Very nice place, good location as good start for new bar. Drinks still have not that much variety, they have only Egyptian hard liquor which is not good for most of the people. Beer is good price and fresh. Appetizer and mazza not bad. And the music is somehow not bad but it's need kind of special playlist to customize Carol music. As I knew that Carol by underground after 8, which is good that I have to reserve a spot for me before I go. Should be easier way to make my reservation and at the same time I respect if they have simple flexibility for the guests. At the end I wish you can access the visa payment :)

I have come to this place with my friend and we were talking to next table peacefully and the bartenders came and told us that we were banned and we aren’t allowed to talk to anyone. Had a great experience here. The first place I've found in Cairo that has a decent cocktail! The vibe is pretty nice too. Lots of bossa nova and jazzy tunes in a classic bar setting. Ordered the beef liver (small, but excellent), a mojito, and a couple Sakara's. Covid restrictions were taken more seriously here with spaced tables, and a temperature check coming in. Complaints about it being too smoky are justified, but it didn't detract from my experience. Highly recommended for any thirsty travelers.

I love Carol! One of my favorite bars, too cozy and nice and close to everything. The only downside is that it’s too tiny so there will be cigarette smoke everywhere, and the food (specially appetizers) takes too long to be prepared.
