Atmosphere is great. Music is fantastic. The building is truly a typical authentic old downtown building with high ceiling and big windows and doors. Food is not good at all we tried all kinds of breakfast. It Doesn’t worth the money. We were 6 people and paid 1500 LE, it was cold and not tasty except for Fateeer was acceptable. Service was so slow too. So you can go there to enjoy the decor , have a drink only and take some good photos.

Nice place with fabulous decorations but quality of food is not as good as we thought…… and some of staff is not professional…. This place must be reserved before …. Suitable for families

The food and soup were too salty. Service was really slow, they brought all food together at once after more than half an hour of waiting, they were supposed to bring salad and soup first, I guess? Resturant was hot, AC was not working properly, atmosphere was good with authentic decorations, prices are reasonable. I will not come again as there are much better options in Cairo.

ElKoukh is very beautiful and cozy place where you can eat your brunch or breakfast. The staff is very helpful, and they really know how to describe the menus menu. Prices are moderate compared to the same class and experience. I hope they keep the level of quality ❤️. We need more places like this in Cairo.

A totally new and a different experience. It's more of a cultural museum or a very smart and cozy friend's house with a marvelous sense of humor and a tremendous love of Egyptian original life. We took an hour and a half roaming around the place with extreme joy taking photos in every corner before ordering our meal. The breakfast is huge and food is very delicious and warm. Um Ali is a killer 😄😄😄, one of the best Um Ali I've ever tasted. I would recommend this place 100 percent and I myself would go there every time I visit Cairo.

Authentic atmosphere with taste of local Egyptian Ko5 and prices was regular. However, while the atmosphere was a standout, the services provided were just average. There seemed to be some room for improvement in terms of service efficiency and attentiveness. It's important for a restaurant to ensure that the service matches the ambiance to create a truly satisfying dining experience. The food, on the other hand, was simply okay. While it didn't leave a lasting impression, it also didn't disappoint. The taste was decent, but there might be an opportunity to elevate the flavors and presentation to match the inviting atmosphere.

The place it’s really nice inside. It has a balcony. People come here often to order coffee. It’s local and touristic at the same time. The staff are nice 👍 however the food takes a bit of time to arrive. I’m vegetarian and the menu does not have much vegetarian options 😢 My friend ordered chicken and she likes it!

Very cozy and a vintage place. Looks like some sort of museum with real antique household utilities and decorations as well as real old newspapers and currencies from the older eras of egypt. Was very fun to spend time at. Had french coffee that was lovely. Customer service is friendly and wonderful except that he asked me to order a dessert which I refused anything besides a cup of coffee

Very bad experience, not recommended at all. 1. The staff is super unprofessional. 2. Orders take a lifetime to be prepared. 3. We asked one of the owners to turn on the AC because it was hot as hell there and he said it's broken. But once a group of girls joined the room, he turned on the AC right away. Magic! Ain't it? 4. After the milkshakes we ordered arrived. It was molten and almost not cold at all. But the staff justified it saying "it's milkshake, it has to be molten." Like we are idiots or smth. 5. The check was issued with items we didn't order, and even after explaining this, the staff gave us the change as if we didn't explain anything. Not recommended at all. And definitely won't go there again.

Great find and amazing food for a good price. For those wanting to find it, it's on the 3rd floor or so. The front of the building is pictured.

It was one of the best places I went to in Cairo; The food; the service; the staff; the atmosphere; everything was perfect 😍😍😍; The breakfast they have really Really REALLY amazing 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽; We had a waitress name (Raneen), she was really amazing; she was welcoming and nice all the time; she didn't lose her very sweet smile all the time, and what makes it better that you can feel that her smile is real not just a fake one because you are a customer 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I really appreciate that and she and the place really made my day 🫶🏽 I really highly recommend the place ♥️

The place is totally different from what we are used to. It is very original and cosy. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The prices are average. The view is very warm. The staff is super friendly. I didn’t have to look for them to order anything because they are consistently around to accommodate you. I would recommend the place 👌.

The place is just amazing. You can have a great photoshoot over there. There are plenty of old things. You can wear tarboosh and take some pictures. The service is good. We have tried waffle and coffee. They were ok.The place was kinda hot, the air conditioner was off which we ask them to turn on, but they didn't.

An extremely nice place with wonderful rural atmosphere. Good food and beverages cold and hot. It's a little over priced but suitable to hang out with your friends.

I had the pleasure of dining at Alkou5 restaurant's downtown branch, where I savored the delights of authentic Egyptian cuisine. I ordered hawawshi, chicken Alfredo pasta, and mosakaa, and each dish surpassed my expectations in terms of taste and flavor. The experience was truly amazing, enhanced by the restaurant's beautiful and charming old-style theme. While the staff was friendly, I did notice a slight lack of professionalism. Nevertheless, the delectable food and enchanting ambiance of Alkou5 made it a remarkable dining experience that I would highly recommend.

Don’t miss this amazing spot in Cairo. Hands down the best atmosphere, service and food. We came for breakfast on our last day in egypt, and we are bummed we didn’t come here earlier so we can repeat the visit. The decoration is amazing, and the staff are super friendly and nice.

The place looks amazing and very authentic, folkloric Egyptian atmosphere and decoration which is great for breakfast and fun friends gatherings . Not recommended if you're looking for quite place. Clean and staff are. Friendly but they lack of professionalism and surprisingly understaffed for a crowded place like that. Some of the food is delicious. Was good experience
