Worst experience for our trip in Cairo by far. The hotel is wonderful but this place had mediocre food and terrible wine but your bill will come out to $100+ USD. Our king scallops were barely the size of regular scallops. This is an insane cost for this region. We went to other restaurants that were 5x better for a fifth of the price if not less. To not be completely negative, our waiter was friendly and their “potted” bread was cool

We’ve watched as this place has slowly degraded over the years and it is very disappointing. It used to be the best steak you could have in town when I first moved to Egypt 5 years ago. It was a world-class steakhouse by any standard. My partner and I would go there for dates on special occasions, about 2 or 3 times a year every year since we moved (because we love steak but we had to mind the budget). Now…I had no issues treating ourselves every once in a while, even though this place is SO friggin expensive compared to amazing steakhouses in Europe and North America. But I have a serious issue paying 3000-5000LE for a meal that is barely edible (depending on whether you’re going to have a bottle of wine). We went there for my birthday this year and it was officially our last time there ever. The quality just kept getting worse and worse. We explained to the chef and manager that this is not the quality that we had initially come for, and they admitted that a couple of things have changed before and since their renovation, including the way they season and cook their steak. We left our plates behind and told them we did not want to eat it. There was no steak crust or Maillard reaction - and it was cooked medium-well instead if medium-rare. They tried to make it up to us with a stupid leftover slice of cake that was clearly over-dressed with whipped cream and chocolate syrup to compensate for its blandness, even though we explicitly told them we did not want it. We did not touch it. They did not once offer to re-cook our steak, even though I showed him the centre. They did not refund us or give us a discount or tried to retain our custom whatsoever, even though we didn’t eat the steaks! Just a stupid old slice of cake. What a joke. Thankfully, I found an amazing butcher who knows how to source and cut good meat, bought myself a nice Le Creuset cast iron griddle for a fraction of the price of their meal, and I now make amazing steaks at home. Never again!

Food is okay, but there are quality issue . Their steak meat was tough and not fresh so that all the stubborn part was stuck in my tooth. Quality is not that high with high price. * I regret that I chose medium rare. However, only one positive thing is that they have alcohol. That is all. Service is good but they don't expect that their tough steak should be left between theeth so they don't provide toothpick. Mood is good but not best In conclusion, I better to go to sizzler or chillis or TGI than I come visit here again.

One of the best steak restaurants in Egypt 🔥 Food was amazing! Steak was high grade and fresh. We tried the New York fillet and the BBQ short rib - both were amazing. For choice of sides, we chose sweet potato fries and mac&cheese. We also had the Creme Brulee for dessert which you must try!! For drinks we tried the Strawberry Fizz mocktail which i would also recommend. You do receive complementary bread and butter but don't be tempted to have more than a few bites as the food portions are quite big and you could easily get full. It is pricey though 👎 Staff atmosphere was great. Overall would certainly recommend as a treat 💯

This is an edit for my original post, I gave it 5 stars and I unfortunately have to say that their quality and service has been extremely awful of the years, It used to be my top favorite steak house destination, last visit to Egypt, I took a friend there and the waiter was so ignorant, he literally made fun of me when I was asking about the types of salt, they burnt the steak twice! The salad was rotten, the meat was very poor and I believe they stopped serving Rib Eyes, the price is very expensive with no value at all! An awful experience and I doubt I’ll ever go there again, I would recommend anywhere but the JW! Don’t go there!

Writing this while I am still exploring the taste of this amazing steak' last bite. Haven't had an amazing steak' in the longest time. Melting in your mouth as soon as you put it in and you just want to enjoy it to the last bit. Hands down, best!

The best experiences are those that aren't planned. 🙄 One of the most worth paying places.😎 The atmosphere is just so neat and calm, you get to be welcomed by a very welcoming, elegant people, Houssam was our guy for the night. 🤩 After recommending some of the signature dishes, you'd be sure that it's worth it 💪🏼 We started with the french onion soup and the very unique JW steakhouse salad, so fresh and mouthwatering 🤤 The steak was on another level, it literally melts in your mouth.. It's just the most tastiest meat I've ever tasted in Egypt so far! Personal recommendation: try it with pepper & mushroom sause with grilled veggies and mashed potato 🥩 Chef Ahmed was passionally asking about our feedback as he visited our table. 👨‍🍳 If you like wine, you need to get the red "chateau Granville", it's absolutely the best🍷 To end up your meal, get some sweet tooth with the creme brûlée 🍮 10/10 experience, though it's a bit expensive, yet it's a must try! ❤️

Honestly - hugely disappointing! Beyond their own staff not understanding where they can serve food (while kids aren’t allowed in the restaurant, you CAN order from the bar area directly outside!!) ALL of their aged meats were out of stock - and of the 2 steaks we got (porterhouse and sirloin) the sirloin was borderline inedible. It was cold and tough - and literally not worth finishing (see photo of the 1/2 that was left). The porterhouse was ok - but not the quality and taste you’d expect from a steakhouse. The waiter was nice and apologized - but there is no way we’d eat here again. We frankly had a better steak at the Italian restaurant upstairs last week! I’d suggest somewhere else if you’re looking for a good steak.

Went there for a birthday event, and the setting and ambiance of the restaurant couldn’t have been any better. This is the ultimate fine dining experience that you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. From the moment you step in, you’re treated like royalty. We skipped appetizers, and went straight for our main courses. We ordered the lamb shank and BBQ short ribs, and they were truly cooked to perfection. The food was full of flavor and rich ingredients. They may want to step up their food presentation game, but it definitely wasn’t a deal breaker. They’re EXPENSIVE, so be ready to break the bank. Otherwise, I’d like to personally thank our wait staff (Amr & Kamel). They were friendly and super knowledgeable of everything on the menu.

I love this place I am driving from التجمع الخامس to there minimum times a week they are carrying about every single detail also food is really delicious also I can visit them morning noon and at night whatever I enjoyed my time there, they are very friendly too

I can say that i had a very special dinning experience in this luxurious restaurant. I had the feeling that i was in a steak house in New York. The service is outstanding and very friendly. As an appetizer we've ordered the shrimps cocktail..it was good. for main course.. The Angus rib eye was very well cooked, I've ordered it medium well and was juicy, delicious..just perfect with veggies and buttered mashed potatoes. very pricey but in my opinion..it worth it cuz it's not just like other Steak house. if you wish for a classy delicious dinner...i would highly recommend it.
