I'm absolutely disgusted with this venue. After waiting 5-10 minutes to get a turn on the claw machine - due to having too many bratty kids on the premises and an insufficient collection of claw machines - I came to find that the claw machine was malfunctioning. After numerous attempts, I was unable to insert my legal tender, Australian $5 note. I later saw some kids successfully work the same machine, but I'm not willing to admit that this could be in any way my fault. Obviously the machine is rigged against adult players. Ageist much?! This is completely un-Australian. Just because the food and service are well above par, doesn't mean mature aged patrons should be expected to just put up with such a pathetic, arguably criminal injustice. Tracy Grimshaw would have never let this stand. 10/10. Would return.

Arrived at 545pm for dinner. Special menu was already marked out of stock ordered one of the 2 options left. 5minuets after paying for meal we get told they don't have that option. Changed to a standard steak on menu. One person received pizza aprox 9mins after order. We waited on 3 other dishes 15 mins after pizza.

Very good menu and delivered as described so well done. We very much appreciated the Seniors option because so many places serve mega portions and the slightly smaller Seniors versions are just perfect for we oldies.

Meals are good but not great value for money reasonable, had dinner again tonight and it would have to be the worst meal I have ever had. I've had oysters kilpatrick there before and they were nice and plump but tonight i could not even taste the first one just lots of bacon and miles of barbecue sauce, it was sickening. Scrapped out most of the bacon and sauce on the second and third to reveal a shrivelled up tiny oyster about the size of a pea, disgusting never again. Eat at your own risk

Lunch menu is great value and tastes great. We had the schnitzel burger and calamari. Generous sizes and it was fantastic. Great place to dine on the Tablelands. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We enjoyed our dinner experience in the bistro dining area. The meals were large fresh and delightful. This is another restaurant hit by lack of employees, but they managed to wow our table of 10. We enjoyed the huge caesar salad, curry, steak and fish dishes. The room was full of fun. Easy parking, well priced. Clean function room, dining areas and bathrooms.

Didn't stay there but the family and I ate dinner there twice. That good we had to go back for another evening meal. Excellent value for what you get for your money. Heaps! And it's very nice tucker. If you're a Coeliac like me the chips are gluten free! Yew!!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘Œ

Absolutely hopeless. Twice now they've forgotten our order. First time our whole table finished and was having dessert and we hadn't receive our meal despite several polite requests at the counter. Eventually a very poor apology. 2nd time it happened again and over an hour later received some very burnt chips to accompany a very sub- par meal. Completely understand a long wait on a busy night or a slight mix up on orders- not a problem at all. But rude staff who are arrogant and dissmisive really ruin a night out. Would not return or recommend to anyone.

Appalling customer service, waited over an hour and "some meals take longer" was the response, despite the fact the customers who ordered after us had their meals well before. Staff did not care. Emailed the manager with no response, it's no surprise they cannot get staff.

Good pub fare and great family outing. Our kids aged 2 and 4 years old love the kids area. The calamari and chips are particularly tasty!

6 of us went for lunch on a busy day. We all ordered different meals. When they arrived every meal was enormous, looked fabulous and tasted great. And considering the number of other diners I thought we would have a huge wait but the meals arrived quite quickly. Definitely will go here again.

We are here visiting Atherton for a couple of days and decided we would try The Carrington Hitel for Sunday night dinner. Was extremely glad with our choice. Meals were huge, good price and delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended πŸ‘Œ

We eat there regularly because they have good quality food and a senior’s discount. You could not buy the food and do it yourself for the same price. All Tom Headly pubs are top notch food. πŸ‘πŸ€πŸŽ

This place, this place! wow. This has to be the number one place to dine on the tablelands, hands down. The menu is fantastic with great prices and generous serves so you don't feel ripped off. I tried the battered seafood plate:- 2 raw oysters; 1 battered fish; prawn twists; salt n pepper squid; chips and salad. Deeeeelicious! The place is clean, and spacious so you don't feel like you are encroaching on the other diners. Great, polite service and although they are short staffed, the food came out pretty quick. I am trying a steak next time. Travellers, please make sure this is one place you try for a meal, I am positive you won't be disappointed!

I didn't eat there, I was only in the bar area. A great selection of drinks. A very clean and modern place. No stinky wet stale beer on crusty carpet smell. Very clean bathrooms. A great playroom for children.

Went to the Carrington for a birthday dinner for my wife. I ordered two dinner-sized battered fish n chips at $25 each. Upon returning to the table I noticed the receipt showed my card had only been debited $30 for two smaller lunchtime meals. I brought this to the cashier's attention but she said it would be sorted. After waiting some time for the meals we were served small portions of fish n chips from the lunch menu. Upon requesting proper dinner-sized portions the wait person returned to take the meals back but said the chef required me to pay an upgrade for new meals. We then asked for different meals and paid extra for those. One of the new meals, the T-bone steak was so dry it was inedible. We will not be returning to the Carrington any time soon nor recommending it to other people.

The few times i have been to the Carrington I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's great for a casual catch up. The staff came across as very friendly and helpful. The meals are delicious and was served quickly and WOW, portion sizes are huge.

Went here for dinner, food was great and a very good portion. Hubby got the seniors meal which was also a great sized portion. Atmosphere is good. Only thing is they could do with more staff on a busy night. 2 girls working, 1 taking orders, the other was delivering meals, cleaning plates away, cleaning tables and at the front taking customers to their table. She was flat out trying to keep up with it all and keep customers happy. Overall though I would recommend.

Clean and modern. The usual favourites on the menu. Steak (medium-rare rib fillet) was tasty but chewy.

The presentation of the food was awful. Taste okay. Should you change the menus or add more different ones besides what is already in the menu lists?

We had a very pleasant meal here, the dining room is well layed out and the staff pleasant and proficient. We didn't wait very long for our meals even though they were very busy. It was the first hotel we had been in where there was no background music which was great as it made it easier to chat between ourselves.

Foods getting worse over time. Be careful with the chicken roast of the day, boot leather. Beans are great if you are thirsty. Then when mentioned and no food eaten on plate they couldn't careless. Not a huge fan anymore. Although the service is fantastic, meals are quick.

The food is amazing. Never had a let down here. Staff are friendly and the venue is great. This is why the Carrington is always buzzing.
