Nice steak. Cooked perfectly. The only downside for me is that they don't offer mashed potatoes and veggies. Only fries and soft leaves veggies only. Staff are attentive and friendly.

WOW - We are a 15 year long customer to the BakeHouse restaurant and would make at least 15 bookings per year, but found some major changes tonight since last visit in 2023. Steaks appear to be undersized, pork cutlet is not available, chips are of lower quality, side dishes ordered did not turn up until we’ve almost finished our steaks and steak accompanying source sizes have been reduced considerably, overall the plating art has disappeared from what it was like in 2023. I believe restaurant of this reputation should at least plate the food on the plate to match, not just throw the food on the plate to be served like if it was a two star eatery. Come on Bake House please do something to ensure my return as a loyal customer…. Happy to take a call if you need to talk, otherwise carry on till reservations are diminished to encourage lower quality output which would be detrimental to the venue.

Quality food and good vibe. Steak was done beautifully medium as requested with a desired hint of burn taste. The salad is very tasty too. Friendly staff too. Got to drive so skipped alcohol though

We did lunch here and for the price I was definitely disappointed. Plus side the drinks were great 👍 and our waitress was also. Would I go back? Only for the drinks and I hope there's a better chef on the weekends.

I have a little hesitant when I first arrived as it was in a-bit of an isolated area of Ipswich (not Main Street vibes) however I was soon reassured with Great food, great atmosphere and good service. Went for a mid week dinner to catch up with family and all my expectations were met, definitely the place to go. Interior was beautiful, very clean and well designed. Recommend for date night, family night or for little ones. Free street parking near by.

SHOCKING Service! We were seated quickly which was great and the atmosphere was lovely so we had really high hopes for our dining experience. Unfortunately, this is not how the evening played out! We then had to wait 15 minutes for a drinks menu and even water for the table. Then waited probably 20+ minutes for the drinks and then finally were able to order dinner. It took well over AN HOUR for the food to arrive and several tables around us that ordered after or were seated after us, all got their food before we did. Our last side was “just coming” and even that was another 5 minutes. We are happy to be patient, but at no time did any servers check on us, see if we needed more drinks or water, or let us know there would be an extended delay on the meal. We had to resort to going to the bar to get an additional drink. When we finally asked about our food, there wasn’t any sense of urgency or apology for the extremely slow service. We understand when it’s busy, things can be slow, but the servers need to be better at communicating that to the guests and we shouldn’t have to hunt down servers for service! We expected better communication and care for the price we paid (Eye Fillet and Rib Fillet), but those were extremely lacking. Both our steaks were cooked wrong, but we didn’t bother even bringing it up to the wait staff as we didn’t want to wait any longer and figured with the apathy overall, we wouldn’t get anywhere. Upon paying, you expect the manager to ask how your service and meals were, but we had crickets so paid and just left. Also, for a “steak” restaurant, you expect the chefs in the kitchen to take a bit more care or have more support. While waiting to pay, we could see right into the kitchen and there only seemed to be one chef cooking the steaks and they were all just piled together so no wonder both of ours were cooked so poorly as they appeared to be all jumbled together. For the price you’re paying, the quality of steak, the overall quality of the final product and service should be MUCH better. Only plus side would be the portion of the chips / salad served with the steaks (although the chips were bland and cold when they arrived) and the wedge salad was really nice. In the future, we’ll most likely have to drive into Brisbane to get better quality and better value as we won’t be splurging at these prices again for what we received. Sincerely, very disappointed diner.

Tried the rump. The medium was spot on. Partner had chicken roulade and enjoyed it.

Excellent food and drinks and a snazzy place to take out-of-town friends. Unfortunately the staff were very inattentive. Took a while to place our order. Food and drinks came out quickly but then while we were still eating, the staff started packing up the tables around us, stacking chairs and spraying down. This would have only been around 8.30 on a Saturday night. We were keen to get dessert and probably another round of drinks but no one came anywhere near our table until we left at 9.15. We ended up going home for icecream and wine instead! Will probably return as the food is fab but likely not regularly.

Lovely food and service, lil bit on the pricey side but it was worth it. Steak was cooked spot on, bakehouse salad was average could've grilled the halloumi instead. Cocktail was more fizzy than anything else. But food was served fast & all together considering we had over 20 people with us. We all left full and happy.

Nice venue. Food was so so. Steak was a bit dry- and I ordered it medium rare. It took over an hour from being sat to actually getting our food. Didn’t have any take our order for about 20 minutes so I’m not surprised. Don’t think I’ll rush back.

I had such great expectations of this place, the photos and reviews I had seen were awesome, so I don't know if we just picked a bad night or if our experience was average. There were a few of us, for starters we got the bread and the calamari, both were to die for, the house made butter was moreish and calamari for perfect. As for our mains, 2 meals couldn't be faulted, but the 2 other meals were less than we expected. We sent the rib eye fillet back to be cooked medium like we ordered instead of rare, then came back medium rare as everyone else had finished eating, so we got it boxed to go. The crumb pork cutlet was horrible, too thick, too much fat, and the crumb on the inside was super soggy, and the apple in the apple slaw could not be tasted. The cheese burger was to die for and the rump was over medium, but still delicious. The meals were very generous in sizing. The cocktails were so good, and there is a decent variety to choose from. All the staff were lovely, and the place had a vibe, I just wish the food had lived up to what we expected. Forgot to get photos as we were starving.

I visited this wonderful restaurant tonight for my birthday. From the moment I walked in the door, I knew I had chosen the right place. The food was absolutely fantastic, the wait staff were second to none (thank you Jessie in particular), the decor was perfect, and the bill for all four (4) courses exceeded my expectations. To the owner of this establishment, I can only say, bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What a venue to celebrate your 80th!! The staff were so attentive and the private room was set up beautifully to welcome our 22 guests. We were able to put some finishing touches to the room with flowers and balloons, and it all looked so inviting when everyone arrived. The food was delicious. Everyone was happy. Thank you for making my birthday luncheon such a special occasion. One complaint: It was hard to get in touch with you over the phone to make a few requests: but whenever we did get to talk your staff was always pleasant and reassuring.

Want here for dinner with a colleague. Disappointed to hear I couldn't order what I wanted (chicken roulade) as they had run out. I had the salad instead which was enjoyable. My colleague thoroughly enjoyed her steak and roast vegetables. Raucous teenage boys ruined the ambience for us slightly. Overall it was a tasty meal in a trendy looking restaurant. The staff were extremely polite with great service.

We came here for dinner, we were the first to arrive. We placed our order, staff were very polite and it didn't take long for our food to arrive. That is all i have to write that is good about this place. I had a chicken burger, the burger was dry, overcooked, and the filling was sparce. My daughter also had chicken. This was dry and chewy. Whilst we were eating, another customer made a complaint and ended up scraping part of her meal onto another plate. The food was very disappointing for the price. My daughter visited again a week later as part of a birthday get-together, and the chicken she was served was so tough that it actually pulled her tooth out! It was quite a traumatic experience for my 9 year old. Unfortunately, I was not present for the birthday celebrations, but I am not surprised based on what I had experienced the week before. Safe to say I will not be returning.

I got a takeaway chicken salad from here. Wasn't expecting much as it's a steakhouse and I don't eat steak. But I was completely blown away by this salad. It was incredible. I will definitely be back!

Quality used to be fantastic when it first opened, but quality of the steak is now a bit of a hit and miss. I ordered it eye fillet, which came out looking like it had been run over by a truck and left on the grill overnight to die! Extremely disappointed…

We have had a crazy few weeks and saw the ‘Stake with Mates’ promotion. It was such a welcome break. We took the kids and just enjoyed the live music and fantastic food. The steak was juicy, tender and delicious. The big surprise was the beetroot salad. Amazing!!!! Thank you for a relaxing afternoon with great service, food and drinks

If you genuinely love steak, this is the place for you! I ordered T-Bone steak (rare) and it was delicious. It was cooked exactly the way I wanted and the Cafe de Bakehouse sauce was chefs kiss! The sides are great also! You HAVE to try the wedge salad (with blue cheese). Bake house Steakhouse is our new favourite spot - the pictures are from two different visits (Lunch and Dinner).
