    I went here for the first time and felt like I’d been going my whole life. The staff is so friendly and personable. I got an excellent deal on contacts. Great experience.

    Rude and unprofessional Standing at the counter to make an appointment and was un acknowledged completely for 20 minutes. Just ridiculous and very disappointing

    The staff called me several times regarding insurance coverage. 1st I told vision is not covered then I was called back 2 days later to ask about insurance coverage again. So Indeceided to assist the team and call for my own vision benefits. Once active coverage was confirmed I was then told that the appointment scheduled for next day had to be cancelled. Clarkson Eyecare can only see 4 medicaid patients a day. This appointment was made early July. Never again call Crown Optical

    We are on vacation and my Son had issues with his eyes. We found out we were right around the corner from Clarkson and went when they opened at 8. They were able to fit us in and get us on our way! Everyone was super nice, especially Maggie at the front desk. Dr. Cullinan was great with my Son as well. Great place and great people!

    Great Service. Doctor Cullinane is very professional and does a wonderful job. Been seeing her for about 10 years and very happy with the results. I would highly recommend the South Grand Clarkson office to anyone who needs vision help.

    Great selection. Super friendly staff. Maggie was my favorite part. She was super chill, funny, and friendly. I am terrible at making decision and was stuck between a couple pairs. Maggie came up and said which ones she preferred for my face shape/size. She did her job to push all the extras, and even though I declined a lot she was so awesome the whole time. The process was super quick and she got me a good deal! Please give her a raise, she made the experience great and is the reason I will be returning to this location!

    The new lady workers there are always welcoming and willing to talk to us as if we knew them. Dont make you feel rushed to pick your glasses. Always smiling

    After purchasing 2 pairs of glasses and paying for them I was very surprised when 2 months later I received a statement that I had an outstanding balance that was was 25 percent more than the initial invoices paid. 5 months later after many phone calls I am still attempting to get a clear explanation for the additional charge.

    Process was quick, was seen by an awesome doctor, she was professional and respectful to me. I was very pleased with the representative, Katherine, she was friendly, good personality and patient. Katherine did pick out a few different frames for me and I did chose one cute pair, she picked out & thought I would like and I'm very happy that I had a great experience with Clarkson eye care. I will continue my business with them in the future.

    The staff was great, the eye exam was thorough and the doctor was fully engaged. The prices of their glasses are much more expensive than most, but that's not what I came for.

    I called the day before to schedule an appointment and when I asked if they needed any documents, they said no but when I got there, they asked me if I had a legal guardian with me and I said yes, my sister, but the lady who was signing me in just sat there on her computer and didn’t ask me any questions. She didn’t ask if my sister had a passport or anything with her to verify that she’s an adult and such. Then when she was done signing me, and she said you have eight minutes till you’re late, even though I was there on time. My sister did not have a passport and we asked if we could pick up my mom because we only live like five minutes away. And the lady said no that is not possible so I didn’t get my eyes checked and I can’t get my glasses for school. I really hope people get better service. This lady that was signing me in looked like she did not want to be there and she had a bit of an attitude when I was there.

    Clarkson is a big chain, so all of the discounts and services, but the doctor and staff give the same service and care as an independent local. I definitely recommend!!!

    While the doctors have changed a couple times since I’ve started going there, each one has been very knowledgeable and friendly. Big Shout out to Jessica at the front of the house for all her patience and positivity she brought to the whole experience!

    My exam with Dr. Stephanie Cullinan was quick, easy, and efficient! She was friendly, asked good questions. Rachel helped me pick out a new frame shape and color that I would not have chosen myself, and she was very thorough in explaining what my insurance was covering and discussing what options were truly just “options.” Front desk staff member (unfortunately did not grab their name, but know they started last December 2021) was friendly and engaged all folks in the store.

    Hi I visited the Clarkson Eyecare in downtown St. Louis (917 OLIVE ST, ST. LOUIS, MO 63101) on the 15th of June 2023 for my eye test and prescription sunglasses. They took 15 days to make the sun glasses, and called me to receive it twice in between, but when I went there they said that it was not ready and they called me because of some error. Finally they called me on 29 June. To my surprise when I went there I found the sunglasses were ready but they were so loose that they didn't fit my face. They gave me reasons which were beyond my understanding, as if it was my fault and I should take the sunglasses and go. This was a very horrible experience for me because I had planned to use them on my trip over the 4th July weekend. I want to sue Eyemed as well as Clarkson Eyecare for wasting my time and energy. To my surprise the manger over there did nothing to help me out. I went ahead and returned the sunglasses and cancelled my order. In short it was a horrible experience and I felt traumatized psychologically. I would not suggest anyone to go there.

    At Clarkson Eyecare the doctors really do take care of my eyes. They have all of the equipment necessary to keep them in top shape. When I leave, I feel confident that my eyes have received the best care. I recommend it.

    I have given my trust of my eyes to this location for years. I like the optometrist and feel confident of her guidance. They have had turnover of staff over this time, I miss some of the staff, but this office has done a good job of keeping a good team together. I never had an issue with insurance or upselling. They take of small things like minor glasses repair.

    It was my 1st time there and the office staff were very nice, inviting, and professional. The office was clean and welcoming. The staff made sure I was taken care of and satisfied. The eye Dr herself is the bomb.com if I do say so myself. She asked a lot of questions about my eyes and how my glasses effect me. She was very thorough and knowledgeable.     The worst customer service of any business I’ve ever experienced. Twice I bought glasses and paid in full at the time of appointment. 6 months later they completely bungled my insurance and sent me a bill which was the wrong doctor for the wrong location. Took 3 months to deal with insurance and this problem. Went back a year later and then they sent me a bill again 6 months later after I paid in full. Called and inquired about the problem. Never got back to me and then sent a 24 dollar bill to collections after never contacting me. All in all this is a shady company who will Bill you 6 months later a service they didn’t provide.

    Great staff!! Efficient service. The Support staff were great with initial testing and intake as was the Lead Optometrist(Dr Stephanie?) today. She was professional and engaging in a very comfortable manner. Also,she showed me my eye health visually on her computer screen which was a first for me. I,definitely,recommend this office!

    Came in here yesterday to pick up my glasses, the front desk lady quickly cuts me off and says “I’ll be with you in a moment” with an attitude. Unfortunately I don’t know her name but she had blonde hair with black glasses I believe. Do better!

    Front desk / customer service was just rude and impatient . Worst customer service I’ve experienced . Waited 4 weeks to tell us that our glasses were back ordered just kept saying “no they’re not in yet, no update” eventually got told to come in and pick out another pair , ended up just getting refund . Also didn’t charge me for the office visit while i was there only the glasses? Had to end up going back up and paying again. Blonde hair girl at front desk spoke to us like we were stupid when asking why she ran my card instead of issuing refund . Which resulted in us not having the $ to pay our bills because instead of issuing a refund to the card she double charged us. This location is just a mess and has awful customer service .

    I first went to Clarkson in 2021. I was on time for my appointment but I had to wait to be seen because the doctor had to go home for a few minutes. It wasn’t a problem for me so I waited. Now to today 3/25/22 when I arrived I was late I will admit that. When I walked in the place was empty no waiting customers or any customers getting service. One lady asked my name and I told her and she asked for ID and insurance info when I was about to give them to her another lady says what name did you say. I tell her and she then says you are late so you have to reschedule. No problem ma’am I’ll do just that. It just will not be with Clarkson Eye Care. It was ok for me to wait while the doctor ran home but now since I’m late you cancel my appointment. Not to mention I’m a night shift nurse and struggled to stay awake to make the appointment. Oh well I can go home and to sleep.
