Came here with a lady friend of mine local to the city as we were returning from a conference. As per the Egyptian law, we booked different rooms since a man and a woman sharing a room is forbidden which is totally fine. What I did not appreciate is the extent they went to just simply not trust us. They asked my friend series of uncomfortable questions regarding us. Also they installed cameras as to track our every movement. They could have simply refused to accept us if there was a problem. I understand. However it was not a problem to them only after we paid for the room. We asked for a refund since we could not tolerate their intrusiveness and obnoxious behavior but they refused to give us a refund. In fact, one of the workers messaged my friend asking if she would return to her room since he is planning on giving that room to other guest. We already paid for the room for the night. Avoid this place.

The staff is a bit too uncooperative, each floor has one landline to the reception and the 2nd floor line isn't working. Ordering anything from the reception is challenging and once you order there's a huge chance they won't do it. Other than the staff the hotel is clean, quaint and spacious.
