worst building ever i lived. elavator is not working, poor internet wifi, stinking rooms, telephone not working, kettle mentioned in the booking but actually it's not there. staffs are very bad scammers, don't book anything from this tour package if u had to stay there.. they charged 1200pound to drop and pick from giza.. from uber 350 it was.. everywhere their commission is booked.. only peter staff was very humble and good, rest were rude and unhelpful.. building is very very old and under construction.. sound of fighting people always. don't stay here at gunpoint also pls. 1pound shampoo they keep in bathroom.. floors are sticky.. we can't open windows as they are 50 years old.. we can't get more than one egg on breakfast. they are good to us until payment. after payment they ask who are you. they offered plug for 100 pound for iphone charger, outside it was 40pound... their english is also like arabic. my 3 nights were booked but they changed my room in one night for other for some penny.. isn't it harassment? only innocent peter staff there.. he was nice and helpful.. location is good honestly.. but service is worst.. they even told us to vacant before checkout itself .. you will feel strangers to them after payment.. my 2nd review also will come soon inshallah

They sold us one family room for two doubles. We lived with someone else's family, as if in the same apartment with one toilet and shower. The rooms are generally clean. The window was broken and didn't work wifi

Scam (as most things in this city are). No rooms are available at arrival, even with prepaid booking and confirmation. Burn in hell this place, especially when you arrive in the city at 4 AM with no chance to get sleep. How do they even exist in Booking and Google with such ratings?

I wonder how can people who have stayed here rate this hotel with 2 or 3 stars. This hotel shouldn’t even be in the pages of booking websites. I checked in, payed, and checked out. I cannot, repeat- CANNOT, even think of laying here, not even after a very exhausting day. No drinking water provision, no soap/shampoo. This place is horrible.

We did not enjoy a single thing in this hotel, and I am using the word hotel very loosely, for lack of a better word. Δεν άρεσε · Oh dear where do I begin? 1. The entrance was not really an entrance. I would call it a hole in the wall from where you could access the building. 2. Given the above, the security in the building is practically non-existent. We checked in as it was late at night to go find another hotel (which we did first thing in the morning), but we could not sleep at all as we were very concerned (dare I say scared) for our safety. 3. The hotel (more of a demolition object rather than hotel) did not meet the bare minimum of sanitation criteria, as the floor, the common areas, the room walls, curtains, bathroom, closets and beddings bore stains on them. 4. There was fauna wandering around aimlessly in the halls (specifically, we came across a cat and a weasel in the staircase). What is more, the balcony door of our room would not close, so we were concerned for even more 4-leggrd surprises and/or insects hanging out with us. 5. The room itself was a horror project. We have attached images for reference, however please note that we did not even dare take our clothes off to sleep - We slept on our packed clothes. The curtains were terribly stained (honestly I have never seen something like that before). The bathroom towels smelled like they may have been washed several months ago. The room had various holes as well, whereas the walls had hand prints on them. 6. The bathroom did not have hot water, toilet paper or any form of cleaning agent (I. E. Soap, as shampoo would be a Luxury here). 7. We noticed a half empty pizza box laying in the hall outside our bedroom upon check in. The next day we noticed the cleaning lady pick up the box and throwing it in a hole in the wall, which it seems functions as a garbage dump. 8. When we picked up our luggage to check out running from the "hotel" the manager accompanied us to our room to ask us what was wrong with it.

Very dirty hotel with unfriendly staff. The smell is terrible if you enter. Their location is ok , however any hostel at half price is better than this one, and the neighborhood is full with hostels. This is not a place I would recommend.....

The WORST hotel experience ever. Changed our rooms against our will, not enough hot water, dirty room, and the bed is even kaput. They refuse to make any refund and haven’t repaired anything! So terrible.

Overall good accomodation and clean room just for sleeping. Cleaning staff is very kind. However, the outdoor area and reception staff are a joke. they promise you something and take 4-5 days to actually execute it. I would recommend any tourist to look for another place for accomodation, you can find better places for the same price. the 1 stars feedback here are really justified.

Honestly sad that I can’t give zero stars. I booked a double room but they tried to give me a single room while charging me for the double. This room was dirty. The hotel was dirty and parts of it weren’t finished. The staff were rude. And to top it off there were bed bugs. Also, when I requested my refund for refusing to stay in a place with bed bugs, the staff tried to underpay me twice! I cannot caution again this place enough. Do not book this hotel!

Avoid this place at all costs. We were a group of nine people in 5 rooms. None of them was worthy to stay a single night. All rooms were dirty, bed sheets with food and dirt stains. Dirt in the walls. Hairs in the beds and floor and a tobacco smell all over the place. Everything seems to be broken, dirty and smelly. The staff was also super rude and impolite. Look for better options, this place is totally scam.

We’ve booked this hotel for one night, once arrived we’ve been told that the hotel is full ! They sent us to a branch of the hotel juste beside. The hotel was old and dirty, the elevator dangerous and the staff not welcoming. The rooms are in a bad condition, small dirty and scary. I do not recommand

They had a garbage bin filled with cats on the 3rd floor. It was very noisy because of the traffic. The cleaning ladies didn't clean anything, they just replaced the soap and towels, didn't even throw out the trash...

Book if you don't shower because won't work. Electric socket pulled off walls zero safety Bedding sticky No positives, shame there is no minus score this would be rated minus a billion Location was good though but a rough sleep on the streets would have been more enjoyable

Buyer beware. They will double sell your confirmed booking despite having confirmation of a late arrival and a guaranteed booking. They will the lie to you that you never had a booking and you will be left stranded on the street in area that will most likely be sold out. They will refuse to answer the phone to answer to whatever booking company you used to book. Furthermore, they will charge you a cancelation fee. And they will do all of this while having a cigarette on the street, completely uninterested in your distress.

Our room was small, dirty and the windows were broken. The towels were disgusting with stains on them. The TV was broken too. At night when we tried to sleep there was loud music till 3 am from all around the hotel! At last we couldn't bear it any longer and checkt out early but needed a confirmation for the travel agency office so we called the front desk 2 hours prior so they could prepare the document. Of course they didn't do it and we missed ohr plane because of it. TLDR i would NOT even recommend my enemies this joke of a 4 star "hotel". Save your money's and go to hurghada muuuuch better.

Discussing hotel and service. Staffs are not helpful. They sold my room to others. Staffs try to move me to other hotels which looks like a cheap motel. Pillow and towels are dirty. Room is dirty. The building is under construction. Service is even worst. Breakfast is sucks. Everything is very bad. I suggest everyone choose other hotels.

Buyer Beware ! All the 1 star reviews accurately describes the desperate condition of the place. I will top it by calling it a hostel not a palace. I booked the hotel for Dec 30&31 , when I arrived around nine pm they informed me that due to overbooking we will be staying at their sister hotel. They took our bags and we were taken to a dark and dirty entrance where two homeless people slept at the entrance of the ancient no door elevator . The door opened up to the fifth floor where we were brought to a rooming house where a young man where the towels and bedding was stained and the towels were torn and the bedding. Since it was late and New Year’s Eve we could not get another room and no-one could speak English except for asking us to pay the booking price. I wouldn’t have minded if the price was $20 - $30 for a room of this calibre so we paid cash. We relocated to City Palace the next morning and they tried to charge our credit card despite us having paid the night before in cash, I do not recommend this hotel for foreigners visiting Cairo as I saw them turning away customers blaming booking. com for overbooking their hotel and I did not appreciate the switch bait feeling that I left me feeling cheated. The photos you see is the substituted room I paid $70 for one night.

Bad experience. Dirty room, too much traffic noise coming from the streets, the owner was pushing us heavily to buy tours of his own which was very annoying. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this at all. Avoid

The location is ok, however the building is very old, not really clean and the breakfast was not served because it starts at 8:30. Maybe for one night is ok, but I won't come back.

Our room opened onto the street which I don’t mind but both the two doors that led onto the balcony did not close. I had to use my suitcase to keep the door closed. The traffic noise was also a very disturbing. There was tv in our room but it was not plugged in nor was there a plug to see if it works. What this hotel has going for it is it’s proximity to the Egyptian Museum.

DON'T GO THERE..Absolutely zero hygiene, there were literal animal feaces in the corridor, the bed sheets smelled bad, and the bathroom was about as clean as a public one. The staff wouldn't bother to replace or check up on anything. The worst facility i've ever been to

I had to leave this hotel the same day I’ve arrived, I couldn’t stay, it’s not a hotel. It’s a very old building where rooms are still under construction. Don’t trust the pictures!! Very filthy and disgusting…. All the comments I read are 100% true.
