We tried to check-in as a group of 10 people. After making us wait for 1 hour and trying to charge us more money, girls finally got the rooms. And we thought it will be fine, until we got to know the guys can't check-in, because they do not allow Indians! I was trying to explain the situation, but the menager didn't speak English and wasn't even trying to communicate, she looked like she doesn't care and don't know what she is doing. We decided to leave, because staying in the rasist hostel is out of option. The only person who was trying to help was the receptionist, who was very nice, unfortunately he couldn't do anything as it wasn't his decision. I strongly discourage anyone to stay in this place, as this kind of rasist behavior should not be accepted.

Great location, very busy street. Friendly and helpful staff. The entrance is hard to find (it’s on a side) so just ask someone that work near there. The elevator doesn’t work, so you’ll need to use the stairs, it’s 4 levels (not so bad if you’re not carrying a lot of luggage). Be sure to doble check if you actually have hot water in the room before taking a shower. They have heathers in the rooms but ours didn’t worked. They don’t have a restaurant inside the hotel but there’s plenty of options on the street.

Horrible place, don't waste your money. Some rooms have no fans, others have no cleanliness. Only a few have a balcony, which is very filthy. Staff knows very limited English, but tries to help. The whole place is filthy and old. Not at all maintained... Some rooms have AC, but just for show, as no AC works in the ENTIRE HOTEL. Strongly recommend against staying here, no matter how good the price you get. Also there's no functioning elevator, so you'll have to climb 3 flights of stairs every single time. Worst stay ever!!!

‏DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. This hotel is the worst Cairo experience ever - I lost my valuable necklace here in my room because one of them he opened the door when I was sleeping and when I asked him who are you he said I’m a housekeeper and this place never apologized or took responsibility, noisiness everywhere No welcome at all and they are laying all the time they said to me there’s breakfast in the room and when I went to the reception to ask about how can I’ve my breakfast she said we don’t have I’m sorry and it was terribly. ‏This just should not happen anymore in Egypt and it is embarrassing. I am usually not leaving any comments on google or booking- this experience was just exceptionally needed to be shared.

I have stayed at many budget priced Downtown Cairo hotels. Most of which are pretty shabby. This one has had some extensive renovations. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, modern bathroom, new mattresses, bedlinen and towels, and even a fridge. The whole place is very clean. Good value for money. Two little improvements I would like to see. The elevator is not working, so you need to be fit to climb stairs to the 3rd or 4th floor and the wifi was a bit weak. In conclusion. If you just want a nice, clean, basic hotel this is a good choice.

Room was perfect, they had little issue with water but fixed it, but we killed 8 mosquitos and still found some flying. We couldn’t sleep at night, please put something there.

Needs a bit more love. Negatives: The toilet seat was dirty 🤢🤢. The water from the shower was almost not draining, as a result everytime someone showered the bathroom was flooding and water almost run into the room. There is no heating, so during winter the room is freezing cold. There is no soundproofing so it's impossible to sleep without earplugs due to the constant car horn sound from the street. They were painting the hallway, so there was a very strong paint smell even in the room. Positives: very comfortable bed, friendly staff and great location.

Very Bad management. The physical room is not the same as shown on the website. No Wifi, mosquito problems, no fan or AC, 5th floor no lift.

This hotel is located in a filthy run down building on the 3rd floor and lift was not working. The rooms were another floor up. Rooms are so basic, with no towels, toilet paper provided and no hot water. The WiFi didn't work and the staff were incredibly rude and aggressive when confronted. Especially the guy Moustafa. Had to leave and find a better hotel. Please please avoid this dump. They even have staff writing good reviews here. Don't be fooled, this place is awful

Stayed here for a week. The good: - Staff; they were hospitable and understanding. My demands were met on time. - Location; easy and quick access to markets. - A decent lobby to chill and hangout. The bad: - Lift doesn't work so you have to walk three floors. - Common bathroom.
