Just seen Twenty One Pilots here. Genuinely unforgettable night, but soured by the thought that there were fans outside with legit tickets who weren’t allowed in as the venue was overbooked. If I’d arrive a couple of minutes later I would have been turned away. Shameful behaviour by the management team here.

Under 300 people… Under 300 people at a concert played by a band with 20,000,000 monthly listeners, and tens of millions of social media followers. twenty one pilots you put on one hell of a show in such an amazing venue. However… Security teams outside were refusing entry to genuine fans with genuine tickets due to an overestimation of people attending and that to me is absolutely appalling. They were also asking for ID on the door which I do understand, however there were fans who were 15 without any identification as we were not told when we purchased the tickets that ID was required! This lead to even more people being unable to attend the evening. The amount of people in tears… Definitely something that isn’t going to hang easy for the venue over the coming weeks.

Brilliant bar & food. Live music on the afternoon with touring bands doing acoustic sets. Great cocktail & wine options. A lot of music history here.

Went here prior to a gig at the Roundhouse as the queue was huge and we couldn't be bothered to stand in it. Service was fast and friendly, decent selection of alcohol, buzzing atmosphere and 2 for 1 cocktails before 8pm! I would have happily stayed all night if I hadn't had a gig to go to!

Very niche venue, bar staff helpful and accommodating. Drinks fairly priced, offering a 2 pint option for cheaper too. Cups are plastic, which is good because some idiot dropped his drink at my feet.

I went to see Thumpasaurus and had a brilliant time. I can only review upstairs as that was where the gig was. Lovely crowd of people, great staff and really easy to get to the tube. It's small but perfect for a gig like this! First time I've ever seen a line for the men's toilets! Ha ha

saw Emergency Break here in July with a few mates and was one of the best nights me and the lads have had in a while from the decently priced pub downstairs to the amazing night of music the band put on for us, would recommend anyone seeing this act and heading down to this venue. staff where lovely drinks where as good as they can be for a London music venue.

Just brilliant. Sound quality was great, the band (Wheel) were awesome. An all round great experience.

Stopped here for a couple of drinks during the day & it was good little spot. The drinks were reasonably priced & the toilets were clean.

Performed here last night, was having a great night until one of the bouncers dragged a boy from the bar by his collar out the door whilst knocking over tables and breaking glasses. The boy had gashes as he was dragged over the glass, he probably had to go and get stitches. Absolutely disgusting.

Had a pretty good Friday night! Not a big fan of the £8entre fee for what you get but hey that’s london. Hayley (I think that’s her name) was awesome, really top notch bartender! Surprisingly poured another drink when one had spilt, and always noticed us waiting in the queue. Only downside was security not telling our friend that she wouldn’t be allowed to reenter after going for a smoke towards the end of the night .

Great pub , a little expensive compared to our local but nice atmosphere. The toilets are downstairs and very steep.. The Assembly Rooms upstairs..brilliant intimate music venue .

Here for a gig on a warm day in September. The upstairs function room has a low ceiling, so was incredibly hot. Good music though, and enjoyed the experience

Lovely! Great music and great atmosphere. It has 2 different rooms, with different counters and different kind of music. My friends and I really enjoyed the pop/rock music on the ground floor.

Nice club with nice crowd and music. However the area is slightly dodgy specially late at night. I remember there was a B&E in the supermarket nearby when me and my friends went there and a couple of people were stabbed and injured. Take care guys!

The best pub in Camden, estrella on draft and tunes to get you going. Barry from Bristol loved it.

Attended a great gig with a a variety of acts. However experience was let down by the bar staff!! One female in particular , They were more interested in being on their phone than serving people and when they did it was like I was putting them out. They were miserable and kept giving dirty looks no customer service skills at all, totally in the wrong job!!

The atmosphere is incredible, upstairs you find a nice club to dance and downstairs you find a exciting mix of pop music. The staff: extremely polite and well trained, professionals. My new favourite place in Camden <3

Fun place, nice atmosphere and great live music with gigs taking place upstairs (room comes with a smaller bar with all the necessary alcohol). Downstairs bar with enough room to dance, and nice staff. Will need to come back to try their 2-7 happy hours on the weekend!

Had lots of fun, with security always present polite and doing their job the way they should, made me feel safe.

Stopped by for a short time for dinner and a drink with a friend. We had the Cheeseburger by new caterers Wild Buffalo which was really good indeed, certainly on par with the Lucky Chip burgers they used to do here.

Put simply it's a room above a pub. 200 people max, it's dark it's hot and sweaty, it's loud and the floor bounces. Fantastic experience. I had a brilliant night. I will certainly go back.

i was tonight ar Camdem Assembly pub for a DJ set. i arrive at 1 am and thought there was 2 hours left. but at 1.50 am they decide to stop the set, and closinh thé pub at 2 am. i Ask te be refound but this was not possible. it was my first Time here and i was disguted but by this less if considération...

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, fair range of beers and lagers, good food ( burger's are really good). Good value and live music.

Went for a company staff party, starter i had was a bruschetta and it was pretty good, i also tried my friends potato wedges and they were very bland despite it having garlic and rosemary on top and the aloli sauce tasted of nothing, main i had was a margarita pizza which was ok wasnt as flavourful as i would have hoped and felt lacking and a little dry from the pizza base, dessert however was amazing but they put to much cocoa powder on top but overall its ok food for when u get drunk i guess, its definitely not a food u would go for sober tho. Drinks are pretty decent, but their staff seemed uninterested in there jobs and felt like they dont care about the customer services to serve us, tho they might just be tired from a long shift hopefully they will be happier if i come back next time.

I went here for my birthday party. We were a large group and so I opted to hire out the playroom. I was keen to do some karaoke, and for the length of time we had in a private space with our own private bar, it was more than worth it. We actually had a little mix up between the Camden assembly and another venue, but I'm so pleased we stumbled upon here instead! The communication with Claire from head office was quick, helpful and very informative, there were so many options, and when asked about food allergies they were able to be accommodating. On the night, the female security guard was very sweet, as were all of the bar and security staff. After we finished our private party, some of us opted to stay for a dance at their club night - we were not disappointed! I would love to come back again, the only criticism I would have is the volume of the karaoke backing track, but I'm sure it's something that could be adapted!

Went last Saturday to see some up and coming bands. Good bands spoiled by a terrible sound mix from the desk. Shame as the crowd were enjoying the music but from the back of the room the guitars especially were, at times, indistinguishable from each other.

A great little venue, this concert in particular was very passionate and so the smaller space made it very hot and tight - make sure you’re hydrated

Check out the listings for some really decent bands; some you might not expect. Bar is not too pricey and staff friendly and quick to serve. Support the small gig venues; support music and support locality.

Nipped in on a Friday evening for a quick drink. Staff were nice and friendly and service was quick. Was quite busy with just one little table empty which was lucky. They play a good selection of the 00s and 10s indy rock (bands like the killers, strokes, franz ferdinand, white stripes, etc) which had everyone humming and singing away. My phone was dying and the only spare plug socket I could find was faulty. Was a good atmosphere though and I'd go back.

Great pub. Lots of interesting beers. Food (quality burgers etc). Nice seating. Not cheap but great atmosphere. Upstairs is a live music venue which has a great range of bands playing, like Emie Nathan.

Seemed like a nice atmosphere so popped in with 2 friends. Asked which alcohol free beer was available. Was told by barman "non, cos this is an effing fun bar" when asked what he meant, he repeated the same line. For 3 people who don't drink for various reasons, including past addiction issues, this is totally shocking. We will not, obviously, be back

This pub deserves more, as it has a great atmosphere, a happy hour, and live music. However, it gets marked down for the impressively rude service that we had. In an amazing accomplishment, the woman who served us behind the bar managed to do it without speaking to us once. Instead of asking what we wanted (I'm even willing to forgo a greeting) she just stared at us. As typically British people, there was an awkward couple of seconds of silence before we realised that she was wanting to know what we wanted to drink. After ordering our drinks she went about making them in the slowest possible manner and instead of then telling us the final total, she just turned round the ipad for payment without any further acknowledgement. I'm okay with not having the friendliest of people serve me, however I genuinely was amazed at how rude this lady was. Drinks were fine, but we didn't stick around go take advtange of the rest of the happy hour or the music!

Great, small music venue upstairs from the pub. Tickets were very reasonable. Cosy feeling, bar with broad selection of soft and alcoholic drinks.

Went to see a band (Sub-Radio) in rhein upstairs venue and it was amazing! Very small and intimate, well air conditioned so Not too hot aswell

The atmosphere and food looked fine. They told me they ran out of the burger I ordered when they brought my date her food. Didn't have any non vegan substitutes for me and did not comp her meal. Saw the staff eating food they said they ran out of when I left. 0/10 service.

Top venue

Camden Assembly is definitely on my top 3 best nightclubs I have ever been to. Such a wonderful nightclub especially on Saturday nights. Wonderful bouncers, wonderful bar staff and wonderful managers. Even one of the manager bumped into me in central London and even said hi to me and asked me how my week was going. I have been going here since September 2017 and I will continue to keep on coming here. The place has wonderful vibes. I have never seen a single fight coming here on Saturday nights. I even dated a girl I met here briefly. Camden Assembly you rock. I am not giving you a 5 star. I am giving you a 10 star. ?? Only downside to this nightclub on Saturday nights is it closes too early at 3am. Wish it could close at 4am instead.

The waiting staff were kinda abrubt. Hard to get attention with the covid rules since you cant order at the bar. The drinks ( kudos to the bartender ) were great and so was the atmosphere

Rude staff and poor service

We went to see Oliver Smith here but left before he had came on! The venue was a tiny room with people crammed in like sardines. It was clear that they were making no effort to make sure only those that had tickets went upstairs so it was even worse than it should have been.

The Hip Hop Orchestral rendition was an energetic hit that set the vibe followed by excellent music by a talented DJ who's mixing of tracks was on par with some of the best in the industry.

Playroom private booking: Highly recommended for nice sized fully private room! We had a great time and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Food and drinks were awesome and room amenities super cool with a private bar, would come again!

Subpar food on a pretty limited menu. Service was really poor, stood at the bar waiting to be served for about 5 minutes or less (bartender was busy, I understand, I work bar too) was told to sit down and that someone would come over so I did, nobody came for the roughly 10 minutes until my friend arrived, others got served before me despite arriving later, eventually went back up to the bar once friend had arrived and finally got a drink. Seating not the best either, choice mostly limited to stools or rather uncomfortable mini-sofas/benches. Also all drinking vessels seem to be plastic, not very pleasant to drink from and rather questionable given the current attention being given to the environment. Will say though that they do have a good range of spirits and beers available, and the prices are relatively fair for the area.

Used to be a great venue for live alternative music, it's now a RnB and Hip hop burger bar slash pub that lacks the edge it once had. If you go early is free to get in, 10 quid on the door if you go in later but still the area that used to be a staple of the Camden music scene is now a dead husk. The guy at the bar was good though, makes good cocktails.

Awesome venue just north of the Stable Markets. Great sound system and staff. Good selection of draughts and spirits.

Great live music venue ‐ really small and personal. Upstairs is the dance floor area and the pub is on the ground floor. Drinks are reasonably priced and there's a good atmosphere.

The bands and concert was GOOD! But the technicians failed and whoever is in charge of organising the concerts there, should be fired. No respect for the bands and the waiting audience. The venue is very small, so it should be fairly easy to organise the working wires, microphone and amplifiers. Quite disappointing overall.
