😠 Architecturally and infrastructurally, a total failure. This enormous bridge makes no sense for the sparse car traffic. No access for pedestrians and cyclists in a modern new bridge design (2017). People often mention bridge,

A gigantic and super modern cable-stayed bridge that was only completed a few years ago. The bridge that connects the Cadiz peninsula with Puerto de Santa Maria is currently the latest eye-catcher in the Andalusian port city and is nicknamed: “La Pepa” Especially at dusk, the view of the bridge and from the bridge is a natural spectacle.

On the way to the old part of Cádiz you should definitely drive over this bridge, which is well worth seeing due to its construction. Especially when the weather is nice, the white/silver "rope" construction contrasts with the blue sky.

Impressive cable-stayed bridge that leads from the mainland to the old town of Cadiz and the adjacent port. Greatly illuminated in the dark and an extraordinary experience driving over the bridge.

Mesmerizing bridge. Better to be passanger, because you can enjoy the view and construction. Cinematic look when the Sun gets up. Bridge is over 3 kilometers long, its two main pylons reach a height of 185 meters, and the main space between them is 540 meters. The road is located at an altitude of 69 meters above sea level.

This is one of the iconic bridges in the world in my opinion. I was surprised at the design and even more intrigued by the details when crossing it. I compare everything to my home town of NY which is also known for bridges and this one stacks up to some of the best. As an individual that has worked in civil engineering for over twenty years I can say that Cádiz got this modern take on a bridge right. My only wonder now is if they had the good sense to use the best building practices in reference to the beautiful environment that surrounds it? Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it was built in an environmentally sustainable way.

The Puente de la Constitución of 1812, also known as Puente de la Pepa, is an iconic drawbridge located in the city of Cádiz, in Andalusia, Spain. This bridge crosses the Bay of Cádiz and connects the city with the San Fernando peninsula. Built in commemoration of the Constitution of 1812, also known as the Constitution of Cádiz, this bridge is an important work of engineering and a symbol of the political history of Spain. Its modern design and imposing presence make it a popular tourist attraction in the region, as well as being an integral part of the urban landscape of Cádiz. 🌉🇪🇸

Pretty impressive driving up to and across. My OH was driving and said you couldn't really feel any movement while driving, but it's a great entrance to Cadiz.

Very interesting bridge but I didn't see pedestrian or bicycle access. A relatively new bridge built in 2017, quite a sight to see

When I go to Cádiz and I'm about to arrive, I pass by there and it's a super epic place and While there are meters left to get there, the song Mr Blue Sky plays in my head perfectly.
