Since the opening, the bridge of 6 October has been the most important street of the capital, but also of the whole state. From the bridge, the wonderful panoramas open onto the sights of Cairo. The tourists have a unique opportunity to see the beautiful mosques and churches from the new viewpoint and to observe the busy streets of Cairo from the height.

The park Hadiqah el Gazira is a calm and lovely place. You can go for an outing there, specially in the evening. A little place but so beautiful.

The 6th October Bridge is a pedestrian bridge and elevated highway in central Cairo that spans the River Nile twice. About half a million people in Cairo use the bridge on a daily basis and my goodness it's busy virtually all the time. The bridge is of a girder design and designed more for functionality than aesthetics. It's an impressive feat of engineering, but not much to look at night or day. The road is so busy I only walked on it for a bit before deciding it just wasn’t worth the effort.

A bridge in Cairo over Nile. Although parking is not allowed there but you can park elsewhere and walk up the bridge to view the activity in the fabled river. There are several towering buildings and hotels on either side. Also, a number of floating restaurants in the river. Old ships have been docked there permanently and converted into restaurants. It is a pleasure to be there on a windy evening when it's nice and cool.

The bridge is very big and connected with international airport. Now, about this piece of bridge, there is a lot of traffic but you can walk also to go at the other side.

This is a historical bridge over the river Nile, which connects the businesses and old cities of Cairo. It looks beautiful both during the day and at night.

The bridge is an icon of Nile River and it connects the main business and economic of both sides. Strolling on foot along through bridge is relaxing and entertaining.

Nice and extended bridge. It links between Al Dokki at Giza and Nasr City at Cairo. Also has an extension deliver to the Moshair road to reach New Cairo. But usually crowded.

Bridge is beautiful at night but too full of trash visible in the daylight. It is the link between the bank of river Nile and Ghezira Island. It is my regular crossing spot whenever I want to visit Tahrir Sq.

It serves an important function as it cuts above cairo from outer nasr city to Azouza. But it is always crowded on the same 2 or 3 spots at certain times. This bring its function to a poor level. I would use it before 8 AM and after 10 PM

Nile City. Very Nice restaurants inside. Great for the location. If it’s a special occasion, you may want to go to new Cairo’s Chili’s though.

It connects the east and west banks of the Nile River, usually congested but fun to walk on and enjoy the gentle breeze over the Nile.

I love this bridge it is not far from my apartment. It's symbolic as it refers to victory of the Egyptian army in the sixth of October War in 1973. The bridge facilitates driving down town.

You will learn to live with it. It's strategic and connects mohandessin/dokki to heliopolis but your patience will be challenged when it's crowded.

Long vehicle bridge crossing the River Nile to connect Giza Governorate to Cairo Governorate and extending above ground eastward to Nasr City. Fast traffic route most of the time. Could be jammed in some parts during rush hours.
