The Citadel View restaurant is known for the famed open buffet every weekend. It’s an ideal place for a calm and tranquil lunch or a lantern-lit, intimate dinner with your spouse.

I‘m actually reviewing the view form the outdoor space near the restaurent and the cafeteria .. and lt‘s perfect .. overlooking old cairo where you can see the random small streets and old mosques 🕌 and even the pyramids !! .. magical view at morning and night

Food was below average but the view was phenomenal and that’s why I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1. Maybe go just to take pictures - no need to stay for a meal.

Place is very nice and looks like historical places from inside, designed to imitate the Islamic architecture

It`s very lovely and nice view in night. it`s quiet little bit and suitable for meetings, friends , families,couples and even you are on your own

By far the worst service and food I had on my trip. The servers were dismissive every time I asked for something and it took forever to get our water, then appetizers, then food. The pita was stale. The chicken was dry. There was even a hair in my food. Don’t waste your time! Although the view is amazing and the park is lovely. You’re better off packing a picnic

Service is not good enough. Not very clean. Lunch for 4 persons 822 EGP: 3 chicken cream soups, tagen, kofta, 2 chicken malokhia and drinks. View from restaurant is really beautiful. No plaids (covers) in restaurant.

The restaurant with it’s Middle Eastern style tourist snacks seems like it shouldn’t belong in such an impressive building. The architecture a harp back to the exquisite style of the Fatamid era, the location evoking memories of the greatest gardens and parks of the world. The real reason in coming here was to admire the building itself, it’s Persian style garden and ofcourse the incredible views over the city, one of the greatest cities you will ever find. I couldn’t help but be reminded back to a particular afternoon I had spent walking through the gardens of Chehel Sotoun many years before.

We went there for lunch today, I must say the only reason I gave this place any stars was because of the beautiful building and the scenery, We waited a long time for the waiters to take the order, when they finally came the food was average, no eating utensils, no napkins. After we ate the food it took another 15 minutes to get them to bill us... Definitely won't be eating there again.

Restaurant is in middle of el azhar park. Nice place to hangout. Offers you indoor and outdoor dining with a view of greens and citadel itself. And food is nice prices are common nad no reservations needed

Very slow service, tasteless food, unhelpful staff. This was an overal horrible experience, please do not come to this restaurant when you are in the beautiful park. It will ruin your day.

The place has a good view,but the restaurant standards are below the level .Service has to remind multiple times to get the food.The food is tasteless and cold.They don't have any idea about the basic egyptian food.Tajin ,mulakhya chicken (oil fried chicken )cold tajin ,overall tasteless and un seasaoned food.It was disappointing for the place like azhar Park.Its a good place need to give it to professional food industry to operate the restaurant.

we went there in the third dat of Eid Al Fitir, the view and the place it self is nice, but the food was overpriced and not worth it (bland or overcooked), the staff were inattentive and the manager was running around shouting at kids and people outside the restaurant who wanted to take pictures next to the restaurant fountain outside. two stars for the view, my advice don't order food, order some drinks take some nice pictures and leave.

Place has great view and a very clean environment that is where good things stops. We went here for dinner, server had to be reminded couple of times to get us water and bread. Food was served cold and tasteless. Also over priced food and if you don’t keep an eye on the items on the bills, you will be charged for things that wasn’t ordered.

Worst staff worst service and worst food in the trip. We ordered one cappuccino and it just disappeared even we have asked how come it takes one and a half hour to serve just one cup of cappuccino. We finally can have our bill after asking the fourth time for the bill. However, we saw the our order for that disappeared cappuccino was still on the bill even we have said that we would like to cancel it. Words can’t tell how worst the experience was in this restaurant. REALLY THE WORST IN EGYPT!!!

Worst service among the restaurants that I have been to in Egypt. Staff were impolite and unhelpful. The “one minute” in this restaurant takes forever. Nothing special with the food at all.
