This hostel is the most horrible place, after confirming to us that he had our reservation, the moment I showed up with an elderly mom and a minor the owner said he never got the reservation that it was expedia fault. He threw us out to the street. Once I had contacted expedia and informed them regarding the situation and canceled requesting a refund, He started emailing me saying sorry for his mistake. He gave our room to someone else who was staying more nights in front of me and made fun of my situation ,he intended to keep what I had paid. Please book somewhere else.

Great Location, Lovely Staff, Value for money, super comfortable stay. Liked · 1. Very comfortable extra large single beds with privacy curtain, lights, lockers and sockets for each bed. 2. Helpful staff, doing their best to help you out. 3. Located about a 15min walk from Tahrir Square. Lot of shops and markets around, if anything is needed. 4. 12-15beds in the room but everyone is quite and most of them friendly. 5. Excellent breakfast included. 6. Lovely shower/bathroom and kitchen with all facilities included. Disliked · 1. Wifi in the room plays up a bit but if you are at the door or in the lobby it is super fast. 2. Can be hard to find using Google maps though there is a small board outside on the building. 3. Staff and customers smoking inside the lobby is a turn off, if you are a non smoker

The hostel staff were racial and so offensive, I felt they were unwelcoming. Beside when I arrived I was surprised that shared accommodation aren't for those come from Arabian Counties, and had to take the most expensive room 🤬

After looking for very long, we reserved for 9 nights through hostelworld (our reservation was confirmed), KMT told us that they didn't receive it and now we don't have a place to stay. KMT didn't try to help and just told us to talk to hostelworld, who we cannot reach today. Now we quickly have to look for a new place and everything is very expensive, I am very disappointed that KMT didn't try to find a solution together with us and basically left us on the street.

This hostel looks nice. But person who accommodated us did not gave us the receipt or any invoice and was hard to deal anything like breakfast time or where is what. We book this via booking. com and we had to pay in Hostel by cash. After we came at home I get message from booking that hostel doesn't know anything about us and told the booking that we didn't come and didn't pay for accommodation. So be aware and ask this hostel for invoice when you pay!

Very nice hostel, but alittle bit far from tahrir (13 min walk) room is very nice and clean, the only problem is there is no sound proof on the doors, you can hear everything happens at the hall... Other than that it is really nice, and would love to come back again

I stayed in the shared room which has three level bunk beds and ended up having to sleep on the highest level. The loose ladder they put in just fell off while I was going up and luckily I didn't have to go to the hospital. There are better hostel options for the same price in the city.

Great shuttle service from the airport. I had a nightmare flight and was super late but the driver waited patiently for me to arrive and get a SIM card! Ahmed was not only a great host during my stay but continued as I travelled on to Dahab! He'll happily sort you a reasonably priced tour etc! I had a double room, super clean, nice room. Breakfast was nice. The hostel is super close to the Egyptian Museum! Highly recommended! Will go back if I find myself in Cairo again!

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed in! The owner is a complete scammer. The hotel is really old and dirty. I was being bite by bedbugs at night. The owner cancelled our reservation right after we left ( making our reservation a no show) so we don’t get an opportunity to leave to leave ratings. The owner also demands all payments must be made in usd and lies that that the credit card machine is broken.

The place is a bit difficult to find as the name wasn't anywhere written in the building. We had taken a bedroom and the room had high walls and was neatly kept. The washroom had all the amenities one can think of. The balcony was very calm and serene. We loved the hotel but unfortunately couldn't stay more than a day due to pre-planned schedules. The breakfast was served in the room and it had Egyptian breads, eggs and tahini and other sauces. Overall I would suggest people to halt by if they are looking for a place in downtown.

Everything in this hostel is good especially cleaning and service unfortunately I had a room quite small for two people, the location is good downtown you can catch taxi or metro to move around in busy Cairo city. The entrance of this hostel situated in small Alley which is old building ,second floor where you can find a reception area. KMT Auberge a Tous Les conformes. necessaire quality bon surtout aux niveau proprete et service, malheuresement j'ai eu une chambre UN peux trop petite pour deux personnes. Kmt se trouve juste dans une petite ruelle situe dans UN immeuble ancien Au 2eme etage se trouve la reception.

Arrived in the morning, booked and talked to them before day of arrival and days ago and they still overbook my rooms (we were a group). They kept us there one hour “searching” for the reservation that they cancelled when we arrived. Avoid it if you don’t want to be sleepless.

Beware: the hostel is foreigners only, you will be denied as an Egyptian or Arab ( hello racism). It’s weird that only Cairo hostels do this, and it’s weirder to be this discriminatory against your own people.

I like the room because so quite and good to have rest here. Staff must improve there attitude. They must have the healthy breakfast. I don't like there breakfast food.For foreigners they must change the breakfast menu.

It is a perfect and unique place which you can easily feel safe and comfort in it. Rooms is clean,sunny, wide enough with separate bathroom, TV and mini refrigerator included. The most factor we appreciate most is the owner (Ahmed) and the stuff, they are very decent , respectable and friendly. I am enjoying my stay and it is hard to have all these advantages together with affordable price in one place like"KMT hostel " which I honestly and highly recommend.

Great attitude towards customers and willing to help on any conditions Very clean and value for money 💰 and it's in a prime location to get taxis and ease to move all attractions I have checked out for solo and happy to have with family next time

Excellent hospitality by all staff members who are friendly and eager to make you feel at home, even those that cannot speak your language make sincere effort. Though situated in downtown area, one quickly learns is as safe as any, all the people in the immediate area are friendly and helpful. Once inside the place, KMT is squecky clean and very well kept at high standards. Breakfast is very basic, but Its cheap enough to pay extra for your individual requirements. Be sure to arrange it day before. Anything you ask will be arranged, and you are very well supported and looked after. Huge Thank you to the team at KMT for looking after me and making my stay in Cairo a memorable one. WELL DONE KMT. :-) i can definitely recommend it.

The place is super cozy and comfortable!! the staff was very friendly and kind, they even helped me find a place to eat and to exchange money. the location is awesome, close to the metro and the center itself. Everything is super clean. Anyway, a great place to stay in Cairo!!

Great place for a solo traveler, it's a medium size room and it has all the amenities like shampoo, shower gel, hot water, nice shower head n a small but deep tub, there's a small fridge, air conditioner, an elevator, good mattress, overall it's an excellent stay in the center of the city for the price! The host is very helpful too!🤗 I will definitely stay here again!!!

My staying in KMT is wonderful. The best place I could had found in Egypt. I have been living here for 5 months and I cannot complain about anything. It's clean, it has a kitchen fully equipped and it's very welcoming the environment itself. Ahmed the owner is the sweetest person I could've met here. Recomendo KMT demais. Não irão se arrepender.

after some hard experiences in Cairo, I had the best accomodation in KMT Hostel. I stayed there for 2 months, it is very clean, organized and the owner Ahmed is amazing, helped me a lot! The place is in downtown, close to everything like restaurants, metro station, bus stops.

Great host that went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. Took his time to show me around town and help me with some shopping without getting hustled. Would definitely stay at this hostel again and would recommend it to everyone.

A very nice place to stay. It is very close to city centre activities. The accommodation is neat with Mohammed being very diligent with his duties. Both staff and customers smoke within the facility so may not be a nice place for non-smokers.

We had a reservation for 6 persons and messaged to them on booking that we will arrive later at 4 am in the morning. The problem is that the guy from the reception didn’t want to give us the room cause “he can’t find the reservation”. We asked to open the message with the conversation, but he didn’t want to. So basically we had to find at 4 am in the morning another accommodation. Very disappointed!! We definitely not recommend this accommodation! Disaster!

They cheat the customer, demand more money and say this is business! Don't give receipt if paying cash.. Do not give the owner's phone or email. does not have a caretaker named Ahmed!
