Lovely rooftop cafe lounge/bar. Be aware that breakfast is served until 11am and then the kitchen does not prepare food from the menu until 3pm. There are several signs about that inform you of the 100egp minimum spend per person. We went for lunch and had the Caesar salad and 150g burger, both were very good but the salad had little chicken. Miester Max was lovely and cold and 100egp after tax and service. The menu looks reasonably priced for the venue, which is well kept and peaceful. We were the only people there on a Friday afternoon. The whole place has a lovely feel about it, even the old dark wood reception of the hotel downstairs, has it's charm. There is an old piano and a billiards table inside. The toilets are well kept and very clean. Background music is good, which is hard to find in Egypt, normally it is far too loud but here it was perfect. There was plenty of shade and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. If you wish, you can pay by visa. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Beautiful old historic hotel rooftop lounge. Was a calm oasis in the middle of the city with a lovely view.

Let's start with the positive. It's a nice rooftop in the La Genevoise building - very close to Nasser metro station. And alcohol is served, if you care about it. Service is attentive and fast (when they don't forget your order). Food is beyond awful. Toasted stale bread that costs 2$, salad made of raw onions only, mezzes straight out of the tin. And it's expensive on top of it. I don't know why it is so popular with tourists and expats - there are other rooftops around, there are other places with beer, and there are much much much better places to eat in Cairo.

Disappointed with everything there, the staff is rude and unprofessional, food wasn’t good the pasta wasn’t cooked and it was very salty. The check had items which we didn’t order and they wanted to make us pay extra. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it Also I requested an uber before leaving and I couldn’t describe the route to him because it’s very complicated and I asked the waiter to tell me anything so I can tell to the uber driver and he looked me up and down and said I don’t know and left. It’s not worth the hassle or money so don’t go there it’s not worth anything.

Beer bar at the open air terrace, luxurious views to the Hilton Hotel, Cairo Tower and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. When it's hot, presumably in the daytime, you can get the same under the roof and air-conditioned. A la carte menu, Stella bottle 63 L.E. plus taxes.

Somehow felt the manager is rude. Was attending me the least, and busy cleaning the hall. The service was not in the best place. Would not visit this place again. And the place was completely empty. When asked for WiFi, he said it is charged or something like that. Food wasn't available.

Incredible views from the rooftop, and some tasty snacks to go with it. The shisha was really nice and the drink options cheap compared to other bars serving alcohol.

This place is one of my favorite spots in Cairo. The staff are generally friendly; shout-out to Amir who's been the most welcoming one over the last two years. The view is nice enough on the roof. I'd actually recommend going there q bit before sunset as it can be pretty pretty depending on weather conditions. Prices here are okay, the service is great, bathrooms are clean and the food isn't bad. You can go there for a date or a friendly hangout.

Hot drinks are average or less than avergae, there was a minimum charge of 100 when i visited, a lot of tiny flies in the terrace area, the vibe atarts getting nice when it starts getting dark, music can be a little loud, staff are friendly. Drinks are not over priced too much.

Overall a great experience. The pool table is almost always booked but once you get your turn it’s really nice.but I enjoyed

I go and go away for a year and come back to the place where there are no people qualified to work. The manner of speaking is not suitable for the value of the place. A very nice experience, one of the most beautiful places I visited in Cairo. The staff is very kind, on top of them the wonderful host, Mr. Amir, who chose lunch to be the one in charge, but he surprised me with the beauty of the food, it didn't take long and the drinks were very tasty, they deserve the bare minimum and the prices are not exaggerated Recommended

Very neat, calm and cozy rooftop place in the center of the busy streets of downtown Cairo. The food was really nice too. We had chicken alfredo pasta and fried chicken dish that comes with sautéed vegetables, and rice. Prices are reasonable and the service was just great! I'm definitely coming back for breakfast next time.

When you walking around downtown streets heading to Carlton Roof then you take the elevator to the roof you will find a huge different. Luxury restaurant roof so relaxing

It is a petty such a place with such authenticity, and history is not well kept to maintain such a status. Keep your expectations very low and you will like this place. I think it is a good place if you are not looking for a decent place but rather cheap prices in comparison to high-end bars. But cheap prices are cheap for cheap services and products. The booze is not always fresh, so stick to the basics in your order. Nevertheless, most of the waiters are decent. This is also not your place if you are looking for a place that has a billiard table and booze, the table is worn out.

Decent cafe cum bar right in the heart of Downtown Cairo! Fairly priced restaurant located on the terrace of Carlton Hotel, which itself has an age old history to it’s name. Perfect view of downtown of Egypt! Don’t miss the Sunset view from here!

Food was nice, though it a long time to be served - 45mins- probably forgot to put in the order and had to remind the servers about it. The shisha was awful, there was no flavour and the shisha guy clearly did not know what he was doing, putting cold coals on it and not putting on a lid. In the end we put an ashtray on top and it began to work but he was very confused about this and took it away entirely.

Beautifull and unexpected place. It is the top roof of carlton hotel in cairo. It is highly recommended for all days. I didnt try the food there but i believe it would be good also

A Quiet place that has good vibes, The Staff is polite and friendly. Food and beverages quality is quite good and the prices are moderate, Sometimes the music playlist has alot of repeated songs with no variety. But, overall go there and enjoy the time with your company

Amazing hidden GEM in downtown Cairo. Historical place aince 1935. You can feel the presence of old memories. The place needs revamping as it is a bit run down.

Lovely view and the place looks nice. However, the food really needs improvement, the quality is low. I do not recommend burgers. Moreover, the service is poor, plenty of waiters but nobody brought cutlery or napkins until asked.

Everything was good till they gave me the bill. The guy told me they forgot one beer so I "just have to add 150 LE on the amount" I was very surprised because the beer was 90 LE and the 12% and 14% taxes were already counted. When he saw my face telling him I don't understand why he ordered me to pay 60 LE more,, he said "put only 100 LE" I live here in Egypt I know perfectly this kind of behaviour. They force you to pay more. Finally I let 40 LE tips that he did not deserve. It's very pity cause the place is good. The beef meat into the burger was not very good. Drinking beer was finally the best.

Service is good and staff is very kind and nice. Food can be better. I was just surprised how the prices increased..still acceptable, but for those prices you can get much better food.

The place is really cute and vintage right in the heart of Cairo and its downtown. The prices are also very good and affordable unlike many new places that are more expensive. Even the people there were very classy and the staff were very nice. I loved their Mestika hookah!

I can't praise enough and encourage you how amazing this place is! It's the best customer service from all aspects. Friendly, speedy, and knowledgeable of the menu. Reasonable prices. It's the place to have a good conversation or a date. If you come again, they will remember you and take care of you even extra mile. Good music and ambience. When the place is full, there will be a place for YOU for sure. I have never felt like writing a review like this among all the places I went to in Cairo or even around the world! I will come again and again for sure. BTW they have shisha!

Everything I tried was absolutely delicious, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing food experience with just a perfect view of downtown of Egypt.
