Nice statue, no ticket or entrance fee needed. Have a walk afterwards by the corniche of the nile.

Dreadful statue. Repainted regularly in horrible colours. Once it was actually green. A shame to put such a bad thing for such an amazing artist as Om Kalthum.

The street that starts at this statue used to be officially called "Om Kalthum Street" (also pronounced as Um Kolsom in local dialect). Later changed to be called Al-gabalaya Street, but the statute of this infamous Egyptian singer remained at its entrance!
