Charging a special ticket to enter the Royal Mummy Hall is a gross injustice. People come here only to see Pharaoh. It is being exploited to the maximum. It will be an unforgettable sight in life.

So the royal mummy's hall is inside the new museum of egyptian civilization. The fact that I don't. The fact that it appears As the Royal mummy's hall on Google is a mistake. The photos that You can see are from the Museum of egyptian civilization because you are not allowed to take pictures inside the royal mummy's hall. I can say that it was a unique Experience. Some people might find it not appealing as you might get fearful or scared. Just think about the fact that the mummies are Thousands of years old. Respect them talk with a low voice do not Video or take photos. Other than that Enjoy a fascinating experience? I'm not going to give you any spoilers just go and live it.

It is one of the most amazing museums of the world, thousands of incredible pieces of the ancient Egypt. The entrance tickets prices are quite reasonable (£160 LE, about €8 and all inclusive is £300 about €15). On the other hand, during summer it is tough the climate inside for no air conditioning is available. It is also not nice at all that it is not possible to make pictures to the Tootankamon mask. At the end of the day it is a wonderful experience, massively recommendable.

There are many Mummies in this museum in the basement.. pictures are not allowed to take. At Ground floor there many artifacts, Islamic history and Other old antique things are there. Also, there are Egyption Textile Hall where you can see Egyption Era Cloths, Mummies Related clothes etc. There is a lake as well in that Museum, other parts are still under construction. Tickets you can buy from the gate. Tickets could be buy upto 4PM. Timings are 8am to 5pm. Latet they closed everything . There is a resturant in a Museum and has nice place to sit. But it is a bit expensive. Lastly, there is a Glafe a Kaba and A key inside the Museum..

An absolute must visit. It was amazing seeing all the articles kept inside. Take the all inclusive ticket which will cost you 300 EGP. If you have a student ID card you get a good discount. Using the all inclusive ticket you can enter the mummies room also where you would be amazed to see the mummies and read about them. I would even recommend you to take a guide. Though they tell you the association has a fixed fee of 350 EGP you can try bargaining. The come down to 150 EGP also. The most fascinating thing was the mummies room and the royal animal mummies room.

Part of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The Mummy Room requires an extra ticket. It's very inexpensive and a must. Seeing the Mummies of those ancient Pharaohs is quite an experience. I did not take pictures out of respect. But that's just me.

The ticket was 200 LE/person since we are not Egyptian. The museum is really small, you are not allowed to take a picture of the mummies inside but you are allowed to take a pictures of the other things. The mummies place is very crowded and there is lack of organizing!

Upon visiting the Royal Mummies Hall, I was captivated by the awe-inspiring display of ancient Egyptian royalty. The meticulously preserved mummies of pharaohs and queens offered a profound insight into their lives and customs. The exhibit’s detailed explanations and historical context added depth to the experience, making it a must-see for anyone fascinated by Egypt’s rich cultural heritage. The somber yet fascinating atmosphere of the hall made it a truly unforgettable journey through time.

State of the art museum, very modern design, beautiful show cases and lighting that gives the historical show rooms the attention it deserves. A tour through Egypt history with many art work to enjoy and appreciate

Museum is good. But ticket price is so high. Egyptian govt is plundering the tourist so much. Ticket price is 160 egp. If you want to see mummies then extra ticket which is 180 egp. Govt is plundering peoples. But otherside so thing given by egp govt..

Visited on 13th Nov 2023 The royal mummies hall is the best part of the museum. It is very well exhibited with details in English for foreigners. Why I reduced a star is because they have kept only the mummies of Pharaohs. The explanation and evolution of the process through the generation is missing. Also the mummies of animals are missing which most people are not aware. For trips in Egypt and South East Asia, please follow @darkgreenadventures on Instagram

I wish I could have taken pictures. I wanted to spend more time there because I was so fascinated. It was, in my opinion, a must-see for anyone who visits Cairo should see..... like the Pyramids of Giza.

It was amazing. The monuments and there description. Also, the decoration of the hall feels like I were traveling through the ancient Egypt. There are arrows on the ground to direct you.

There is only one fake in the museum. When you enter the door, you can see a black stone tablet on your right hand. This is the Rosetta stone tablet. The inscription on the stone tablet is the key to unlock the ancient Egyptian characters, which is of great academic value.

Very interesting place to visit. Unfortunately for us we came in high season so it was very busy. No pictures allowed out of respect for the mummies.

  • 5/5 Elena Z. 1 year ago on Google
This museum is modern and new, it was constructed just a couple of years ago. You can see 22 mummies of ancient pharaohs there which is amazing and scary simultaneously. They lived several thousand years ago, but their remains are still in that museum...

  • 5/5 A.K. R. 1 year ago on Google
Well presented with bullet points information about each royal mummy. The lighting, arrangement and underground environment gives some kind of eerie excitement. Photos not allowed though, even in the mobile phone.

  • 5/5 Mikhail C. 1 year ago on Google
It contains famous faraons' mummies like Ramses 2, Hatshepsut and others. It's not nice view, but give you short information about their life.

  • 5/5 Mohamed S. 1 year ago on Google
Around 22 Mummies are kept. No photographies are allowed. Mummies upto 4000 years old are preserved. A short history about each mummies are kept in English and Arabic.

  • 5/5 Joana S. 1 year ago on Google
Great set-up, feeling like we are in a real tomb. Dark environment, silent, well organized and with information available for each mummy. There is an information before entering that only 20 people are allowed in these galleries at a time but there was no control and there were much more people inside.

  • 5/5 Khadija Y. 1 year ago on Google
An amazing experience. You get to see lots of different mummies, including the mummy of Rameses II which is extremely well preserved. It can get very busy and congested with lots of people, but don't let that deter you. Definitely worth a visit.

Every and each king and queen of Pharoahs with his mummy and his life described

  • 5/5 Reva C. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful presentation of the New Kingdom royal mummies. But make sure to wear a parka for the ECM is kept *very* cold. The time scale of Ancient Egypt blows all other civilizational monuments out of the water, naturally.
