👍 Very nice Nile view, very tasty food.. Pasta was super yummi, tried it once plain, and other with chicken and mushrooms, both were tasty. Tried turkey midnight sandwich perfect, side potato chips was super, crunchy and very light. Good and friendly service and staff. Bit pricey. The place is worthy of a 5 star review, however I’m removing two stars because their staff ruined the experience in the end. The food was great, the milkshakes not so much. We visited during Ramadan and it was open at 4pm. Great views of the Nile guaranteed. Sadly, they seem to be forcing 5 star reviews (which is not needed as I was going to give them 5 stars anyway). They brought us a chocolate croissant “on the house” in exchange for a great review. They actually stood up next to me and wouldn’t leave us alone till I post the review (I didn’t in the end). That made us feel awkward, and ruined the experience.

The place is not at the expected level, very noisy, food doesn't have any taste, order was delayed, place is not clean, at least inside you will get the feeling that you are at a street food level. Do not recommend !

Any place overlooking the Nile has bonus for sure. Everything is average. The coffee was ok but the zaatar croissant was soggy and oily. The seats are uncomfortable and small. My friend took the healthy banana pan cake and she liked it. Check took ages to come. Not worth another visit.

Best Lotus Milkshake i have ever had. (Photo was taken after I tasted it) But Service is not so good. Update: I visited this place again for breakfast, everything was super nice. Service was very good and the breakfast was so delicious. We ordered Eggs Florentine and salmon rolls both were super delicious.

It was an unpleasant experience, they don’t follow the covid19 precautions; most of the waiters not wearing masks, we waited for more than an hour to be seated in the terrace and the waiter was rude and not cooperating...food was average except for the burned potato chips that the waiter didn’t agree to replace..time and money waste.

(Translated by Google) The place is wonderful on the Nile, the food is not very sweet, to be honest, and the price is expensive for two pills (Original) المكان روووعه على النيل الاكل مش حلو قوي بصراحه و السعر غالي حبتين

Cosy by-the-nile dinner experience that's very family friendly. It's very unique in a sense that you don't feel like you're sitting with others like most other restaurants here locally, but rather you get your own exclusive environment where you feel involved with the people you're sitting with. The food service was decently fast, and the food was delicious with quite an experience. Their pina colada is extraordinary and it's the best in town no doubt. However, the food did get cold quickly as the summer fans were blowing away on our food. The atmosphere was a bit hot as they didn't have AC's on. Overall 9/10 experience. Definitely recommended to visit again!

View was exceptional and waiters were very nice. Chicken was crispy but the pasta was horrible and not cooked well.

We were first sat in the indoor area as there was a waiting list for the outdoor area with the Nile view. There were some empty tables outside but unfortunately they didn’t have any shades and I feel like that’s some wasted potential for the place and they could cover them for people to enjoy the view. The staff members were very nice and welcoming. When I said that I didn’t like my coffee, they changed it right away without any further questions. I got a cheddar cheese omelet on toast with a hash brown and salad as side dishes and I have no complaint for any of the elements. My friend got pouched eggs and she loved them as well. The overall atmosphere of the place is very chill. Perfect for a late calm breakfast or brunch. The prices are average for such a quality in such a spot.

Tasty food, large portions, flawless service but no booze. Ended up here looking for the famous Sequoia restaurant, which unfortunately no longer exists. However, shortly after the taxi driver dropped us here, we learned that the former classy Sequoia has been replaced by the Biota complex, a group of restaurants lined up by the river. Maat is the first restaurant on the left side after entrance and it was the most busy during our visit. Received plastic cutleries, just like in a fast food joint. However, the food was delicious - I ordered the beef club sandwich, delivered with crispy chips. It was a pity not to match such delicacy with a glass of wine. The coffee was also on point. The service, assured by waiter Waleed, was flawless. The main downside, however, is the no alcohol policy.

The location is just perfect. The food is average but portions are so so small and very overpriced. The drinks are better tho! I liked the vanilla cappuccino and the pistachio Arabic mastic shake. The staff are friendly but slow. Overall I like it.

If you’re looking for a yummy Nepotalian pizza go there. 😍 I miss all beeja restaurants I hope they reopen soon. (The staff aren’t friendly with the tables) you see an empty table by the nile and they keep saying it’s reserved while nobody really shows up. The view is breathtaking

The food is quite mediocre. The stuffed baked potatoes are barely baked - very hard to eat with too much beef inside. The layered eggplants are burnt from the outside and raw from the inside. I used to come here when it was Left Bank and it was way better than that! What a loss! Update: the manager handled the situation very professionally on the spot and offered to serve us a replacement. He took those two plates out of the cheque and offered complementary dessert. Very appreciative of the reaction from the restaurant.

Having traveled to and around Egypt multiple times I can hands down say this was the best meal I have had. I had breakfast with a mix of oriental and western food, each dish was perfectly created with amazing taste and presentation. The service was impeccable and the view/location perfect overlooking the Nile.

Great ambience and great service - the waiters are almost overly nice. Food was average, good but nothing wow. We ordered the chicken pie, the cannelloni, the rigatoni and chocolate fudge cake. Portions are on the small side, and overpriced, but I guess we're paying for the view. Staff ensures that the customer is satisfied.

Ambiance: The view is very nice specially in the morning. Service: Waiters are very nice and attentive Hygiene: The place looked clean and neat. Food: The 3 starts are mainly due to the quality of ingredients, the cheese and butter specifically tasted very cheap, artificial and of a very low grade. We were 5 people ordered 4 different breakfast plates, we decided to skip dessert because we were concerned about the quality. I would only come back for a drink but not for food at all.

My family and I were warmly welcomed into the place when we clearly asked for a table for 6 people overlooking the Nile for only coffee and drinks. We were seated in an indoor table and were promised a table outdoors as soon as possible. The waiter was rushing us into ordering before getting our preferred table, so we ordered 6 total drinks. The waiter then says that it is a restaurant and we had to order at least 1 dessert each! I told him that we were full from eating at another restaurant, and that we only wanted to have coffee and drinks, so he calls the manager. The manager comes in and says we either order dessert or leave, claiming that the system doesn’t accept a bill of only drinks, so we left. On our way out, the receptionist of Biota asked why we left so early, we told him about MAAT’s “policy” then he insisted to take us back, and talked to the manager. Minutes later we got our coffee and drinks, but of course, we were never granted a table outdoors as promised. They gave a table to a group of girls instead who came in half an hour after we did. The place is okay, however very unprofessional and greedy staff. They also refused to give us a copy of the receipt, I had to take a photo with my phone. Very unpleasant experience, never back again.
