Filthy rooms, noisy, overly talkative owner turns out to be dishonest too. I left a semi-negative review on the Booking app, but honestly stated that the location was good and staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner subsequently said I never stayed there in an attempt to prevent my review from showing. I also stayed at the Cecilia Hotel and Lotus Hotel for roughly the same price, they are both very nearby and I would gladly recommend either hotel over this one.

The location is great and the price was the cheapest I found on booking.com (7.5$ per night) for a private room. The floor of my room and the shared bathroom were dirty when I arrived, however the owner fixed the issue as soon as I asked him. This place has a great potential but needs some more maintenance and a very deep cleaning. The owner is friendly and communicates with you through the phone because his staff doesn’t speak English. You get what you pay for so for that price my expectations were not very high. However, if the place was renovated it would be amazing.

Nice staff with good location. If you want to experience old Cairo neighborhoods in the city center, you can try Berlin Hotel . The building is old but has it charm on it. Although it has a little bit run down from maintenance, but I'm pretty much enjoy from it old style living. Also, the staff is very kind, some of the staff are speak with basic English. But that is good enough for me. To Berlin hotel, keep the old Cairo style building and make a good twist on it. You will go a lot better from now. Sincerely thanks for your hospitality.

Every rejection is God's protection. According to the person on the phone it was not his problem that he didn't have the room I booked. God bless u

Helpful and friendly staff. Very polite either. Actually I met only 3 people as "staff". Nice light breakfast. Good air conditioning. Shower inside the room but toilets outside. A very nice location. 2 minutes walk to Talaat Harb square. The elevator is not working. The hotel at 5th floor. Average cleanliness. Quiet place. Old furniture.

The hotel is old, in the center of Cairo. I stayed and I really liked the old atmosphere, obviously many things are deteriorated over the years, but our room was very clean and fresh, A useful A/ C, excellent wifi, and the elderly staff was always so friendly, even someone greeted us at 2am which we appreciate very much. Delicious anda simple breakfast. Overall the price/quality is well worth it. The owner was always attentive by phone to our needs and speaks good Spanish.Thank you for having us. Best of luck in your business.

DO NOT GO HERE! There is no bar, no restaurant, no shared kitchen, no air conditioning, The ad is a lie! The manager will threaten you if you complain.

The location of the hotel is perfect, near the museum of ancient Egypt, the metro and with many restaurants and café nearby. The elevator is scary because it has no walls on two sides and the hotel itself must have seen better days. They should change mattresses someday, because only two in our three bed room were usable (however, they let one of us stay in another room without additional fee). I liked the atmosphere and people there, they were very helpful and kind. They know very little English, except for the manager that called us every day to ask if everything was ok. Don't expect European standards in terms of cleaness and appearance, but it is good. We booked a driver for Saqqara: he was honest and drove well. Breakfast is fine, eggs and pita with marmalade. I liked my stay and I will definitely come back if I'll again be in Cairo.

I had a good stay at the hostel. It has a rustic antique vive. Its safe, with wifi and the staff are friendly. I was just surprised that the rules posted on their board is totally different on what they follow. It says no Egyptian friend allowed to enter on the room which is understandable. But when i hosted a non Egyptian friend for a night the owner said its not allowed and thet police will come to the hotel and the establishment will have a problem on the government. Which really freaked me out. I recommend them to update the rules posted on their board so there will be no issues on the future. All in all the location is great as it walking distance to museums, metro, tahrir square and its on the down town area.
