The hotel was absolutely good, and very clean, staff could not do more for you even picked us when we got lost also arranged uber drive for us to the market and air port. Breakfast was very good and service. Free WiFi 24 hour reception desk .all was good, don't be put by the outside. All tourists attractions where near by I would definitely stay there again

Never ever go to such a place. Only the entrance of that place looks horrible. The elevator is as if you will fall down from the up floor not safe at all. The building is absolutely old. but hotel is located in a middle of the city. I booked it online because pictures on booking.com was so nice. But when I went up by this elevator to floor I didn't go anywhere further. Lots of wood from renovation on the floor and a very very old elevator scared me. I canceled my booking and didn't even think how my room could have been. Because living in such environment isn't an option. No security building is on the road. Very noisy place.

The worst experience EVER. I arrived to the hotel at 2am, but they told me all the rooms were taken, even when I had a reservation. In the middle of the night they took me to another hotel, in an abandoned building totally dirty without doors and windows. Really it was a nightmare. THE WORST THING IS THAT THEY CHARGE ME TWICE IN MY CARD AND NO REFUND DO NOT BOOK HERE. Please, Egypt is a difficult country for tourists and this place makes it even harder.

One of the worst places we stayed in. Most of the room photos are fake. It's dirty and nothing works here. They have the worst bathrooms.

Decent rooms for a decent and fair price, I would've much wanted to get the actual room that I booked but we managed. We had Suhoor at the roof, great atmosphere and decent food, but the service isn't that great. Best quality about the hotel is the location and how close it is to downtown, Tahrir square and the Egyptian museum.

Location little hidden from outside view. Land mark you find tables out side building like tea bar. Building will say #8 and you walk down the alley is in the left side. A person will help take your luggage to elevator only a few steps. Elevator is small and classic style (antique). They had great wifi but my room was close to reception.

Wonderful staffs, wonderful service, and wonderful location at the central of town. You can easily go to the Egyptian museum and popular kushari restaurant within 5mins on foot. The building itself is a little bit old and difficult to find the entrance, but our room was nice and they kept cleaning for us. On the second day when our toilet was broken, then they fixed it quickly. Even after check out the hotel, we could leave our suitcase until midningt and take a shower. I highly recommend this hotel for your first visit to Cairo!!

If it's just location, that's fine. But the entrance to the hotel is not easy to find. Not recommended if you have a lot of luggage or heavy luggage. Because you will have to pick up your bag at least twice to get to the reception. And if you are assigned a room upstairs, you will also have to carry your luggage. The room and toilet are very small. Overall the facilities are outdated. There may not be a refrigerator in the room. After I was assigned a room, I changed rooms because there was no refrigerator. One tissue and one towel each are provided. The hotel is located in the city center so it is very noisy. However, the female staff at the reception was very friendly, so I tolerated the inconvenience.

The staff was kind from the beginning, the room was prepared very quickly since we had to check in fast due to some urgent issue. The place is quiet, on a good location and the staff is at your service whatever you need. We had two queen size beds that were very comfortable and the air-conditioning was functioning great. It's an excellent value for money since you get a decent breakfast as well served in your room.

This is easily one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever had the displeasure to stay. My room was filthy when I came, after they tried to charge me 3% more for using a credit card— mind you I booked via booking.com. My room wasn’t ready for me, they tried to put me in a double room, when I reserved a queen. Not a single item advertised was in my room— a balcony, tub, a view. Nothing. Even walking into the hotel is gross, they can’t even sweep all the cigarette butts in front of their elevator. The staff was nice but this is literally the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed in egypt. AVOID.

not recommended! I booked double bed room through booking when I arrived to check in. The reception told me that they already given the double bed room to someone else and they have just one single Room for this night and for the next day there are double bed room available. I have no option because if I cancelled the room by booking. They will charge me anyway the first night. They are written in description by booking that if u r staying more than 3 nights u will get free shuttle service from airport. I got nothing I wrote an email and a Message through Booking three days before check in I got no reply. When I talked to the Manager of the reception the second day he told my sorry we are not able to give airport shuttle service because of Corona situation. I told him directly u should delete this point from description in Booking. Not professional at all. I give 2 stars for the location of the hotel also the good behaviour of the reception staffs and the price is ok comparing to the condition of the rooms otherwise the elevator has a poor condition and unsafe.

First of all hotel is on 8th and 9th floor of a old building whic is in a small street and vintage elevators only go upto the 7th Floor. Hence, it is very difficult to carry ur luggage from stairs to 8th or 9th floor. Second, only a small soap is given on first day. I stayed for 5 days but they didnt change it. There is no place in washroom to place that soap so its very difficult to manage once u take bath. Wash basin is also too small. Noisy cafe both on the lower and upper portion of hotel with loud music are enough to disturb you. Bed was also very noisy TV cable was broken. Above all, you are not allowed to take ur guest inside ur room for which u have paid. Only good thing is that it is in hub of down town. All tourist places are nearby.

Hotel in the center and close to everywhere. We made a reservation two months in advance. We went as three families. We stayed for two nights. But they gave broken rooms and there was nothing. refrigerator, kettle, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. sheets and towels were clean. We were pleased with "SUHEYLA". he was polite and helpful. Thank you Suheyla

Horrible place to stay.11nights there and 3 days no water as boiler broke. In 11 days no cleaner attempt. We have to ask for bedding and new towels and changed by self. No visitors allowed to come to room. Breakfast every day the same. Lift no safe. Smell of cigarettes as staff smoking on the corridor. Clothes missing after wash for 4 days. Avoid this place.

A fair stay for the price I paid. Location is good and easy to get to although entrance is tucked away inside a side alley. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, wifi a bit patchy at times. Overall a nice stay if you're not expecting anything fancy.

Watch my YouTube channel : MUHANNA GHANEM. This is Dilapidated building first 8 floors are abandoned. Creepy place. The lift is broken and you get the feel on entering a haunted house. No 1 to help you with bags . Going in lift feels creapy and feels like zombie attack might happen. Hugee mosqitoes issue Good part 1. The location next to egyptian muesum and mac donalds 2. Water and rooms are clean only mosquitoes but staff helps with spraying the room inform them in advance 3. Sheesh cafe on top

We arrived at the hotel and they transfered us to another hotel: Uptown Hotel at Tahrir Square (5 min away) so we can check in earlier. The hotel is still a work in progress - workers working even at midnight. There is no toilet paper, no shampoo and no hairdryer. We had a problem with hot water but they fixed it. We paid for the room with wifi and double bed and breakfast but got separate beds and no wifi and no breakfast. I would recommend finding some other accomodation and pay a little more.

I reserved a quadruple room with balcony and when I arrive they only gave a room that can barely fit me and my husband, the air conditioning wasn't working at all. The bathroom is like a toy bathroom. And when I ask for the room that I reserved they just told me that they gave it to somebody else. The worst night of my life. I would never come back to this place.

It's not the hotel but the cafe on the roof. It's a nice cosy place, with an outstanding view on the Downtown. Only one thing, the staff takes a while to get the drinks you ordered. Other than that it's recommended.

Extremely dirty building. The lift is ancient and very scary. The room was decent but bathroom had major problems- sink clogged and shower not working well. Location is the only good thing about this hotel. That said, there are many better hotels in the area.

The location is rare, the staff are helpful, the cleanliness is perfect, the size of the room is good, the value of the money is good according to other hotels .

The building is located in down town, near to go bus, ramses Hilton, shopping centers Restaurants... But there’s something went wrong with my trip, firstly I asked them for a clean room and town view! The room wasn’t clean when I asked the receptionist for a new room he told me that we don’t have any other room! There was too many spiders inside the room! The towel wasn’t clean but I asked for a new one and she brought a new one! Not any room service for daily . The breakfast was really sample, when I asked them for a glass of tea they told me that you have to pay for extra glass 😂. The elevator was awful. But the receptionist was really a kind lady! She helped me with my checked out and she printed my flight details.

The hotel consists of the last 3 levels in the top roof in an abandoned building, the hotel has it's own elevator so after a certain time at night you have to call them in order to call the elevator for you, and in a night at a late time we called them and they were not answering so we had to go on stairs for 8 levels and the receptionist told us sorry that he was in the toilet and when we asked them to give us the pass for the elevator they said that they have no spare one, it is cheep but both service & accomodation are very bad, examples: we choose a room then after we checking in they took the T.V screen from it, WIFi is not working in some rooms, the room number 933 window is not fully closing so the room was so cold at late night, the room has Damp celling. The telephone inside the room is not working so you have to ho down to the loopy if you need anything, the bathroom had no toilet paper and when we told them on the loopy they gave us a roll in our hands, the room is full of flies and mosquitos, there are no room service if you not asked for, toilets are clean and the beds are okay. No one told us where or when we can get our breakfast, we got it on the 2nd day when we asked for it. The view for the roof top cafe is a good place and has a town down view Reply to the below feedback from the owner: The booking was for 2 rooms not only one and you don't have any other options than these two rooms so we have to accept.

The room was clean, lot of noise from the roof top at night, the street and even in the hotel. The shower lack water/pressure and we had to wash ourselves with ziploc bags. Other than the shower problem and the noise, it was good and the staff is nice.

  • 2/5 Fred R. 1 year ago on Google
We went there for 9 nights with a group of friends. Some of us didnt even have a mini fridge in their rooms to keep the water cold. All of them didnt even the safe like mentionned in the booking. The showers were bad, couldnt get a full shower and water went everywhere in the bathroom. During the evening you would have no water pressure. Breakfast was indeed included but mostly dry and we didn't go back to eat there for the rest of our stay. The location was great tho, you weren't far from the Ramses train station and could go see a lot on foot as well.

The hotel got a cafeteria on top of it playing high pitched local songs from noon to midnight. Don't recommend it for business trips or if you sleep before 1 a.m.
