Unfortunately, I can’t give 0 stars... The staff was very rude! I am visiting family in STL and I attempted to work from this cafe for the day... complete failure! Instead, I felt very uncomfortable from the moment I entered. I was stared down by the workers. Though awkward, I decided to try this place, plus I needed to get work done. I walked to the counter to place my order and was met with a very nasty attitude from the tall blonde guy. He had asked me for my vaccination card. I was baffled by the poor attitude he was giving... also, 1. no one else was asked, I was the ONLY one asked... 2. The cashier assumed I didn’t have a card nor a negative test so he cancelled my order then rudely said, “bye”. The attitudes were completely unnecessary and piss poor. Needless to say, I decided to leave and not spend my money with them. You all need better customer service, and maybe a training on biases. Especially seeing as you are working in a neighborhood with very mixed class of people.

Cool spot for a coffee or bite to eat. They have a nice selection of specialty roasts and the house made orange cardamom flavor was on point. They have a nice selection of sweet treats too. There are plenty of desks if you need space to work. The staff was very nice and even brought me my drink after I went to sit down.

High Low was recommended by our Airbnb host as it was within walking distance of our place and had quality coffee! Can confirm, we had kind service and lovely espresso. I had chose the cortado with oat milk and house-made vanilla syrup ✨ Seating was at a premium on a Wednesday at 11am, many remote workers/students, but also pairs of people chatting, but a few spots opened up while we sat. I tried to check ahead of time if food was served, and assumed it would just be a small pastry case,so we were pleasantly surprised to see a small food menu + pastries. Recommend!

TLDR: Delish coffee brewed well, don’t plan to sit in the front window on a sunny winter day. Of course, they coffee is amazing. It was a very well brewed cup. I had the choice of batch brewed or pour over, I chose the Ethiopian fresh pour over option and it was great. It came in a glass beaker and small cup so I could pour what I wanted and keep the rest hot, which it did very well. My wife got a cappuccino and it was truly delicious. The only problem was that we sat in the front window and on this cold sunny day, it got downright hot sitting there. The other tables were full, but even they were getting a lot of sun this time of year. If I had planned my seating better, it would have been an amazing place to hang for a while. Of course, the LaMarzocco machine is agorgeous blue.

If you want coffee AND an experience, come to High Low. It has one of the calmest, serene decors of all coffee houses in STL. Its theme centers around literature, full of bookshelves and comfy couches to read. It’s not overly loud of a setting, so if you want to do work without headphone, this is the place. Because of its design, I believe it attracts an artsier crowd who wants to read or discuss. I regularly have business meetings here unrelated to art and literature because I know I’m not surrounded by pretentious finance bros or fraternity brothers. The coffee is pretty standard, but I can’t say much on it because my order is always bland: Hot, black coffee. Highly recommend making this a coffee staple of yours, you’ll always leave feeling better than when you walked in.

For the love of Pete, get sugar-free syrups! Get a single sugar-free syrup. Why can coffeeshops have sixteen kinds of milk and not provide for the many folks seeking lower sugar intake, for medical or other reasons? And that giant empty listening room you have? Could provide extra seating, since there's not enough inside or out. Okay, gripes are out. Very good biscuit. My dining companion enjoyed his food, as well. Outside chairs are reasonably comfortable for fat people (thank you). The gallery was neat, if strange and out of context. Prices were...okay? Except it's silly for me to go to a coffeeshop for a plain steeped tea because they don't carry sugar-free syrups.

Really great coffee and presentation! Seating is really great for studying, unlike many coffeeshops that force people to work at tiny tables. Beware: large amounts of sunlight come through the large windows and can make it difficult to work in certain areas.

Stopped in for a couple of dirty chai lattes. L, the batista was very nice and the drinks were perfect.

Very cool space to work a d drink coffee! It’s an extension of the Kranzberg Art Foundation making it a great place to support. The coffee is great and there is plenty of room to get work done if you like working in coffee shops. Check this place out asap for your next cup of Joe!

Coffee was absolutely disgusting. Very acidic, tastes like vinegar. Aesthetic was calm & peaceful though.

Great experience! Went in for some beans and was helped by a very friendly and knowledgeable barista. Also had a lemon scone which was marvelous.

Friendly and highly knowledgeable staff, offering in-depth tasting notes and explanations of the different beans/roasts. welcoming, laid back ambience with a plethora of seating options. The highlight for us were the pastries though, as Lindsey is a phenomenally talented baker who is quite modest to boot! The blueberry lavender and rosemary goat cheese scones are easily among the best we've ever tried. The flavors are rich, natural tasting, yet also proportioned in harmonious balance. A must stop anytime we're in STL from now on.

We really love High Low. It’s an excellent place to get some work done, while enjoying a fresh pour over and a scone. The atmosphere is bright and relaxed, which makes it perfect to read or work if you’re needing to get out of the house. Parking is usually great, and I often can get a spot right by the entrance. The art gallery in the back is a really unique part of High Low’s experience. It’s part of to Kransberg Arts Foundation and it’s a free exhibit hall with rotating work from local artists. It makes for a really cool place to visit or to make part of your weekly routine.

I personally wanted to love this place and was disappointed with our trip. The man behind the counter taking our order made me feel like a nuisance being there and not knowing immediately what we wanted. Ultimately, that is the main reason for the three stars. I immediately didn’t feel very comfortable and didn’t want to stay long. Our barista however was incredibly friendly, which was nice. The iced coffee was decent, I could’ve had it a bit sweeter with a tad bit more flavor. The carrot cake was very good with great spice flavor. Overall, will possibly give another try in the future to see if it was a one off. The building is aesthetically pleasing, bright, and modern feeling.

I guess I can consider myself as a High Low regular now, given my visits almost every weekend. It's perched perfectly at the intersection, and has beautiful sunlight streaming in, with just the right variety of beverage options, enough to have you try new things each week, but not too many to overwhelm someone. Their freshly baked breads are also equally good complements to their brews.

Wow! Amazing! I stumbled upon this cool and cozy spot while waiting for a show at the Fab Fox. The walls are lined with books to read. The music is light and contemporary. The vibe is so chill. A++ Great pumpkin bread and coffee too! Xoxo 😘

Super cool building and good coffee. The menu is a bit confusing (wish they described the brewing process of each option). Their banana bread and citrus corn bread was actually very good. The service was on the slower side.

I absolutely love blueprint coffee and this setting makes it even better! The employees at the high low blueprint are the coolest ever! I work in the building so I see them all the time and they’re always so friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable. I’ve been to many blueprints and I think this is the best one, the vibes are great and the coffee is immaculate!!!

I practically live here during my breaks. The staff are the friendliest I've encountered in STL, the quality of my coffee has never missed, and the ambiance is sunny & comfortable.

Bitter, flavorless overpriced coffee in a hipster spot. Might as well have used the Kuerig machine in my hotel room.

Some of the best coffee you’ll find in the city, and the most amazing atmosphere to work from - most ppl come here to read, write, work, or study so there’s a cool library vibe. The staff are always so nice and remember my order. Can get busy during college session.

Excellent products, venue, service and atmosphere. This is a gem that I am so happy has come to the Grand Center/Wash ave loft district. They have managed to create a wonderful jazz/art gallery/cafe experience with a fantastic vibe. Breath of fresh air, love it, will be back often!

Ugh the rudest, meanest, most toxic staff I have ever encountered at a coffee shop. Verbally abusive and insulting my body in front of a several customers

Delicious coffee, mellow vibe, space for working and very bright. Love this place so much. 1 thing though... very limited outlets so I would recommend they add surge protectors with extra outlets
