Incredible and definitely one of the natural wonders of the world. In the summer it can get hot but it's not too much walking compared to some national parks. The best option if you can afford it is to stay at the Belmond hotel in the park as you get access to the park even when it's closed. We had the sunrise and sunsets all to ourselves - amazing!

Words or photos can't describe the size, splendor or sound of these massive waterfalls. It's so wide no photo (from the ground) can capture the expanse of water plunging over these falls. I could just stand and admire. ( I found the Brazilian side better for overall views, walkways and visitor experience). Go, and you decide...

This spectacular! It was so exciting. I went to both Argentina and Brazilian side. It looked really different. You can see the water fall really close in Argentina then also see Panorama view on Brazil. I recommend you go to both as it depends on person which is preferred. I guess you need 2 days to see both at least. And be careful for flight time since there are always traffic jam as I heard. In particular, from Argentina did to Brazilian side you need to pass the custom. I actually prefer Brazilian one. It was really nice to pictures and I took slow motion movies as well which is awesome. Make sure to wear water proof jacket. You would get wet.

What an amazing place! You can visit the falls from both the Argentinian side as the Brazilian side. In my opinion the Argentinian side is the best. Taking a stroll through the whole park takes around 2-3 hours. The route is easy and very walkable. You could also take a train if you don’t want to walk. Its quite crowded here, make sure to go early in the morning if you want to avoid queues. The parking is free when I went. Definitely recommend to visit this place!

Absolutely outstanding! Must see! Both the Brazilian and Argentinian side are wonderful. All my wildlife photos are from the Argentinian side though. The Brazilian side offers a beautiful panorama - where the Argentinian offers more walks, views and the feeling of being inside Devil's Throat (incredible!). I would recommend both - but the Argentinian side was my favourite. Glad to have spent two days there 🥳

Easily this is one of the most impressive natural areas I've ever been to! You'll be blown away by the beauty of the falls, but also the wildlife, rainfoe, and rainbows you're sure to see. The Argentina side is better for spending a day. There are tons of trails, restaurants, and amenities. The trails take you into a great view just above the falls and on a lower walkway where you get a great view from the front. A public bus reaches the main entrance but you have to pay cash for the bus. You them walk to the falls, or the park train can take you slightly closer. Plan 4-5 hours there. The Brazilian side has a park hosted shuttle bus that takes you from the entrance to the falls. You'll be put almost directly in the biggest waterfall! Water WILL spray you walking near them. The falls will be so close to you that you'll feel like you can touch them! Plan only 3 hours or so on that side. Both sides offer snacks, souvenirs, and cheap water bottles. Restrooms are also available for free. You can't possibly have a bad time here!

Majestic! Must see if you’re in the area. Definitely take a raincoat because the mist will soak you. We went on a beautiful day. It started off chilly and raining and as soon as we arrived, it cleared to blue skies and multiple rainbows. It’s humid as well, so it feels warmer while you’re there. The walk is nice-it will take an hour give or take depending on how often you stop for photos. There are tons of plant species that are only found here as well. Take the time to notice them! God’s fingerprints are all over this place. A wonder for sure.

There's a reason it's a world wonder. All three reason you need. Recommend buying tickets in advance. Bring lots of water, bug spray, and sunscreen. There are multiple shops where you'll be able to buy these items. Parking can be challenging. Recommend taking shuttle.

Stunning, 2nd time here. You should spend more time on the Argentina 🇦🇷 side as there are more walking trails and things to see. Do both sides. Pay a personal tour guide, far more worth it.

By far the best place I visited in Argentina. No need to buy the ticket in advance regardless of the stuff you read online. You can buy on the day without a problem sonic the weather doesn't suit do it another day. Wear sensible footwear because it can be slippery. Devil's Throat closed off December 2023 ongoing but you see that part, just from a different angle, a different place. The little train runs only a short way but is still available and enjoyable.

Very beautiful waterfalls. No lines. We saw lots of lizards, tons of butterflies. Gorgeous area! The bird park is also a must see if you are here. We also did the boat tour, super fun! In the evening we went to the bar b que and show at Parfain. So fun. You can do all of these things in one day, without rushing.

Beautiful place to visit. Remember to bring lots of water to drink, especially in the summer. The falls are incredible and the staff was great. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to walk.

Five stars isn’t enough! One of those most magnificent places I’ve ever seen in my life. The sheer beauty and magnitude of this place is overwhelming! You’re definitely going to want to allocate at least 6-8 hours exploring every trail and waterfall here. Don’t take the train if you want a good workout! We skipped it and walked the devil throat trail and saw so many birds that we didn’t see on other paths. Make sure you get here as soon as the park opens to best the crowds. Can’t wait to bring my family here one day when I’m older. Also make sure to pack a lunch as the food court options didn’t look that good.

A truly beautiful and awe-inspiring part of the world. Take your time to stroll around the park to really take in the sights and admire the flora and fauna. You’ll be absolutely drenched if you do the speedboat ride - wear something that’s easy to dry!

We stayed at a hotel nearby that provided transportation to and from the park for R$10 each way. I would recommend buying in advance if you don't want to sit and wait an hour before your entrance time. We only visited the Brazil side. We did the helicopter ride then visited the waterfall in about 4 hours total. Take walking shoes, while the hike is really just a walk along the side of the waterfall, it gets wet and there are ups and downs. I would also highly recommend a pancho because you will get wet walking along the walk way especially if you venture across the waterfall. We saw many butterflies. It's also fun to watch the black vultures circling the sky waiting to feast on fish. It costs R$86 per adult to enter the park and that includes the bus that drives you to the entrance of the walking trail. There are 2 places to buy drinks along the walking trail. I would recommend the trail to exit instead of the elevator if you don't mind a little extra walking. It's not far and you avoid the line. Enjoy!

Visiting Iguazú Falls is an experience of a lifetime, where nature's majesty is on full display. The sheer power and beauty of these falls, straddling Argentina and Brazil, is absolutely breathtaking. The thunderous roar of cascading water, set against a backdrop of lush, verdant forests, creates a symphony for the senses. It's a place where rainbows play in the mist and exotic wildlife abounds, offering a truly unique and unforgettable adventure. Whether you're marveling at the falls from a boat or wandering along the scenic walkways, Iguazú is a testament to the awe-inspiring wonders of our natural world.

Iguazú Falls or Iguaçu Falls (Spanish: Cataratas del Iguazú [kataˈɾatas ðel iɣwaˈsu]; Guarani: Chororõ Yguasu [ɕoɾo'ɾõ ɨɣʷa'su]; Portuguese: Cataratas do Iguaçu [kataˈɾatɐs du iɡwaˈsu]) are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Together, they make up the largest waterfall in the world. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. The Iguazu River rises near the heart of the city of Curitiba. For most of its course, the river flows through Brazil; however, most of the falls are on the Argentine side. Below its confluence with the San Antonio River, the Iguazu River forms the border between Argentina and Brazil. The name "Iguazú" comes from the Guarani or Tupi words "y" [ɨ], meaning "water", and "ûasú "[waˈsu], meaning "big". Legend has it that a deity planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In a rage, the deity sliced the river, creating the waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall. The first European to record the existence of the falls was the Spanish Conquistador Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca in 1541. The Iguazu Falls are arranged in a way that resembles a reversed letter "J". The Argentina–Brazil border runs through the Devil's Throat. On the right bank is the Brazilian territory, which is home to more than 95% of the Iguazu River basin but has just over 20% of the jumps of these falls, and the left side jumps are Argentine, which makes up almost 80% of the falls. Two international airports are close to Iguazú Falls: the Argentine Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport (IGR) and the Brazilian Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU). Bus and taxi services are available from and to the Airport-Falls. Aerolíneas Argentinas have direct flights from Buenos Aires to Iguazu International Airport Krause. Azul, GOL, and LATAM Brasil offers services from main Brazilian cities to Foz do Iguaçu.

Pros: *Amazing view; *Geckos; *Coatis. Cons: *Lack of artificial shade; *Really hot during the summer with few places to cool off. Pro tip: *Bring extra clothes if you decide to get close to the waterfalls; *Bring something cold to drink; *Use a hat and/or sunscreen; *Do NOT feed the coatis.

A tremendously amazing experience. I had the honor of staying in the Belmond hotel on the service was exceptional. The hike down to the waterfalls was very short and due to us staying at the hotel we had the entire park to ourselves on Monday. Waterfalls are amazing and there’s a hike that brings you down to a bridge that goes right over the waterfalls and gives you a spectacular view. Long exposure shots there are wonderful.

(Translated by Google) If you are going to visit the falls, you definitely need to visit the Argentinian side. It is not a tour to take children who cannot walk at least 2 km. There are 3 tours, Devil's Throat, Upper and Lower Falls. I only went in the gorge and it took me about 2 hours round trip. The view is incredible! In short, the Argentine side has a lot more adrenaline, the Brazil side has more beauty, so both are worth it! (Original) Se vc for visitar as cataratas, com certeza vc precisa ir conhecer o lado argentino. Não é passeio pra levar crianças que não conseguem andar pelo menos 2km. Existem 3 passeios, garganta do diabo, cataratas superior e inferior. Fui apenas na garganta e me levou por volta de 2 horas ida e volta. A vista é incrível! Resumindo lado argentina tem mto mais adrenalina, lado Brasil mais beleza, portanto os dois valem a pena!

The falls and the national park is very impressive and beautiful. When we went (8.11) parts of the park were closed due to the floods. You can get there by bus from the bus station (the price is 2600 both ways). Easy and comfortable option. In the park itself it's super crowded, you can't really enjoy it due to the amount of people and the narrow pathes. If the lookouts and the pathes were bit bigger it would make a difference. The prices of the food there is outrageous! Better bring your own food. Overall we enjoyed the falls.

There are no words to describe the mágic of this place. Honestly, one of the best experiences I have had in my life. There are at the Moment two main paths one can take to see the waterfalls (one has been recently closed because it got damaged). The views from both are just amazing. We did the Brazilian side first. Very well oiled machine at the visitors center, to get tickets, to get bused to the viewing trail, and ultimately picked up at the end and returned. It is quite the drive to the park (from the border with Argentina) and then within the park from the Center to the start of the viewing trail. The walk was pretty reasonable for most, cement and hand rails. Weekends are more crowded than weekdays - typical. Be patient if there are crowds but realize you may have to push and nudge to get photos/views you want.

Incredible falls! They really put Niagara to shame. The best way to enter is to purchase a breakfast at the hotel inside the park on the Brasil side. You don’t need to spend $2000/night to stay there, just pay for the all you can eat breakfast, which includes a shuttle ride to the falls, the food, and park entry. Plus, you are allowed to then enter the park 2 hours before the public can! That makes it way easier to take pictures and have more time alone at the falls. It’s incredible!

(Translated by Google) When you go to the Falls, the first thing they ask you is that you take advantage of which side you like the most. I want to emphasize that they are very different and that it is necessary to know them both in order to fully appreciate them. They are imposing, majestic. Wonders of nature, if there will be. Highly recommended to get on the little boat and go see them up close. That's when you really understand its vastness. An amazing place. There is no photo that can do justice to seeing them live. Altamente recomendado subirte al botecito e ir a verlas de cerca. Ahí es cuando comprendes realmente su inmensidad. Un lugar increíble. This place is beautiful!!!! The falls are so expansive. The terrain plus the water makes it so unique. This place is a must see. Highly recommend doing to the boat ride where they take you up close to the falls. You will get completely soaked by the end of the boat ride. So either wear a long poncho or bring a change of clothes. You will get slightly wet by the end of the walkway on the Brazil side. But nothing like going on the boat.

The photos cannot fully communicate how beautiful the place is. The waterfalls are breathtaking and the way they create very visible rainbows is magical. Truly a unique place in the world. If you have any hesitations about visiting here, STOP. Just go. I can guarantee that you would not have any regrets whatsoever. And if you can, take a boat ride on the bottom. Seeing them up close is incredible, although BE PREPARED TO GET WET. It is an absolute must to bring another set of clothes if you go on a boat ride.

The Iguaçu falls are around 275 waterfalls in the Iguaçu River located in Brazil and Argentina. The Brazilian park was opened in 1939, being considered together with the Argentine park as a World Heritage Site. In the Brazilian National Park there are several attractions for all ages and tastes. Access to the park is via bus with panoramic views, where the visitor has the possibility to access the falls through a trail of approximately 1.5 km. Another possibility is access by motorized boat, known as Macuco, where the visitor travels a large part of the river and reaches the falls of the waterfalls. The park also offers a helicopter ride over the falls. Within the park there are several restaurants, gift shops, always clean bathrooms and attentive staff. Food prices are a little high. The helicopter ride and the Macuco ride are high, but it is worth making the effort to experience the experience. The price of admission to the park is fair, due to the issue of preservation, cleanliness and service to the public. Anyway, a place to be known by everyone !!!!

Photos don’t do the Falls justice. The height, power and volume of the waterfalls will leave you breathless. There is nothing to compare it to. It is perhaps the most beautiful natural wonder of the world that I have ever seen in person. Visit the Argentina side for a beautiful walk in a national park leading to the Falls, filled with birds and butterflies.

Absolutely breathtaking. There are no words to describe how amazing this place is. There are great views from both sides. We did the boat rides on both sides however we really enjoyed the wet boat ride on the Argentina side the most. They take you right under the waterfalls- fantastic when it's a hot day like we had. Rainbow's float above different parts of the waterfalls, it's so amazing to see. The power of these giant waterfalls will leave you in awe. The walks through the rainforest and seeing a different waterfall each time was so incredible.

Iguaçu Falls are a series of massive waterfalls that lie on the border of Argentina 80% and Brazil 20%. It is fed by the Iguaçu River, which flows into the Paraná River. 275 individual waterfalls side by side, some as tall as 269 feet (82 m), make up the falls, though most are around 210 feet (64 m). The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguaçu. It is one of the largest and most famous waterfalls in the world, receiving thousands of visitors each year.

The park Is beautiful. There are two mais hikes and some extra activities you can pay apart to do, like a boat tour. The entry has a fee + the internal bus. Kids only pay the bus and not the entrance (i believe below 6yo).

Even though the water wasn't flowing very high, 30% of normal, it was still an amazing experience! The restaurant at the tip of the falls was excellent and the hospitality of Brazil is the best.

  • 5/5 Petr V. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful views, one of a kind. Looots of people. Definitely come before 9 to be on the first bus. It's a question where to get off. If you want to be alone on the main platform closest to the falls then go all the way to the last stop and go down. But I think it's better to not overthink it and just exit on second stop and take the main route. Then there will be only little people everywhere to take other pictures along the way. When you get to the final platform there might be some people but it will not be excessive and the light should ve a bit better by then (early morning the east wall is very dark).

  • 5/5 Bidyut M. 1 year ago on Google
This place is mesmerizing. 275 different flows of water creating this unbelievably wide waterfall. The sound of the water and the force is something you can feel only in front of the falls. Argentina side has more part of it but Brazil side has devil's throat part of the waterfall.

Disfruten!

  • 4/5 Juan Arias B. 4 years ago on Google
Desde el Salto Bernabé Méndez del circuito superior, se tiene un panorama alucinante de los saltos circundantes como el espectacular salto San Martín, además del Mbiguá y el Escondido. Todo esto sazonado por fragantes arcoíris.

Stunning God is a designer. These waterfalls are breathtaking. You don’t need a formal tour guide in the park. The park has plenty of trains and infrastructure allowing all of the falls to be accessible to those with any physical disability. I will definitely visit once again ❤️ 🇦🇷 this is a gem of Argentina for that I am thankful

Magical place with a lot of nature and breathtaking views and moments. Nice nature walk and making the whole route is really worth it. Once you are there you should do the boat experience down the river and under the falls. Vale la pena, as Argentinians says. Recommend to buy tickets before you go there by their web, and also during your stay in Iguazu, if you are couple or group of few better rent a car and explore on that way, than go on excursions. Avis is a rental company in Iguazu with good cars and offer.

  • 5/5 Aleksei M. 4 months ago on Google
This is a nature wonder and is absolutely a must visit, but be prepared for many people around and wet environment. Worth going on a day trip if you have no walking limitations, otherwise, you may need two days. We walked all trails within 4-5 hours. The smaller trail worth visiting as you can actually go close to the bottom of the fall.

  • 5/5 Steve L. 4 months ago on Google
You can view the Igauzu Falls from the Argentina or Brazil side. Having seen both, Brazil side is better as you see most of the falls and you get close to the Devil's Throat (end of the Falls). The whole length of the Igazu Falls is about 2.7km long. Some parts are 2 tier falls. It is really a spectacle. You cannot imagine that so much water is flowing every second. During the floods a few years back, the water volume went up 40x! This is unimaginable. You need to have very good rain coat or you WILL get very wet. The walkways goes very near the water fall on the Brazil side so water spray is everywhere. You can also take an exciting boat ride close to the Falls...very exciting, everyone is screaming and pretty wet in the end. Plenty of wild life around too. In December, the water volume was quite high. It is a must do bucket list place.
