Wakba
al-Saleh
Najm
al-Din
Ayoub
School
or
the
Salihiya
School,
one
of
the
most
famous
buildings
of
ancient
Cairo,
was
built
in
641
AH,
1243-1244
AD.
This
good
school
was
established
by
the
noble
king
of
Egypt
from
the
sultans
of
the
Ayyubid
state.
It
was
built
on
a
part
of
the
area
occupied
by
the
Fatimid
Grand
Palace
and
completed
in
641
AH
corresponding
to
1243/44
AD.
It
consisted
of
two
buildings,
one
of
them
tribal.
The
two
buildings
included
two
parallel
lines,
one
east
and
the
other
western,
a
description
of
the
cell
on
both
sides.
The
two
buildings
are
separated
by
a
corridor
located
at
the
western
end
of
the
entrance
to
the
school.
Which
runs
in
the
middle
of
the
minaret.
This
destination
still
retains
its
architectural
details.
It
is
divided
to
the
right
of
the
entrance
and
its
left
to
a
few
rows
of
gorges.
The
windows
are
covered
with
cairns
that
are
covered
by
a
wide
range
of
monuments,
topped
by
heavy
contracts
whose
decorations
varied
and
varied.
Here,
the
first
time
in
this
destination
seems
to
be
the
phenomenon
of
opening
the
lower
windows
after
being
seen
at
the
highest
destinations
in
the
mosques
such
as
the
Grand
Mosque
Amr
ibn
al-Aas
and
Mosque
Ahmed
Ibn
Tulun
and
others.
It
was
designed
by
the
decoration
of
the
entrance
and
its
beautification.
It
took
many
of
its
decorative
elements
from
the
two
sides
of
Al-Akmar
and
Al-Salih
universities.
The
minaret
starts
at
the
top
of
the
entrance
square
to
the
round
and
then
octagonal
showing
its
sides,
a
row
covered
by
decades
of
open
openings
with
contracts
in
the
form
of
leaves.
The
octagon
covers
a
ribbed
dome
with
its
base
with
openings
in
the
form
of
plant
leaves,
also
topped
by
prominent
gears.
This
minaret
represents
most
of
the
minarets
that
were
established
in
the
late
7th
and
early
8th
centuries
-
the
thirteenth
and
the
first
fourteenth
centuries
-
before
they
developed
into
their
familiar
style
that
spread
throughout
Egypt.
This
school
is
divided
into
two
sections
divided
by
the
neighborhood
of
Salhia,
which
is
above
the
entrance
to
two
contracts
linking
the
school's
lattice
and
holds
these
two
minarets,
and
not
left
of
the
southern
section
today,
but
the
western
front,
which
is
connected
to
the
northern
section
through
these
two
nodes
referred
to
them,
and
there
is
a
part
of
the
ceiling
immediately
following
the
entrance
covered
The
northern
section
is
still
the
rest
of
the
northern
façade,
and
the
East
and
West
Ewan
has
destroyed
most
of
the
eastern
Iwan
vault
and
there
is
only
the
beginning
of
the
Iwan
contract.
The
mausoleum
is
located
in
the
northeast
of
Iwan
al-Malkiyya
for
the
Salihya
School,
and
its
façade
has
two
pedestals,
one
of
which
is
prominent.
There
is
a
decoration
of
mold
that
adorns
the
entire
facade
until
the
beginning
of
the
school
and
is
similar
to
that
of
the
Mosque
of
Al-Akmar.
In
the
center
of
the
niches
there
are
circles
and
the
top
of
the
façade.
There
are
serrated
or
mounted
rivets,
and
the
height
up
to
the
rivets
is
11.35
meters.
In
the
lower
part
of
the
broken
craters,
the
middle
windows
are
wider.
