This was my second cavern within 3 months. The drive to the cavern is terrible with extremely short and curved roads. Entry fee is cheap. There are 1,2 and 3 hour tours and you can choose accordingly. I went to a similar one in Austin, which was easier to find and go to - and it was the same and I did not feel any different in Blanchard cavern. Tour guides were amazing and informative. There is a lake and a trail nearby. A good day trip location! But wouldn’t recommend making a long drive just for this.

We had a great time going through the cave. Everyone that worked there was informative and friendly. A great place to spend some time out of the heat. We really appreciated how they are really doing all they can to preserve the caves temperature and protecting bats from white-nose syndrome. Definitely check out the cave.

I absolutely love this place. I have spent a lot of time practicing long exposure shots on the springs waterfall and the mirror lake falls. The cave tours are informative and super beautiful. Totally worth checking out. The surround area is gorgeous and not a bad hike either. The campground was very well taken care of. I would love to camp out here some day.

Highly recommend this tour... but definitely get tickets in advance! It sells our fast and for good reason. We have done the discovery and the drip stone. Both are amazing! Looking forward to wild cave tour opening next year. Our last tour was done by Zach. He was fun and informative..did a great job! The Dripstone is easy and handicap accessible.. perfect even if you have littles. It's very affordable and breathtaking to see. Also the Blanchard Springs and Mirror Lake is a must see while your there and it's free. One of our favorite places in Stone County.

This was one of the most interesting adventures I've ever gone on! Was a little hesitant because it's actually a REALLY far drive for me, BUT, I'd come back here again and again and AGAIN! Such an amazing experience. I reccomend definitely exploring BOTH tours they have available! There is so much to look at and learn about. GREAT spot for family's, date night and well behaved children. Not to mention the gift shop! So many cool things to purchase in the gift shop as well; from specialty jams to t-shirts, you're definitely going to want to spend a couple extra bucks here! The staff is super professional and informed, friendly and passionate. You absolutely HAVE to come bring your friends and check this place out every now and again. Such an amazing experience!!!

Such an amazing experience. If you’re considering going, DO IT. It’s a short walk with awe inspiring sights. The tour guides were very friendly and super knowledgeable. Make sure you make a reservation though! Spots fill up quick the day off. There is also some very beautiful sights to see outside the caverns such as the old cotton mill and the waterfall next to it. And of course, the spring itself is stunning.

We really enjoyed touring the cave, and our guide was a very informative older gentleman, but they said that it would only take one hour to tour it, and it took 2 hours. My Mom was waiting for us in the visitors center. We wouldn't have went and left her there, if we knew that she was going to have a 2 hour wait. I think that he needs to keep moving a little quicker, and not hang around at each rock formation, or the bleachers for so long, so that it would cut down on the time. But I would still tell people that it will take at least 1 1/2 hours or more.

This place is so cool! We made a 3.5 hour drive to check out the Cavern and it did not disappoint, however the recreation area was also amazing! Kids got to to swim around in a crystal clear creek, and explore beautiful bluffs in addition to the Cavern tour which was awesome. Definitely buy tickets a few days in advance as they sell out pretty quickly!

Great cave to visit! Reopened after being closed for 2 years. The Dripstone tour offers a .4 mile tour with a few sections of incline but is paved walkways all the way with handrails. Beautiful experience to see with some incredible sites in the surrounding areas that includes a spring fed waterfall you can get incredibly close to.

This was a hidden gem. My husband, myself, and our sons, ages 10 and 19 were staying on the White River. After much fishing, swimming, fun in the sun, and eating we were looking for a little adventure. We found it here. We took the 1 hour tour due to my breathing problems we were afraid to do the longer tour. This was perfect. Our tour guide was a very professional young blonde. She was awesome and knows that place inside and out. The cave system is absolutely breath-taking. Make sure to take your camera/phone and a light jacket and leave your snacks and drinks in the car. If you've never heard of this place it is because they are run by the Forest Service so they don't advertise. Check it out you won't be sorry!.

50 year anniversary this year! Get out and explorer Arkansas. Truly one of Arkansas best places to explore with the family and friends. With the many tours going on make sure you either get there early or buy tickets on line for the best tour times. Some if the best tours are on the weekends Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The surroundings at the park has many great things to enjoy. Campground and pleasant experience awaits anyone. There is great place for swimming right there for everyone to enjoy. Fishing is fun and very addictive too on Mirror lake. It is a great sweat hole for a hook. Over all it's a great experience waiting for all to enjoy. All the Park Rangers will help you any way they can so your time spent is a great one thats enjoyable.

Beautiful area!! We didn't do the underground tour as it was closed for the season but the waterfalls and rock cave was worth the drive! Bathrooms were clean and it wasn't busy at all.

One of the best family adventures I've been to. The forest service guide did an amazing job explaining all the cavern details and was fun and enjoyable to be around. I recommend that every person out there take this tour at least once in their lives. Absolutely stunning and amazing place to visit...mind blowing to see!

We had a great time here taking a tour of a cave 200 feet underground! The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful! The formations were remarkable and the ecosystem was mesmerizing, as we saw a few bats fly through. It was around $16 per ticket when we went on a Saturday. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the next available tour, which wasn’t too bad. We used this time to check out the nearby waterfall and trails. They also had a gift shop with a few rocks/ crystals, Blanchard Springs memorabilia such as shirts and mugs, a few snacks such as chips and twizzlers, stuffed animals, and more. I would highly recommend for them to consider opening a food truck (or a few) outside of the building for customers to enjoy while they wait. Since this is in the middle of nowhere, food options are few and far. They could make a lot of money and improve the quality of the visits with a food truck offering burgers or hot dogs, etc. Just an idea. Very lovely place with lots of beautiful natural scenic views worth checking out!

We took the drip stone tour and was not disappointed one bit. Had the best tour guide I’ve had on any tour. Buddy was amazing and made us feel as if natgeo was hosting the tour. My kids left super excited and they are still talking about it. Blanchard springs has everything your looking for. Camping, hiking, cliffs, caverns, gorgeous scenery, plenty of wildlife, and much more! You will not leave unsatisfied and will be planning your next trip back before you leave!

First, let me start by saying. If you're fat and the only shape you're in is round, this might not be the best thing for you. The "short" trip still has a multiple of ups and downs but at least it's not stairs. MAKE SURE YOU BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE! This is most important. We didn't realize you needed to get reservations. Luckily we ran into a nice couple at Cedar Falls and they let us know. I jumped online at 1 and the soonest tour available was at 440. So plan on advance and get those tickets. As for the views. The cave is BEAUTIFUL! They allow pictures so bring your camera but leave the flash off.

Wonderful find while on a day outing. Trails are easy to walk, beautiful sce, cool water. Tranquil and fun. Hiking, water, and history. Perfect day trip. The caverns tours were booked so I would advise booking in advance. We were directed to the springs as an alternative

This was a truly amazing experience! Our supervisor guide Paul was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and make the whole tour a great deal of fun. We learned lots of facts about the caves, the wildlife, and about the forestry service. These guys know their stuff so ask questions. This place is very family friendly and I definitely plan on returning in the spring! Thanks Paul!

Kristi and Becky did an awesome tour today at Blanchard Springs caverns. It has been years so today was a refreshing walk to remind me of how mighty God’s art work is and how nature creates such a beautiful timeless backdrop. I encourage everyone to experience this cave history tour sooner than later.

Beautiful place to visit! The caverns are beautiful and the swimming spots nearby are as well! Be prepared though, the water is COLD!!!🥶 Great for cooling down on a hot day though! Inside the cave is nice and cool as well. We were fine wearing shorts and a sweatshirt but you don't really need one (unless you're cold natured).

We went on the dripstone trail and learned a lot about the rock formations, how they were formed, and the history of the cave. Our tour guide, Moira, was the best and the tour was an hour long. Definitely recommend going here if you're looking for a learning adventure.

  • 5/5 Jim L. 6 months ago on Google
What an amazing adventure. The tour guides were terrific and dove deep into the details of the Caves discovery and what the process was to bring it to the public to enjoy. This place is a must see for all ages so stop in and enjoy nature at its finest !

A 1+ hour guided tour. The cave was beautiful and tour guide was the best. He was entertaining and took his time. We even got to see a few bats inside which weren't supposed to be there. They said we were very lucky to see them at this time. The walk was pretty easy with several inclines. The temperature was around 60 degrees which was so nice since it was hot outside in the middle of October.

Exciting place to go underground and explore some really great cave structures. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared many stories of the history of the cave. I recommend to have reservations for which tour you would like or there might be a bit of a wait. There was a snack cart in the parking lot the had inexpensive treats while we waited. My family had a blast!

This was a super cool cave! I’ve been to a LOT of caves through the US and this one was one of the most interesting. It is a living cave and wonderful examples of flow stones, stalactites, stalagmites, cave straws, curtains, cave popcorn, etc. Our whole family had a great time! The Dripstone Tour was age and ability friendly. The tour guides were knowledgeable, funny, and thorough. Would definitely go again!

Absolutely AMAZING! We went on the “Dripstone” tour a few months ago. We enjoyed that experience so much that we came back today to go on the “Discovery” tour. Each tour showcases beautiful features, but our guides really made the experience truly enjoyable. Buddy and Christy both shared their knowledge and insights to ensure we could have a full appreciation of the caverns. We felt as though we were special even though there were 16 other people on the tour as well. Buddy and Charity answered questions and took great care to ensure we saw the many interesting aspects including history of the humans and changes in animal habitat. We truly felt like we had a personal friend who was sharing their insights to provide an insider’s perspective even though they take many people through the caverns multiple times each day.

The photos don't come close to capturing the experience. It's truly magnificent. Informative tour around an hour, but felt like half that time. Family friendly. Pair this with a hike to the old mill or a swim in the rec area. Bring your water shoes. Amazing fossils everywhere. Must go!

This Cavern is the most beautiful we've been! The tour is so organized and the tour guides are amazing! These photos could not justify the beauty of this living cavern. A must see when you visit Blanchard Springs!

The cave itself is absolutely beautiful, only nature itself can take credit for that. The information given on the tour is fascinating, however the people giving the tours aren't very friendly. I won't say it was entirely unwarranted frustration the group we were placed with consisted of lots of tiny children, and a few very non well-mannered adults. The tour isn't long enough in my opinion not to really see and enjoy the caverns. The guides made it more about the history of the cave than the beauty of the cave. Maybe different types of tours should be offered for people who really want to see the beauty of the cave, an electronic audio guide like the ones they have at Carlsbad Cavern in NM might go over better for people who want to see the caverns vs hear about the caverns. I was forced to set in a pile of water and it wasn't a clean surface and my skirt was actually permanently stained from this, plus it was my birthday so that was kind of a bummer for the reminder of the day. I'm a travel blogger and have been to many caverns and caves and I just really don't feel like they have it together, maybe after being reopened for a while it will improve. Will definitely try again in the future.

Definitely worth checking out! Becky was a great guide! Over 200 feet underground, the cathedral room is massive and stunning, this is a "see in person" adventure, no photos will ever capture the beauty of these caverns. The massive size of the caverns is astonishing! USFS goes to great lengths to preserve the integrity of this space. We went in November and did the Dripstone Tour, at the end of the tour we road a bus back to the caverns welcome center.

The 58 degree caves are the perfect way to beat the heat. Tours are great and last about an hour. Get there early or get tickets the day before, because they will sell out!

  • 5/5 Kelly K. 10 months ago on Google
I would highly recommend either tour. An amazing discovery under the Ozarks, Blanchard caverns is one of a kind. The guides are very good at explaining the various features throughout.

We went on the first Dripstone Tour since reopening post Covid. All I can say is…………AMAZING!!!!!!!! I literally couldn’t believe my eyes! It was beautiful and our tour guide was great too! Definitely the best cave I’ve ever been in and it is HUGE! A true bucket list adventure! They have 3 different tours to choose from but they said the Dripstone Tour was the best visually.

  • 5/5 Angie C. 11 months ago on Google
Jasmine, Johnny, Tom and Alice are some incredible guides! Everyone was very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. This is the most beautiful cave I have ever seen. A hidden gem! Well worth it! Children are welcomed and included in tour activities.

  • 5/5 Bridget L. 11 months ago on Google
AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE!!! Expectations were minimal so this blew us out of the water- we did both tours (drip stone and discovery) in two days and loved every second of it! The guides were knowledgeable and helpful, paths were easy to follow and really the cave spoke for itself. I’ve never seen anything this beautiful underground- could have spent many more hours down there just looking! Kids loved all the facts and learning about the ecosystem! Please support this federally protected and forestry run gem!! They talked about wanting to open the wild cave tour next year which is more like guided spelunking and sounded AWESOME! Ask to be put on their list of interested participants! Last plug- the campground was very reasonably priced ($15) although no hookups and no reserving- but beautiful, peaceful and right on the river

Most beautiful cave in North America. Do not miss this one. Great leisurely hour walk. Awesome info from the tour guide. Concrete path through the Dripstone Trail. Beautiful Formations. Great hiking near by. Don't miss the Blanchard Springs. 7,000 gallons a minute flowing out. Very short hike on concrete path. Will definitely return again and again.

Caverns are back open. You need to schedule the tour online in advance. Price $15 per adult. Our guide was really helpful and acknowledged. Tour last almost an hour.

  • 5/5 Bethanyk 2 years ago on Google
This is a beautiful refreshing spot to visit. It is quiet and peaceful. One of our favorite places to spend the day. The trail to the spring is easy to walk. It's totally a family friendly place.

  • 5/5 92Ace 1 year ago on Google
Great experience with a great staff for the tours. They went over all the reasons that the rules were what they were and clearly described each place and the significance behind each one. The lower cavern was closed due to bat hibernation but is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day if you have a chance to go during those times.

  • 5/5 Stephanie M. 1 year ago on Google
Great family outing... There's only one cave open from labor day to memorial day . Great day trip for the family right now, all the fall foliage on the way there. Relax and enjoy so worth it.
