I went to a few high end restaurants while in Lisbon. I won't name names, but they were mediocre at best. O Galito was amazing though. It's tucked away in the corner of a tiny neighborhood, and the food is beyond amazing. Food aside, the service was better than you would even get in the US. They greeted us with food and drink while we were waiting and attended to our every need. If you eat anywhere in Lisbon, eat here! Also, it's not nearly as expensive as the high end places.

If you want to experience good food from Alentejo in Lisbon, this is the place to go. Everything was good. Even the experience of talking to authentic persons from the region. Amazing tasting food, bringing back the flavour of my childhood.

Traditional food but very standard. Nothing special. The place is not nice and the service is just okay. The price is very high considering all this

I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much on a lunch for what it was. 90 euros for two soups, chicken and a bean with cod fish-along with wine couvert, coffee and one dessert. The staff was okay. Older men working there and they kind of seemed deflated by life. The food was okay, but nothing I’d be going back to eat.

One of the best spots in Lisbon to eat typical dishes from Alentejo. Very well known in Lisbon and a little expensive but worth it.

Authentic, rustic, traditional, sometimes challenging and delicious. We had a selection of tapas size little sharing plates that included mini chicken pies, strips of grilled rabbit meat, sliced pigs ear, roasted pepper strips, olives, and roasted pork skin. A traditional dogfish and fresh herb soup. Then succulent roast pork with its soft skin and fat, and then a selection of eggy, almondy dessert pastries. All complimented by some beautiful Portuguese wines from Alentejo, Dao, Douro and elsewhere. This is authentic Portuguese fine dining. And the price was very reasonable

If you want to taste the flavours of Altentejo (Southern Portugal), definitely this is a must. Alentejo gastronomy is very rich because they had to develop many different ways of cooking delicious food with poor ingredients

One of the best and most authentic restaurant you can find in Lisbon. Its local dishes from the amazing Alentejan food culture are a perfect combination of taste and simplicity. The ingredients are mastered by the chef and you really experience a journey while tasting the main courses. I definitely suggest a stop over to this traditional restaurant.

The food was really good. You can tell that it is a very locally supported restaurant. They set the table up with quite a few choices of couvert (the starters, like bread and olives) which you can turn down. I had the pork ribs that were beautifully seasoned, and a migas also very tasty. My husband had the "rooster" which was also excellent. Now the reason for the 3 stars: There was only one server who spoke English, and it really felt as though he didn't really want to be bothered with English speakers.
