Lovely hotel. Very clean rooms, hot water all day long, rooms are very recently renovated, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast is good enough. In addition to Great location, amazing stuff. Almost forget to mention the cool Swimming pool and the cafe at the rooftop with its wonderful views for all Cairo. Definitely will return soon.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s filthy. There was some red smeared substance on the bathroom wall (we couldn’t tell whether it was blood or lipstick, either way, gross). The bed didn’t have sheets, so we slept in our jeans and shirts to avoid our skin touching the blanket that lord knows how many people slept in before us. The room was generally dirty and unappealing. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, because the handle seemed to have been smashed in. Wifi is non-existent, which is annoying because you’ll need the internet to search for a better hotel. It took a lot of effort to get the staff to give us towels. We see that this is a recurring theme here. They were dismissive and unfriendly whenever we reminded them that we needed towels. We see that the management responds defensively to this kind of feedback, so we took pictures. Anyway, if your plan is to escape to the rooftop bar and get away from your filthy room, I hope you like Frank Sinatra. You’re going to hear Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas twenty times. The staying was a nightmare. On the halls we bumped nose to nose to 2 rats in the first day and in the next day with another one. The rooms are durty, without cleanlinen and towels. Please, don't chose this hotel.

Indiana Hotel is a perfect 3 star hotel located closer to the river Nile, closer to most of the places of interest in Cairo. The rooms are large and in good condition and everything works perfectly. Just as you expect out of a good hotel. In addition to the outdoor swimming pool and the charming Cafe at the rooftop combined with a great rates this makes Indiana Hotel the best option for me. Certainly I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo and looking for a great budget hotel.

After reading the reviews about this hotel, I had some doubts whether I liked it or not. on the first morning I could not appreciate all the advantages of the hotel, as I was very tired after the road. The hotel is certainly not new. but on the second day I began to feel me like at home.. Not a bad breakfast, cozy room, comfortable bed, clean but not big pool and of course an incredible location. you can walk for hours along the banks of the Nile and bridges. many delicious places with different cuisine around. I arrived at the hotel for 4 days and extended it to 8 days. and I will probably stay even longer.

It is really worst hotel. 1. AC doesn't work. 2. No lock in bathroom. 3. Charging slots not working. 4. Telephone doesn't work to call reception. 5. There are two lifts. Both are unsafe. We were locked on 7th floor the lift stopped working. 6. Swimming pool is closed and there is no rooftop cafe now. 7. Restaurant is very unhygienic. Sticky plates, table, glass. 8. Food is not good. 9. Wifi keeps stopping. 10. They charge you too high if you eat normal food like soup and omlette.

We had to pay 30 dollars and we saw bugs in the shower we change rooms and they wasn't clean on the floor they didn't have towels and bed sheet wasn't changed for long time.

The hotel facilities are very old, it can be seen that once very luxurious, but aging serious, very unclean, the quality of bedding and bath towels is not very good, sometimes sleep uncomfortable, if not lock the door, others can come in from the outside

We planned a safe girls trip to Cairo for two days but we ended up changing it to one night in this hotel because the conditions in the hotel room was unacceptable! The Room Telefon didn’t work, our light bulbs didn’t partly work and our Air conditioner didn’t work anymore and unfortunately no towels at all. (So bring your own because you cannot count with this Hotel) We had to go to the reception twice in the night (11.30 o’clock) just to hear from the workers that someone was gonna come by in 5 minutes. We stayed up until 2 in the morning waiting. It was not handled professionally, no compensations and no help. Only from the receptionist many question on why we didn’t come to the reception to complain. We did not feel safe as woman and specially my friends who wears a hijab. Price and conditions of this hotel are not suitable not even for backpackers.

I had the worst experience with this hotel. Don’t believe the photos on bookings. I’ve changed 3 different rooms. All are dirty and nasty. First one without curtains (broken) so I ask to change. Second one without bathroom light (had electrical issue). Last one was without sheets or even pillowcases!

Such a Pathetic hotel which i see in my whole travel journey. Its gave me the feeling of stone age poor house. And the picture they put on the website are filtered pictures l. This hotel do not look like this. Bathroom are in very bad conditioned. Hot water service not available. Wifi not available. I am totaly totaly not satisfied. I stayed in room 309, the door handle is broken. room is unclean, very very old, bad bed. moreover, they charged me more the normal rate 700 while the rate is 500 I felt they used me as I have arrived at 4am from the Airport. I left after 6 hrs. very very bad experience.

The room advertised at $18 a night, but it actually cost $21 a night. Very big room. No bath towels. Remote operating fan was nice. There is no mini bar. That's a joke, people. Excellent location.

It was amazing experience in this hotel I was looking for a hotel after I lost my booking in other hotel and I called them in the reception and I booked in the same time - food in breakfast was delicious and people were so friendly the pool was good and I were late for my check out and I asked if I could take half day and they accept - high recommendation for Indiana Hotel

Hotel Indiana…I still smile whenever I remember this place :) Stayed there 1 night. It was very cheaply priced. Surprisingly comfy bed so had a good nights sleep. Location is excellent.

This is my second stay at this beautiful hotel, it is one of the best budget hotels in Cairo, with its brilliant location and great staff. Rooms are very cozy and clean with really comfy beds. We had fun at the swimming pool but unfortunately the roof cafe was closed for renovations. Again I can’t talk enough about the amazing service and staff. Delicious breakfast and I loved the coffee. Really I highly recommend Indiana Hotel to anyone looking for a great budget hotel in cairo.

It's the best budget hotel in this area, stayed here for 1 month and now I will return. Spacious, bright, clean room with comfy beds, nice staff, breakfast is included which is fine for something quick in the morning. The location is good and a safe, pleasant area to walk around too. Friendly doorman and staff.

You get what you have paid for … what do you expect if you pay 800 EGP or less per night … low level hospitality , elevator doesn’t work, maintenance guy fights with the bellman in front of guests, bad cleanliness, noisy and inefficient A/C, and I can leave the remaining to your imagination. Unfortunately photos on the web site do not match the reality by all means. To the hotel management, you have a great opportunity to be one of the best hotels in this amazing neighborhood, and I wonder why you don’t invest little bit more on maintenance of the rooms, housekeeping, and more important on the staff.
