It was a total pleasure staying at this location for over a month. The owners were welcoming and were always ready to help with anything we needed: from ordering food on Talabat, to Nile Cruise recommendations, or just a nice late evening chat. Safe and private rooms with a delicate design that make you feel at home. There is a shared kitchen, but each room has their own shower and toilet. If we ever come back to Cairo we know where we will stay in Downtown.

Helpful and friendly staff, from the front desk to the housekeeper. We paid for what we get and honestly, we came with low expectations but everything worked as it should. Mohammed even offered us Turkish coffee. Thank you for having us. Stayed on November 2022

I've lived in egypt for 6 months and I can genuinely day this is the best hostel hotel in downtown Cairo. The staff are amazingly friendly and open and they are not overbearing or pushy. The rooms are clean and modern plus everything works. The decorations are my favorite that I've seen out of any hotel here. The building itself is from the early 1900s so the rooms are massive with super high ceilings which means they stay cool even when you're not there using the AC. Plus there's a traditional coffee shop downstairs and a sandwich cart with the best tomatoes I've had in all of egypt. My girlfriend and I loved our stay there and we've definitely found our home in cairo. I genuinely don't understand the negative reviews on here. I suspect that, since this is a newer hostel, they're from other hotel owners trying to stomp out their competition.

Wonderful experience and better looking rooms than I expected in a place with such great low rates. I had to stay longer because I was having so much fun I forgot to get my covid test to fly home. They were very helpful get me a tour of the pyramids with a wonderful tour guide. They got me another room when I had to stay later and were the best with directions and helpful tips for my daily excursions. I will stay with them again next time I visit Cairo in the future.

Not great, but cheap. Pro's: - good location in downtown - cheap price - hosts (two brothers) were friendly and helpful -24/7 "reception" Con's: - it's not a hotel, so the "reception" was in front of our room (pretty annoying & loud also during night) - AC was not able to cool down the room - lot of mosquitos!!! - mosque directly next to hostel, so you will be awake at 4am - breakfast was only omlette and some bread + tea If you search for something cheap in a good location, go for it. But if you want some comfort without getting bitten by mosquitos, search for something else.

First of all, the stuff over there is too friendly and nice. They will help you as much as they can. The place it self is downtown, that means it's almost close to everything. The hostel is great in general! I recommended it and I would love to stay there again.

Very nice vintage style hotel. Reminded me of Edwardian homes in the UK. Very high ceilings. Nice small shared kitchen. Toilet provided handwash and disinfectant. Everything you need. Giving it 4 stars coz you don't need mosquitos but receptionist was very helpful in providing us with 2 types of repellants. Was a bit disappointed that we couldn't open the balcony and let natural light in , otherwise we could have got more mosquitos. Plenty of restaurants and cafés. First time trying Sudanese food from a local restaurant - yum yum full tum! Room we had was not suitable for persons who are not a couple as the toilet is a sliding door which doesn't close fully so leaving a gap

Stayed for one night, was hoping to rest, but couldn't sleep all night long fighting with mosquitoes, hands and face covered by bite (stings) 🙄 shower water is not strong, clean enough just in Egyptian opinion, not European (

Me and my friend stayed here for 9 nights and it was wonderful. It is located right in the heart of downtown Cairo and is within walking distance to most of the major tourist attractions, including the metro. The owner was absolutely lovely, and took very good care of us - as 2 young women we also always felt very safe, which is very important to us. All in all, no complaints and very pleased.

The amounts of mosquitos in this place is just insane. Price and location and rooms are good but the amounts of mosquitos and flies are too much.

DIRTY AND NOISY. The room was really dirty. We asked to change at least the cover pillows because those we found, once arrived, were disgusting and not washed, same thing for the blanket. Room noisy, the windows are broken and full of mosquitos. Toilet not clean well. DON’T BOOK ANY TOUR WITH THEM. We booked with them a taxi for Giza and Saqqara. It was overpriced compared to the others in the city but we prefered it, as we were trusting them. Once arrived they brought us to an expensive camel agency and the driver/owner of the hostel and the agency gave us wrong and FALSE INFORMATIONS about the pyramids, deceiving us, to convince us to accept the offer..When we expressed to the driver our disappointment, he didn’t accept what we were saying, so he decided to don’t talk to us anymore. Unprofessional and unfriendly behavior. Egyptian style! they want make money from you as much as possible. Be careful.

Old bedrooms with no AC or adequate ventilation. No separate towels, just one towel in the bathroom for everyone which bloody annoying. Breakfast is mediocre. Good and friendly staff though.

We got the room with a broken window, looks like it's been like that for a long time. They smoke in the lobby. The breakfast is nice. Not really much common areas. The people in reception are very helpful and polite. It's ok for a couple nights

Oh yes, definitely a place to stay in Cairo Downtown. Stayed for 4 nights, solo traveler. Safe. Centered. Handmade decorations all over the hostel. Stylish place. Helpful open-minded stuff. Was no mosquitos for me. Amazing time. Will be back 🧡
