Great town mark for New Orleans. This church building is the center of the main colonial city square in NOLA. It’s the reference of the city growth and beginning during colonial times and further expansion. You can enter freely (voluntary contributions are encouraged) and the inside provides great reference of the economic wealth back in the times. Surrounding this cathedral you can find several shops and active areas to center your expeditions to get to know the city better.

A very beautiful small basilica. I visited on a Monday around noon, and parking was close, simple and free. The interior is well preserved, and when you first enter, you should pick up a free brochure, which describes the various points of interest in detail. This is still a functioning church, so if you're only touring, be careful not to go during mass hours.

Attended mass here while in town for a month. We always felt welcome. Also, the building is simple, with just the right pieces and detail to help me focus on the mystery of Christ.

My mom and I were in town on a Sunday and chose to go here for Mass. It was a beautiful Mass that matched the beauty of the building, architecture, and artwork.

Absolutely take a moment to go to the Basilica of Saint Louis. This simple and yet ground structure is the oldest structure still standing west of the Mississippi, and speaks to a faithful people that understand priority. First and foremost Honor and thank God. The holy Community continues to be an active parish in St. Louis. Parking is available. Highly recommended.

We've photographed weddings at the Old Cathedral for over 13 years and love it. The rich history and beauty make it an easy choice for our couples and the staff are always easy to work with.

Stopped here for some Spiritual Reflection after visiting the Arch. Such a magnificent structure one has to give praise and thanks to the men who built it. I'm sure during the construction of this the men who built it stopped here and prayed for a safe days work.

A beautiful and historic Catholic Church in the United States. This was my first visit since the major renovations. I was happy to see that it was not reccovated and kept is traditional fixtures and design. There is dedicated parking for Mass but please be careful, St. Louis is not safe. St. Louis, King of France, Ora pro nobis.

A gorgeous basilica and little piece of history with the Catholic Church, America, and France. Glad to have visited just for the sight alone!

This is a well preserved historical church building. My husband and I stopped in here on our way to the gateway arch and the sanctuary is beautiful. This was a nice quiet place to pray and reflect in the middle of a busy city.

I immediately felt the spirit of the lord as my daughter and I walked in we dipped a finger in the holy water I blessed my daughter and we proceeded to the front to pray donate then light a candle as we stood in awe!! Centuries old church and the power we felt was truly overwhelming. I beat cancer in a single dad and without gods favor I would not be here so this experience was what I needed as currently my life is financially in ruin but faith gets me through. I left feeling empowered. Thank you father.

Such a holy place. I love the old cathedral! It is awesome to be in such a sacred place, also the oldest piece of property never to have changed hands in all of St. Louis.

Beautiful Cathedral with so much history for the Catholic Archdiocese and the City of St Louis. I learned so much from a recent tour. The Church has been restored to replicate the original building as much as possible. It’s beautiful

Incredibly preserved church. It is the only original building left on the St Louis waterfront and is still an active church.

The organ music was amazing and Father Sampson is so kind and knowledgeable! My absolute favorite in St. Louis. Thanks for being home away from home!

Spiritually uplifting. A calming interior design that allows for prayer and meditation. Brightly lite with the many windows especially on a sunny day.
