It is a relaxing place, is also a good opportunity to walk aside the river or to seat on a bench to behold the Nile flow. There is a beautiful mural painted by a Mexican muralist showing a kind of encounter between Egyptian and Aztec cultures. It is also possible to ship in a short ramble through the river in a small boat or having some meal for there is a restaurant. It is a good option to relax and spending tranquil time.

Well, I am biased. Some of my best childhood memories are in this place. Great garden maybe not as it used to be but still marvelous. The view from the upper terrace onto the base garden is great and so is the Nile view.

Historic garden with lovely statues..nice green area..a place where you can take your breakfast or lunch enjoying the scenes of greenery & the Nile, but you have to get your food from outside, there is only one cafeteria no good food the person's in charge of it have no idea of how to serve , the bathrooms are terribly dirty

There is not really a lot to see here. It's quite and pretty clean, but it costs something to go in (40 EGP or so), and if you decide to sit down, you'll be asked by somebody to buy something (which will be hilariously overpriced). The pretty large concrete area you see in the pictures was closed off when I visited. So ... visit if you'd like some green, but maybe don't stay too long.

Note that the Andalous park is closed for repairs .However there is this small park overlooking the nile right beside it . From where you can take a boat trip along the nile . Of course it's not as magestic as the Andalous park but it'a cheap way to have a romantic sitting for young lovers😉

I was here in late November and early December and this was always closed. The park looked ok and you could see gardeners at times but no idea why it was closed. Annoying as it looked very nice. Please update listing as to what is going on.

This park was established by Muhammad Bey Zulfiqar, General 1935, at the end of the reign of King Fuad the First, which was built on two acres and consisted of two parts. The southern part is called the Arab Paradise Garden and it is similar to the Arab Andalusian gardens located in southern Spain. It is called the Pharaonic Garden, and it was decided to include the park in the list of Islamic and Coptic monuments (Original)

Easily a five star review. This is a beautifully maintained park. The playground is top notch and features a nice soft rubberized surface. The bathrooms could use an update, but they're clean. They DO NOT have changing tables. There is a nice pavilion, garbage cans, lots of grills (at least 8). There's a water fountain for fresh water and a hiking path, that we didn't get a chance to walk. The people were all very friendly and the children were well mannered. I didn't see any graffiti or garbage anywhere. There's plenty of parking too.

The southern part is called the Arab Paradise Garden and it is similar to the Arab Andalusian gardens located in southern Spain and contains perennial trees such as the “Adi” tree Which is more than 70 years old, and the northern part is called the Pharaonic Garden, and it was decided to include the park in the list of Islamic and Coptic monuments. Garden descriptionedit The southern part is characterized by the presence of a josuq (a canopy built on double columns bearing Andalusian arches bearing the roof), which is full of Andalusian Arabic geometric and plant motifs, and in the center of the josec is a statue of Ahmed Bey Shawki, Prince of the Poets from the sculpture of the example Mahmoud Mukhtar, and this canopy is located at the northern end of this garden The statue faces from the extension of the park to the south, and immediately following the statue are five statues in the form of lions from which the water emerges into a low rectangular pool in the middle of the garden containing two marble fountains, and the pool is surrounded on each side on the four sides by eight rising terraces planted with grass and in the four corners, ascending corridors paved with marble and mosaics Imported from Italy and Turkey, it leads to the upper level of the garden, which consists of two corridors paved with polychrome marble and ceramics, and the two corridors define two rows of trees, and on the four sides are marble benches to sit adjacent to the iron garden wall built over stone sessions, and the decks are separated by marble pots containing the phrase "There is no winner but God It is the slogan of the Aghlabids who ruled Morocco and Andalusia. This is followed to the south by a part of the garden that contains an octagonal marble fountain, in the middle of which is a marble column surrounded by eight black statues from which water spouts. And surrounded by the corners of the outer octagon eight marble frogs from which the water emerged, and on the sides of the fountain were two wooden pergolas, followed by royal palms, and garden paths were paved with polychrome tiles. As for the Pharaonic Garden, it is located in the northern part, on its southern side, a Pharaonic gate, with a model statue of the Sheikh of the country facing the garden, in which the royal palms and other trees are spread and spread in the sides of the Pharaonic garden models of various Pharaonic statues (Original)
