Very nice place in downtown Cairo, with smartly decorated rooms, a good shower, and amazing breakfast (vegan breakfast can be arranged by asking the staff). If you choose a street-facing room you will be treated to a nice view of the square, but have some earplugs ready, as the traffic tends to be noisy well into the night. Great place to stay in Cairo!

These people are extremely deceitful and dishonest. We had booked a room with a balcony facing the square and paid more for it. Upon arrival they checked us in normally, charged our card and told us that the “deluxe rooms” were located in a different building. We then had to haul our baggage’s from one building to another (where they didn’t have an elevator). It turned out that they put us in a completely different hotel, where we had to checkin again. This new hotel was away from the square and did not have a balcony or an elevator. There was no compensation for this change/downgrade. I would never recommend booking this hotel or dealing with these unscrupulous people.

I’ve had the most amazing experience here. My room was very comfortable, and the staff made me feel like family. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the balcony was stunning. They’re also very helpful in booking tours with cars and guides and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank you so much to the staff for helping me enjoy my trip !!

I arrived on an early flight (5am) from Australia; so exhausted. My agent had said, “Checkin is not until 2pm but try earlier and see if they’ll let you drop your bags off”. I had trouble finding the place (asked a policeman who knew the secret way in) and Ahmed was so apologetic that he not only took my bags, he brought me peach juice and a coffee, let me into his Wi-fi and sit in comfort in reception for as long as I liked. Gave me the first available room due to early checkout so I could go to sleep 3 hours earlier than expected. All staff encountered were similarly kind and I don’t think it was just because I’m an old lady. When my even older friend arrived to join me at a time well after checkin, and fresh as a daisy from her brief flight from Naples, he was just as delightful to her too.( I had texted her about no signage and entering through The Tulip Hotel sign.)

The entrance, specially the lift, was a bit scary, but everything turn out ok. The hotel room was very clean and tidy, and the breakfast was handmade and very tasty. Very good relation quality/price.

Visiting Cairo with my husband from the US and was looking for a reasonable priced centrally located spot to explore Cairo from. The square had everything we needed. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and beds and a nice breakfast. I will note that the balcony rooms are lovely and you get a great view of the city but the square is very noisy. Book a standard room if you want a little more quiet. Cairo is a lot and it was so nice to have a relaxing space to come back to after a long day. Would definitely come back!

The Good: Excellent central location, clean room with pleasant and helpful staff. Heating was adequate, and falafel served during breakfast was good. The Bad: Tiny shower, low water pressure, difficulty mixing hot/cold water. Scary looking entrance on the ground floor.

Booked a room in this hotel(they only have a total of 6 rooms), booked with city view and balcony. The staff was very nice and the room was a great size, but did not get a balcony they said the other room that i was supposed to get had it but it was under construction. The bathroom was very tiny and the shower head barely worked. You will get woken up at 6am cause you could hear the traffic honking non stop through the closed window. I personally wouldn't stay here again.

One of the worst hotel you can ever stay in . The AC isn't even working in the rooms and the staff members are very rude especially the lady that works in the morning. Also there was no remote control for the TV and when we have asked for one the reply was we will look for a remote for you tommrow. Also the dirt inside the room is attroches. I don't recommend anyone staying in this hotel . I personally work in the hotel industry (Hilton hotel)and this isn't the way to treat your guest .

Everything is great. The location is a bit confusing as Google maps shows somewhere else and there aren’t any boards with the name. However the view is amazing and justifies the name. The elevator is a pain but the people are like the balm. The bathroom is very very small and if one is a bit healthy the entrance might be barred. The breakfast is a mix of fresh bread and falafel with processed juices and coffee. If they switch to fresh fruits or fresh juices it’ll deserve a higher rating. The air conditioning was crisp and hence full marks for that. Overall pleasant stay for 35 usd.

We had a fantastic stay at The Square Boutique Hotel and would definitely come here again. The service was spectacular! We booked last minute and they reached out on WhatsApp to see if we needed anything before our stay. When we arrived to the hotel, Ahmed greeted us downstairs to lead us to the lobby. The hotel can be a bit tricky to find, but they were very responsive to help navigate us, despite getting in very late. Once in, he led us to the lobby and prepared a delicious welcome drink, which was much appreciated after our long journey. He also arranged an early breakfast for us so we would make our early morning tour and helped us with laundry services. The room was very cute and boutique! We had a comfortable bed, high ceilings, and a beautiful balcony, overlooking the square. The hospitality is top notch! Better than any 5 star hotel we’ve stayed at. They helped arrange laundry, early breakfast, and even set it up on a balcony for us to enjoy. When we got back, after our tour, Ahmed greeted us again with a smile and made us feel welcomed even though we were already checked out and waiting for our train. We were able to relax before heading to our next destination. Very kind and welcoming hotel that made our stay in Cairo feel special - Hope to be back soon!

They were super nice with us in the stay and we bought a tour from them that was also pretty good for the Nile Cruise. I am not sure why they have bad reviews but for the price I highly recommend it

This is my second time travelling to cairo. I chose this hotel simply due to the positive reviews and the great pictures I saw on Booking.com . My first hotel experience in Giza last year left me quite underwhelmed about my future stays in Cairo. However, the Square Boutique Hotel has exceeded my expectations. It just might be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, which is not a chain hotel like the Marriott, Steigenberger etc. I'm writing this review currently in 38c heat, but my room is pleasant 20c, thanks to the aircon provided. The sounds of the extremely busy square below the hotel disappear as soon as I close the balcony doors. The room itself is clean, comfortable and quite aesthetically pleasing. The service so far has been absolutely perfect. Big smiles, happy helpers and people who are really intrigued to talk to you and make you feel like family. A special thank you to Mohamed.S, as his hospitality has been above and beyond! If you would like to stay in Cairo but away from the tourist traps, while also enjoying the amenities and luxuries of a culture filled vacation, then I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. 10/10

Good place on center location, old cairo. Entrance looks cripy but inside is confortable. With closed windows noise disappear.

Everything was great EXCEPT when I booked a room with a balcony and ended up getting a room with just a window instead. I paid the price of the balcony and they said there's nothing available. If you stay in this place please don't book the balcony room because there's no guarantee you'll gonna have it.

A hidden jem in the heart of Cairo! I'm usually sceptical when I check hotel pictures because it doesn't really reflect the reality, but this is not the case! The room was amazing, spacious, clean and comfortable. Easy to reach and the staff are very accommodating.. The bathroom was very clean and efficient, a bit small, but still.. clean is the keyword! Thank you for such a nice hotel. I will definitely be staying here every time I'm in Cairo! Ps: there is an elevator, but there are couple of stairs in the entrance, so it is not an easy access for someone with disability..

The rooms are actually nice, great view excellent location good WiFi so far, its December and no heating but it's ok to be fair, the only annoying thing is the cars nonstop honking there horns it's like culture to them 🤦🏽‍♂️ For the price and location great choice just a little worrying when you first come in because its a shared entrance is really dark and dingy but when you get to your floor it's nice and quirky just wish they would all pitch in and just refurbish the entrance even a lock of paint be ok c

Hidden hotel in the center of Cairo. The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are a little bit small but well furnished and really really clean. It's a good price for the location. The only drawback is the noise from the street. It is clearly manageable if you are not too sensitive.

Fantastic staff and service, really friendly and accomodating to every request, Nora(I think was her name) was especially good, bringing juice or tea and coffee to the room after we had returned from a big day. They organised a pickup and drop off to and from the airport, also organised a guide and driver for the pyramids. Only downside was very small bathrooms but all in all great place.

Pretty good for the price, clean, new rooms. Some rooms have balconies viewing the square and some don't but it is not entirely a bad thing. The only inconvenience is that all the rooms are king-size beds, no roomes with single beds.
