light! The guesthouse is owned by Vy and her parents manage the place. They are very nice and welcoming. They are so helpful, providing hand written maps and suggesting local restaurants. The hostel is well situated to the downtown core for shopping and dining out. Right across the street is a large park with fresh flowers and trees. To access the place you turn down an alley which is good because it cuts down on the noisy main street. At night it was very quiet and we had a good night sleep. They also helped us make special arrangements since we arrived very early in the morning (6:30am) for a small fee included pickup from the airport 17$ and early check in 8$. After flying for almost 2 days we were so grateful to be able to have a place to rest! If you are looking for a great place that won’t break the bank, this is it! Greetings from two happy Canadians 🇨🇦 Adam & Lynn

We had a wonderful stay at Vy’s guesthouse! Vy and her family are so kind and hospitable. The room is clean, with a comfy bed, AC, and a private bathroom. It’s quiet despite being so close to all the action! It was perfect for our stay in Saigon and we would recommend! Thank you Vy!

My husband and I stayed at Vy Khanh Guesthouse for 2 nights dec 18-20 before heading to Cambodia and I have only positive words for this place. The location is good because the tourist destinations are just around this this place. You can just walk around (except for Cu Chi tunnel). The room given to us was on the 4th floor however, its very clean. The A/C is working perfectly as well as thw hot and cold shower. They changed the towels daily so you wont feel any discomfort. Even though the location is near the Backpacker street, the room is actually amazingly quiet that you'll have a good night sleep. The best thing about this place is the host. She was really hospitable and friendly that she has this ready-made map of district 1 and she was very helpful to us about where to eat, where to go. Everything that we need to know, she shared it. We would have spent more without her suggestions. We would love to come back next time.

Vy the owner was very friendly, provide map of sightseeing and shopping in English which makes our holiday so much easier. Serves us free coffee every morning. Room was spacious and clean. Would return for sure.

Vy's guesthouse is quality budget accommodation. It is safe and well run, and Vy is helpful, lining up a Cu Chi Tunnel tour for us at a better price than anything on line. If you are wanting a safe and homely environment in this area, my wife and I totally recommend Vy's place.

The guesthouse is located close to Giant Ibis Boarding/Drop-off Teminal, Bui Vien streeet and most tourist attractions since it is located near Pham Ngu Lao. Besides its location, the guest house is far from the noise in Bui Vien Walking Stret. The room is enough for 2 people with small luggages(backpackers). Space may not be enough for medium/large luggages. The rooms are located in second and third floor and there is no lift. They have very comfortable bed, hot showers with good water pressure, welcome drinks are provided, toiletries and they clean the room everyday. We were surprised to see the room cleaned even though we are only staying for 2 nights. The room also has a cable TV and mini refrigerator. For this price point, this is a really good deal! The best part is the hosts are very accommodating. I was allowed to leave my baggage at 6AM and accommodated my friend which arrived at 1AM. :)

Good hostel in the center of Ho Chi Minh located right near the park of 23rd September. Very nice and helpful staff. There's a welcome drink)) Rooms are tiny with a small window. But it's OK for a hostel. It's good that there're no sounds from the bar street, but from the room on the 2nd floor I could hear everything that went on on reception. Poor soundproofing inside the hostel.

The perfect place to stay in Saigon. Great location near everything but also nice and quiet. Comfortable rooms and great air conditioning, Ms Vy was very helpful! Would absolutely stay again next time I’m in town.

Vy was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Loads of information about the city on arrival and even helping us with a Mekon Delta tour after we moved to another place. We definitely recommend and would stay again.

A very good choice for accommodation in the heart of Ho Chi Min. Nice service, clean rooms and everything in the room functional for a very good price. We have not stayed in a better money/value place during our entire stay in Vietnam.

From the moment I arrived I knew it was the right choice, Vy and her mother are truly lovely people so kind and genuine. Vy has impeccable English , rare here, and is so helpful with wonderful advice and tips to help you navigate the city. She always takes the time to talk about your day. The map she gives is such a help and you can ask anything about the city and she will point you in the right direction. Rooms are perfect for sleep and shower, lovely and clean and exceptionally good value in Saigon. I really can’t recommend this guest house highly enough. Always greeted with a smile and coffee in the morning and always offered a cool juice on return from my day. Lovely lovely people, missing them already 😀 stayed for 8 days and would definitely stay again

A very basic no-frills hotel, nothing fanciful, everything just works. Great price and great location right in the middle of all the action, but due to the fact that you have to walk about 50+m into an alley, a lot of the noise has been blocked out. So you get to have a quieter rest at night. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Great little guesthouse in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Ms Vy is a great host, she welcomed me with a cold drink and a map of the city with all the attractions highlighted. My room was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. The guesthouse is in an alley just behind the main road, Ms Vy sent a map and instructions which made it really easy to find. It also felt very safe, and being off the main road was very quiet.

Very nice and quiet place where to stay. Vy and her family are very kind. Vy is always here to give good advices and even take you on tour ^^ Rooms are very clean and bed confortable. In the center of backpackers area but quiet place to sleep. I recommend :))

Nice little guesthouse with everything you need. Very central, a bit hard to find but Vy will send you a handy description how to get there. Vy is an awesome host, you definitely have to try her coffee. Our room was clean and quite with an own bathroom. They even had some toiletries like a toothbrush and soap (which was good as the airline lost our luggage) and towels. Can definitely recommend staying there.

My partner and I returned to this area of Saigon to spend a few days here before our flight departed. Having already stayed in the area we are familiar with the style of guest houses here. How happy we are to have found Vy’s place! Such an amazing experience. The rooms are very clean, with great natural light, hot water and adequate outlets. WiFi worked fine when we were there. The location is excellent. Tucked into an alleyway, it is close to the action of the city without the sound keeping you awake at night. Accommodation was easily 10/10, what really sets Vy’s guesthouse high above the rest is the amazing hospitality Vy and her family show. Upon arriving, you are greeted with a kind smile and delicious welcome drink (when we were there it was a limeade style of drink), we checked in very late and nevertheless were treated to such kindness and efficient explanations of food and attractions in the city (vy provides you her own custom created map). Each morning we were treated to authentic Vietnamese coffee, delicious! Vy was there to help us with whatever we needed, even exchanging $2 USD late at night when we had one last pho craving and didn’t have any dong left! We arranged the taxi through her, we were so glad we did so as we left our water bottle there and Vy realized this very quickly, and contacted our driver to stop and wait while she came on scooter to deliver our forgotten item :) Vy is also very helpful and easy to contact before your arrival; she sends a welcome email with great information and responds quickly to questions. be prepared to be treated like part of the family, you will be well taken care of! Thank you Vy & family!!

Budget stay for one night Liked Location: 10 minutes walk to bus station to use the bus to airport. Nearby has many food options. 15 minutes walk to Ben Thanh market and Saigon Centre. Staff: Very helpful and patient to guide on the locations of eateries and places to visit. Disliked Bed: Old spring bed with lots of rickety sounds when turning. Toilet: With lights on, it is still a bit dark. No hot water for shower. Exhaust fan is noisy. Aircon: A bit noisy even on lowest fan speed. Room insulation: Can hear the loud voices outside room.

I stayed here for a few nights in June. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. I am not sure how big the place is as they have a spill over building across the road where we ended up staying. The location is a little hard to find when you.first arrive, but it close to the backpacker district and also far enough back so as to not be too noisy at night. The room we stayed in was a good size with a tv and a.c. and private ensuite.

We loved our stay at Vy’s. The owners are all so welcoming and were very helpful, helped us book tours, showed us where local to eat, and made our time in Ho Chi Minh very enjoyable. I will be staying here again!

I don't think I can recommend this place enough. Vy is such a lovely and helpful human that will make sure your stay in Ho Chi Minh is special!! She created a map for us with all the interesting sightseeing, activities and food places (colour coded) but also recommendations like sim cards. Honestly our travel in Vietnam could not have started in a better way!

I spent a night at Vy Khanh Guesthouse as it was recommended by the travel agency, and I couldn't have chosen better - cleanest place in Vietnam, really comfortable, great price for value and the family that manages the place is really kind.
