Third visit to this hotel. I find it to be in a nice quiet neighborhood within St Louis, close to WashU and Barnes Hospital. It's relatively quiet, and feels safe. Home2 has a free shuttle that I've utilized to many locations. The rooms are larger than the typical hotel room and come with a great little kitchenette. A free continental breakfast with a few warm and cold items are served, not bad. The manager needs to work on customer relations with his staff. Front desk staff are courteous but come across as snooty and lazy( every visit ). This last visit I needed an ice bucket and asked numerous staff three times, never received it. When I checked in I asked for two room keys and received one, was told they were out and would bring one to me...... Never happened. I booked a handicapped room for a specific reason and found ONLY one item handicap accessible (a raised toilet). By the time I was in and settled, to tired to move and seek other room. Accepted the discrepancy and stayed two nights. I understand the Mgr is quite new, maybe these are just a few of the reasons?! It's the little things that add up over time and make you consider other locations. Come on, your name has Hilton on the front sign and everywhere else.

This hotel has a cleanliness issue. I mean it is DIRTY. The lobby bathroom, no toilet paper, paper towels, or soap. We had to change rooms due to the room smelling of cigarette smoke, toilet was dirty, no room phone, fingernails on the floor, dirty bed, broken lamp, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen, dirty hallway. Changed rooms…. But this room…bed smelled like urine ( couldn’t sleep through night), bed uncomfortable even without the smell, bathtub dirty, kitchen sink had white substance all over it and the backsplash…. Do not stay here. Not worth the price. Front Desk was kind, but hotel has a layer a filth that has to be cleaned.

The entire staff we had contact with was super friendly and helpful every time. The breakfast staff was on top of it! Charlene in particular was fantastic! She was helpful, super funny, kind, and always making sure everyone was taken care of. She went above and beyond to help others, even the kid that thought sausage gravy was oatmeal. Everything was very clean and our room was nice. I’d definitely stay here again.

I stayed here on 7/6/22 to 7/7/22. I want to start by saying I’m a Hilton Diamond member so I love Hilton and pretty much always stay with them. Home2suites is one a my favorites but this one DON’T DO IT! We were on a road trip and stopped here because we were tired. I normally check reviews, but I didn’t because Hilton has never let me down until now. I’m washing my daughters cup at the sink and I see something crawling on the counter. It was a roach. I went and read the reviews and saw a few days before someone saw roaches. I was waiting for my boyfriend to get back and I went to the desk. It was already after 12 am and they offered to give me my money back or another room. I went to look at another room and it had coffee or hot chocolate all over the counter. I just stayed in our room with all the lights on. I’m pregnant and I have a 6 year old on the spectrum. It was too much work to pack up and leave. The lady at the desk was kind of rude that night. Plus the next day the housekeeper had the entire hallway blocked off and didn’t even offer to move so we could get our stuff through. She saw us and so did the man that was working with her. He had just come up there to ask if she was okay. Hilton you need to do better!!!

I walked in to the queen suite and it was filthy!! I asked for a new room and it wasn't much better!! Floors still needed vacuumed, I had to wipe everything down because housekeeping didn't! The drawers are broken and won't stay shut. Beds are so uncomfortable!! We definitely won't be back! For almost $200/night it's not worth it! Room 328!!!

It was close to the hospital and the complimentary breakfast was good every morning. If you are staying longer and you expect to get cheaper rates as the hospital suggests then you will NOT get it. We were here 13 nights and the rate stayed the same. No other discounts as other hotels do the longer you stay. They said you had to stay a month before you gets cheaper. Wished I asked when checking in.

Despite the half mil renovation, the atmosphere is relatively decent. If you don't mind being in the middle of downtown, close to a hospital and surrounded by potential burglary with a touch of ghetto life then this is the place for you! Not to mention the breakfast staff that persists on walking around loudly on their phone most morning while serving customers. The guests are rude most days, completely oblivious to the fact of SIX garbage cans near them and yet nobody can throw their trash away... be prepared to find dirty plates hiding in the craziest spots not to mention some of the plates have stains on them. If you wait for the breakfast rush to die down, you may encounter a sticky mess over by the waffle makers and juice because it's just so much fun to not carefully pour the waffle mix and make a giant mess that nobody (customers mainly) clean up because they expect maid service during their stay. By no means is this hotel quiet, most nights children are allowed to run amuck through the hallways, use the weight room and hang out in big groups in the lobby. So if you are on the lower level, you may not get sleep. Their security officer is a joke, either one can't be found or is asleep somewhere in the parking lot so make double sure you LOCK your vehicle!! Otherwise a potential breakin of your vehicle could happen, it is St. Louis after all. If none of this bothers you. It's a beautifully redone location that still requires some major work on the immediate inside.

I have some love/hate feelings about this hotel. It's an excellent location, the layout of the room was perfect for our family, and we really enjoyed their breakfast. All of that being said, I wouldn't stay here again. The biggest reason is that it wasn't very clean - there were chunks of cheese stuck in the vents of our a/c unit, several of the dishes in the kitchen had dried food stuck in them, and the pool towels had stains. There were also some comfort issues - the electric blinds wouldn't go down and the maintenance man wasn't available to fix them until the next day, the pillows were flat and hard and had a zipper on one end, there wasn't a single hook in the bathroom, the only way to get a spoon at breakfast was to take an entire package of plastic silverware, and the pool was frigidly cold. Needless to say, we'll be finding somewhere else to stay on future trips.

I would stay here again anytime I am in St. Louis. Convenient location to everything. Staff was fantastically friendly & helpful. Breakfast was much better than the average free hotel Breakfast. Premium suite was roomy and well equipped. Decor of hotel was modern and comfortable. I witnessed staff going out of their way to accommodate guests' needs. In a world where it is a challenge to get good service, it was incredibly refreshing! A+

All accommodations were excellent. Food and amenities were above excellent. Location to amusements and museums was excellent and the location was very easy to get around in the city. Fantastic venue for a family wanting to take in the St. Louis Zoo, as well as Cardinals baseball. The hotel is very close to restaurants on "The Hill" which is where several Italian restaurants are. On a scale of 8, I would score Home 2 Suites Forest Park in St. Louis, MO, a mighty fine NINE! Be prepared for a memorable traveling experience

Easy parking! I dread parking in big cities and this hotel has simple, free, parking! Room is huge. Download the app and walked in my room with my virtual key. 11 min drive to the arch, museums and good food. Only negative was the shower was a bit dirty. Everything else was fine.

1st time here! Masks not required when not in room. While checking in after the check in time, we was informed they had no rooms yet and that they are updating the hotel and that some of the rooms won’t be ready because of the painters (paint smell). While the employee took off with a painter another employee tried to help us and told us they just haven’t finished cleaning any of the queen bed rooms and that it’ll be at least an hour more. So, we drove around and came back and still they didn’t have any rooms at that time so we had to wait a couple of minutes for one to be done. We wasn’t told times for check out, breakfast, pool issues, etc.. while in our room our Wi-Fi wasn’t working either so had to call the front desk to informed it wasn’t working because we wasn’t officially checked in yet. The pool has to be scheduled in hour slots at the front desk (which again we wasn’t told about. I found out about while going down to see what time they closed and seen the sign on the door.) The bathroom was very small. Dishes were found in the dishwasher. Only one tv for the large room. The room above us was so loud, you could hear the kids running back and forth all night and morning. For breakfast, they only had two different kinds of cereal, plain oatmeal, toast, bagel, some sandwiches, and not much more than that.

Breakfast is nasty. The only thing I wanted was yogurt and they have been out of stock for days. I asked multiple times. Always said that maybe tomorrow. Management failure for not properly stocking the food. The rest is bad. Like really bad. Bread is stale, the premade sandwiches look like something you'd get at a shady gas station. No green tea. Camomile only. Rooms are tired. Especially the bathroom. Feels like it's falling apart. Common area looks decent but who hangs out in the common area Would never return here and will probably never stay at a home2. The breakfast is a disgrace. Shame on the Hilton brand. Staff also don't care. They just stand together chatting but not ensuring breakfast is adequate. Hilton diamond member.

I’m a huge fan of Home2, but my last two experiences have me so confused how they have tanked in cleanliness and experience. When we arrived to this specific location, the main host was super kind. When we got to our room, there weren’t enough towels. We called to the front desk but they never came. When we opened the sofa bed, the original sheets and blankets were on it, leaving behind popcorn and trash in and around the bed. Disgusting stains as well. The hotel eventually brought us new sheets and blankets but still no towels. We woke up the next morning, went to the front desk for towels to take showers, but there was no hot water. We waited for two hours between waking and eating, and nothing. After the last two experiences with Home2, we will be finding a different hotel. Not every Home2 is this way, but Nashville and St. Louis Forrest Park have been terrible.

Roaches! The hotel looked fairly clean and uncluttered. I got up at 2am to use the bathroom and get a drink of water, and watched the roaches scurry when I turned on the light. I wasn't able to get back to sleep afterwards. When I ran the water in the kitchenette, the drain smelled horrible. The breakfast bar was okay, but I could definitely see that cleanliness was an issue. The utensil baskets were full of old crumbs. The lobby restroom was very dirty, floor needed mopped, soap dispenser was rusty. Otherwise it was quiet, beds were comfortable, staff was polite, and my kids enjoyed the pool. They are also very pet friendly.

My husband and I came here to be near our children and new grandson who was at a nearby hospital. My husband went to check in and talked about the amazing check in experience. We were given a welcome bag and taken care of at every turn. Then, we were given our very nice and clean room and no tiny bottles in our bath but instead fully stocked bathroom and kitchen. Housekeeping was in the hall and the sweet housekeeper told us to let her know if we need anything at all. Shuttle service to hospital and restaurants was outstanding! On new years eve our driver was very helpful pointing out highlights and points of interest. Both drivers we had were super helpful. We did use our car as well but the shuttle was exceptionally easy to use! What a bonus. The breakfast buffet on New Years Eve was amazing. Not sure if it's always this amazing but the attendant was beyond helpful and meticulous about arrangement and attention to detail. Offerings were breakfast sandwiches, keto bowls, oatmeal, boiled eggs, omelets, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, juices, Starbucks coffee, a wealth of toppings (blueberries, strawberries, almonds, granola etc..), bagels, English muffins, toast. Perfect! Can I add a sixth star for service please!

Great experience! Chastity got us checked in and made us feel welcomed from the start. She gave us recommendations for things to do, dinner, and drinks!!! The room was nice and clean, seemed recently remodeled…. we will be staying here again because of the excellent customer service from our new friend chastity and the team!!!

Downtown location near Washington University.. hotel is absolutely wonderful, gated parking (very safe), comfortable beds, in room refrigerator, sink, all the necessities for a home away from home!!! Wonderful assortment of breakfast foods, courteous staff... 10+

A solid 4-star experience overall. The stay at Home2 Suites Chesterfield was comfortable, and the amenities were good. However, I did notice that the front desk attendants could have been more attentive and helpful, which slightly affected the overall experience. Despite that, the accommodations were pleasant and made for a decent stay.

Hotel wasn't the cleanest. Pillow was dirty, and several places that needed to be wiped down in the lobby. One of the cabinet doors in my room wouldn’t close, this should have been turned in to maintenance. The room wasn't that clean, hair on the table by the phone. I had to wipe down the room and spray. The Hilton honor bags were on the floor in the lobby and was not giving to me at check in, so I had to come back down to get it. (Should have been in my room already):)The lady was nice at the front desk though, the ac also worked great, however I would not stay here again.

Very disappointed with our stay!! Empty toilet paper holder in the drawer with blow dryer, shampoo & conditioner was empty, there was black hairs in the shower & drawers that wasn't ours!!! Unfortunately this was noticed in the morning or we would have left!! To top it off, the manager said he'd discount the price $20 & give 10k Hilton points which was never honored!!! Just disgusting, what an awful experience!! Will NEVER stay here again!!!

Loved the location. Really diverse neighborhood that was close to all the touristy things. Rooms were clean. Breakfast had plenty of options for a family of 5. No complaints here. I’d stay again

The location is easy to find and has great parking options. The staff was friendly and helpful as much as they could be. The breakfast was lack luster and consistently overwhelmed by the volume of guests. We did have a notable issue with our room as it potentially had black mold in it. The staff initially tried to say it was just dust but after you clean dust it doesn't usually stain the ceiling that it was on (next to an air vent). The front desk staff were understanding of our request to check out and swap hotels. I would heavily suggest that the property get checked out.

We got to the hotel very late due to a bad storm, after 11hrs drive we got to the hotel & found out our room was given away. Courtney in the front desk helped us get situated for the night by putting us in 2 rooms, then in AM Kevin the manager made up for the inconvenience by putting my family in 2 rooms very close to each other. We didn't get charged for the extra room throughout the duration of our stay which is 5 nights and 4 days. Thank you Kevin and Courtney for going above and beyond to make our stay good and comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciate you both. Also, I'd like to mention rooms of improvement the hotel might want to consider. The bath towels are stained and some looks old, the pillows goes flat after you lay on it, also has sweaty smell. The pillow cases looks old and yellowish as well. Hope these issues gets resolve in the future.

Location was great! Ten minute drive from most attractions. When booking the hotel it was mentioned we would have a tub and balcony. The hotel does not have a balcony for any room. The walls are thin so you can hear the guest next to you and above you. Our room had no tub, garbage and coffee left from previous guest. Not as clean as I would have liked. The pool was small but nice. No available towels both times we were down there. Staff was nice but the cleanliness and maintenance could use improvement.

We stayed here Nov 17-18. Great service at the counter. Our room was somewhat clean. The bathroom was not the cleanest. Outside our room which was right off the elevator it smelled like marijuana the entire weekend. Breakfast was very lack luster and the trash was always over flowing. Wouldn't stay here again.

  • 2/5 Matthew 2 years ago on Google
Noisy, economy rooms that are priced just as expensive as other nicer hotels in the area. Once every five day housekeeping services provide a cost savings to the hotel but are not transferred to the guest. A poor building layout means late arriving guests will probably end up parking on the south end of the lot and having to walk all the way to the north end to use the elevator to get to their room.

Honestly, I'm written this review because I've met the most wonderful person who works here. Cournae is a super helpful, responsive and caring person that my stay (for work, away fromy family) so lovely. I had some questions and needed help with some things and she was very helpful and gracious about it! It literally felt like staying at the friends house (in a good way) because of her. Whenever I come back to town I'm definitely staying here and hoping to see her again! Overall a very nice hotel especially if you're looking for a longer term stay. My room had dishes and a dishwasher in it.

The hotel needs to manage its breakfast items better. They run out of basics such as yogurt and tea. Also, after we had been there 5 days, we requested room service but it didn’t happen.

  • 3/5 Jana B. 2 years ago on Google
They really could do better at cleaning the rooms. I had them clean my room and my bathroom was not touched. They took my used linens out but not give me more towels, didn't refill my body soap, clean my sink, refill my toilet paper. I don't really care they are short staffed, not my problem for what you pay for a room that is what needs to be done or don't charge so much.

I stayed at place his place my first month as a travel nurse and decided to move out due to several issues. On my first night there I was told that housekeeping will be able to come once a week as requested. I requested house keeping my second week there and there was no one available to come. By the third week someone came and made my bed with the same sheets that had been on the bed for the last three weeks. I told desk staff and ask for fresh sheets that I had to change my self. One week later someone came into my room unannounced and removed all of my things off of my bed and scattered things in my bathroom. AGAIN, remade my bed with the same blanket and sheets. When I reached out to front desk staff, they stated that “house keeping comes every 5 days” Which is not true because no one had cleaned my room the entire first three weeks I was there. And that was complete contradictory to what I was told when first moving in. Management team was never on duty nor did anyone reach out to me regarding my issues after several complaints. I would also shuttle to and from the hospital and had to Uber several times as there was “no one to drive the shuttle or they could not locate the driver.” For the price of this place these things are completely unacceptable and in violation of health codes in regards to them not changing bed sheets and blankets. In regard to the price, it was discounted but still costed over 3k a month. They would also randomly take an additional 700-800 dollars every 10 days and return to my account several days later. The front desk said it was a service hold which guests should be informed about priorly and I was not. I ended up moving out two months early because of the lack of cleanliness, compassion and professionalism at this place. I would not recommend for long term stays.

This hotel is excellent! And very dog friendly with amazing staff! I’ve stayed here before and so happy I chose to come back. I have added this stop as a staple for traveling between east-west coasts. I was fortunately given a room on the first floor which had easy access to the side door and it was so convenient for taking my dog out. The area is also perfect with a dog park down the street. I also really appreciated the help I received every time I went to the front desk. Everyone was lovely. I’m looking forward to coming back!

The hotel itself was OK. Because we brought our dog, they did not come in and clean our room. People left out entire bags of garbage and linens in the hallway, which made it look very messy. The included breakfast was very good. The 2 ladies who worked the breakfast in the morning were fabulous! They were friendly and they were worker bees. I will say all of the staff was lovely. No complaints with the staff. The hotel was in an area that was accessible to a lot of things, but you definitely needed a car if you wanted to go to the aquarium or the arch.

This hotel is great. Loved that it is so close to the museums and zoo. Close driving distance to many restaurants and shops. We had an issue with our TV and they were very quick to fix it. They also offer a shuttle to local places as well. Breakfast was pretty good, but the setup could be better.

We was in St. Louis for our son’s sarcoma tumor removal. We was there 3 nights/4days. The staff was very accommodating to get us booked for an extra night( because the plan was to leave Friday but our son was not discharged til Saturday). Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and coffee. While we was there 12/10/21 there was tornado sirens going on. My only recommendation is for staff to have better knowledge where to go and what to do in the case of a tornado. Thank you for a great stay! Oh I forgot to mention they have a shuttle to take you to and from Barns Jewish hospital. You don’t have to fight traffic or worry about parking.

Excellent stay with our two little girls. Only strange thing to remember is that they don't stock conditioner or lotion in the bathrooms--there's shampoo, body wash, and bar soap. Not a deal breaker, but it surprised me. Great location to the Zoo and to the huge park, and at least a few great little eateries within a few blocks. We were really impressed by the super friendly staff in all areas: front desk, at breakfast, housekeeping, and even the gentleman who brought up extra pillows and a pack-n-play to our room. Room was clean, and the suite had everything you need (half-size fridge with separate freezer, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, even a disposal, etc.). And there's a curtain to separate the bed space from the kitchen/couch/lounging space that was surprisingly convenient when sharing a room with kids. Pool is small, but seemed clean and is a good size for kiddos to enjoy. Note that you have to sign up at the front desk for a time to swim (I think it's a Covid adjustment). Hot breakfast had some good options, and there were two people that do all the cooking (making the waffles, toasting bagels, warming the egg bowls, serving oatmeal, etc.). I think this is a COVID restriction, but it made breakfast so much smoother than waiting for everyone to learn how to use a waffle iron, and the ladies doing breakfast knew how to handle the crowd and get everyone their food quickly. Major kudos to them!

Comfortable hotel for a short stay. The room is big that comes with a microwave, dishwasher and reasonable sized refrigerator. In terms of hotel facilities, the laundromat is just next to the gym. There is also a small sized pool. Breakfast is included but make sure to go a convenient time to avoid the crowd. It has wafer making machine, cereals, bakery, yogurts, hot coffee, cold juices, apples and oranges. Sitting at the dining room is spaced out appropriately except the long table next to the breakfast counter which makes the lines at breakfast a bit congested during the morning crowd. Ample parking space for private vehicles.

We got the King suite I will say it was very spacious with lots of cabinet and drawer space. The refrigerator was a garage size so that is cool usually they are too small to keep leftovers in. Comes with dishes toaster and microwave too which is nice. The guy at the front desk, David, wasn't exactly rude but very impersonal. Ran through the details so quick I could barely understand him. I asked for a 2nd room key and he seemed annoyed. The rooms weren't that clean, streaks and spots on mirrors toilets vanities etc. The bedding didn't smell very good. The building could be updated. They did have more options than your normal continental breakfast but it's not a very big area so it's very crowded and difficult to make plates especially having a 6 year old with us. We were on the first floor I heard running and jumping until around 1am when i finally fell asleep then the fire alarm went off at 4am!! EXTREMELY scary and loud. We never got an explanation from the staff of what happened that night. One guest asked if we needed to evacuate and she relayed to the others they said no. We seen and heard the fire trucks come and go so figured everything was okay but still an explanation would've been comforting. The next day I asked the staff what happened they said it was because of dust. Probably will not stay here again

The water pressure was the best part of this hotel. We felt safe and the employees were nice. The thing is it’s super dirty. It needs a good scrub down, a new coat of paint, and some fresh carpet.

We stayed here 5 years ago and the hotel definitely needs a refreshing, which is scheduled. Staff is super nice, but the room was not clean. We wiped down the whole room, the kitchen items and drawers were not clean. We washed everything before using, including the silverware holder. We may come back after hotel has been upgraded.

We are a Hilton diamond member. Home 2 suites are our favorites among Hilton hotels and this particular one has all the good things we like; yummy free breakfast, spacious room with full kitchen, etc. Jacinta at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay special. Jay, a hotel shuttle driver is really amazing. Would come here again for sure.

Find another hotel. I travel for work. I live in Hilton brand hotels every week for years. This by far has been the worst experience. I never leave reviews nor do I complain unless it’s severe. Poor poor customer service. No cleaning no replenishing towels. Trash bags and dirty towels are all down the hallway every day. Too much to say about this hotel.

Very dissatisfied with the maintenance of this Hilton property. As a Hilton Honors member, I expected more on the levels of cleanliness and comfort. On two occasions, I asked for my room to be cleaned (speaking directly with the housekeeper working on my floor), only to return to my room uncleaned. Then on the day I had my DND on the door, housekeeping knocked at 9am to clean my room. In addition, the public spaces frequently had trash, mess. And the pillows were cheap and then. Definitely disappointed in the facility.

So disappointed in this place. Had good review here, but yuck! Front desk help was lacking, floors were sticky, breakfast was terrible, hairs all over bathroom and BED! Sheets felt like plastic. Our stay was really bad and I am just grateful we checked in late and checked out early.

This review is specifically for Kevin, I believe he is a manager at this location. I stay here frequently since I work nearby for a few days at a time and he has been helpful with any hiccups. I was having trouble with my Hilton app and he was able to resolve the issue for me, more than once. He is always super friendly and helpful. The rooms are good, they are clean, and sound proof. The gym is also a plus- I enjoy the weights and cable machine. The gym also is a decent temperature for working out, I’ve stayed at some hotels that keep it warm in the gyms and that just isn’t pleasant. I would recommend this location to others.
