Loved it! Great and affordable. The ordering was a little challenging for us Americans, but we expected that. The staff were very helpful, even though they didn’t really speak English. This place lived up to the hype; I’m craving it now 🤤

Love the food, all dishes we ordered are very good. The free pickled onions and carrots are surprisingly refreshing with a twist of lime. There are queues formed by locals for both the takeaway counters and the upstairs seating area, seem to be worth the hype.

I have been eating in kazaz restaurant for almost 10 years and the quality of this place really never changes for the less, it’s getting better and better. It offers dine-in services and takeaway, the food i always super hot,fresh and tasty 😋. It has also clean toilets for men and women in the second floor. You can find the menus and prices here in my review and also photos for the food. This time i ordered beans with olive oil, cheese with tomato and fried cheese and all were very tasty.

So many options, so hard to select. But maybe not since they seem to do all so well. We had the mixed Sharwarma and Moussaka. Tasty and good value.

Came here due to the high count of reviews averaging more than 4.0. Was very crowded but wait for a seat is less than 5 minutes at about 2pm. Seating space upstairs is quited limited. Tried their lamb fattah and dolma. Dolma is stuffed vege with rice. The rice is a bit spicy. Pretty good. Portion is quite large. The lamb fattah is one of the most expensive on the menu at 364EGP. The lamb is generous with lots of rice. The meat is a bit dry and wish that it could be a bit more tender. Service is fast and friendly.

The food was absolutely amazing and the portions are big as well. We had many things of the menu and all was fresh and up to high standard. The service is fast and they speak English. One of the best local fast food in downtown Egypt. The food is delicious and the prices are affordable, they always make good offers. The only reservation I have is that they do not make orders automatically, you have to hand the receipt to the chef in order to start preparing and get a place in the queue.

Didn't try any meal there. I can't stay in coz the air doesn't smell nice. The sandwiches are good though. It's our gang ritual to have mesa3a and fol sandwiches every time we pass it + they have really great fries.

They have variety of food choices and they are tasty (little bit oily) But the service is very slow and not well organized. We have to ask several times and wait for over 20 mins to get our food. Each time when we ask, it made us confused when we are going to get food.

Great and cheap local, Egyptian fast food to take away. It’s always packed, so the food is always fresh. You have to order and pay first from the counter (there are English menu brochures) and then take the receipts to the different counters (falafel, chicken,...) you can have it delivered also for a small fee.

Nice restaurant to enjoy some Egyptian food. We tried the Beef Shawerma Syrian and it was pretty good.

Delicious shawarmas, soups , grills and broasts. The portions and salads are very generous and lipsmacking Very crowded during weekends and average wait times.

We ate here twice during our stay in Cairo and really enjoyed both meals. The restaurant is casual and full of locals, but we found the staff to be very welcoming and had an english menu which they patiently explained to us. We loved everything we ate there! Top tip: there was a long queue outside both times we ate there but we eventually realised that was for takeaway. If you just walk inside you'll see a set of stairs which if you go up you'll be seated straight away in the main restaurant.

One of the best places to eat around Tahrir Square area. It is not a coincidence to meet many locals and tourists at the same time. Super wide menu (translated) + great service + tasty/cheap food. Enjoy.

Absolute amazing value for money. Really good food for a cheap price. We had the chicken panne sandwich. Lots of moist crunchy chicken in a soft bread roll. Very tasty. We also tried the Mexican chicken sandwich, good but the crunchy chicken panne was better. A busy place with a fast turn over. So everything is fresh. No seating at all so we stood outside. We were disappointed to receive our sandwiches in polystyrene trays and carried in a plastic bag. I really think it's plastic overkill. Please consider saying no to single use plastic in here.

Very convenient for a quick bite in downtown.

Meh... I've had great takeaway from them before, so we decided to eat there. They never brought most of our food (and yet tried to charge us for it). I will probably get takeaway again, but the service in the restaurant was lacking.

It's Okay, that's all what I can say about the food. We have ordered Kofta Sandwich, it wasn't that good at all. Hawashi, it was nicely grilled and tasted good. And a fries backet, it was okay. The prices were affordable and the order took around 15 mins to be ready for pick up.

Don't panic when you see the crowd for take out in the street, just go upstairs to eat in. I went at 15h and it was still almost full, but you won't have much trouble to find a table. Our hotel staff recommended this place for a quick dinner after we landed in Cairo. The menu is in Arabic but we managed just fine. This particular location you order on the street level floor counter and head down to pick up your food. Maybe we didn’t understand the system but we waited for about 15-20 minutes for the food, not a huge deal to us at all. You need to give your receipt to the cooks in the lower level to get your food, but everyone was waiting. Since we clearly looked confused, a very kind local that spoke English helped us. As this isn’t a touristy spot but rather a popular local favorite, know you’ll have to get by on your own as far as ordering and pick up because the staff don’t speak English or the ones we encountered. The food we ordered was shawarma and chicken style sandwiches and were absolutely delicious! They came with a coke. The meat was so well prepared. And the portions of the sandwich box we ordered were more than enough for two very hungry people. The box also came with crisps, which were very good. We did take out but there is very limited street seating. Highly recommend visiting this spot if you are staying in or near Tahrir square.
