The fries took 40 minutes to arrive, and were not particularly good. The toilet doesnt have paper. But the real surprise was the bill. The total of 6 items we ordered totaled around 350 EGP, they added 26% extra as tax and service charge, totalling 420 EGP. Then they wrote 1420 EGP on the bottom and kept insisting that thats the correct amount Thats 340% of the actual bill. Only by adding things one by one on the calculator after a lenghty debate did they take the 1 off from the start.

The most important shopping area dated back to more than thousand years ago with it's alleys and hand made staff but you need to practice some bargain when you shop. For me I go there for coffee and smell the aroma of the history.

Good market for souvenirs from Egypt ,lots of pharaoh items of course all replicate nothing is original, however you can still find some T Shirt 👕 that all 100% Egyptian cotton ,carpet,Kleems and many other items that one can choose from ,full of things to be given as gifts. Prices can be very high if one does not hackles with them ,in a normal circumstances one can get anything you wish for for less than the price given by the shop workers
