We went during the pandemic and there are protocols in place. Face shield and face masks are required. People are reminded to observe social distancing. Because it's during the pandemic, there's aren't too many people around. There is a dress code imposed. Women are not allowed to be in short pants or mini skirt. They sell shawls at P180 to women wearing short pants/skirts. There are many spots inside Regina Rica that are conducive for quiet time and praying. There are also cafes and restaurants if you get hungry. There are several restrooms and the one I went to is clean so I suppose all the restrooms are maintained.

The Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii created and care for the 13.5 acre site where the magnificent 71-foot-tall monument of the Queen of the Holy Rosary is located on top of a hill. Many Filipinos travel to Tanay, Rizal, Philippines to visit Regina Rica, which is well-known as a destination of prayer and pilgrimage, particularly during the Visita Iglesia. At the summit of the Hill, there are 308 stairs. Big Mama Mary Statue. When visiting Regina Rica, there is no entry fee. Just the parking cost has to be paid. It is open from 8 am until 5:30 pm. Be advised that they are pretty stringent about the dress code! - No spaghetti straps, no shorts, and no sleeveless attire. Weekly, every day Mass. Tuesdays and Mondays are off-limits. Wednesday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. 11:00 AM Mass on Saturday. 3:30 pm. 9:00 am Mass on Sunday. 11:00 am. 1:30 pm. 3:30 pm.

We had our retreat here for 2 days and 1 night. The place was immaculate! It was well fitting to our theme which was Eco-spirituality. By just walking around and seeing the trees, I already felt a different kind of happiness and peace - even for just a short period of time. I can’t even start to describe how good their food was - to think that everything was plant-based! Highly recommended for those looking for retreat venues or just a time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The rooms are clean and new. They also sell veggies, bread, jams, etc. The products are affordable and freshly made by them. Please visit this place - you won’t regret it!

This is the perfect spot for self healing, a really beautiful place to unwind and pray. Perfect place for family bonding. The view is good and very clean. People there were very accomodating and strict. You are not allowed to go there wearing short and sleeveless since it is a church. But you can buy shawl for covering 😅

Good place to contemplate. Please make sure to wear proper church attire otherwise you will not be allowed to go inside the mama mary statue and the church. Wear comfortable shoes - it’s going to be a long hike up!

Very nice place to unwind. The air is refreshing and the climate is cold. There are also many food parks and restaurants around so it will not be a problem if you get hungry. The admission is free. Just pay for the parking.

A wonderful place to Pray if you want peace of mind to get away from busy days of work in a bustling City in Metro Manila this place is good for you, a very serene place to spent for a day..they have a beautiful church with a giant statue of Mother Mary where you can hear mass scheduled at 11 am everyday, wherein 1st timers are welcomed and blessed after the mass . A restaurant where you can eat when your hungry for a reasonable amount from 80 to 120 pesos combo meal of rice and 2 dishes. Also have a forest and hills that gives you a cool breeze..large parking space and comfort rooms. To add on.. Health Protocol is also in place to ensure all guest are safe..so try it and have a peaceful experience.

One of the most solemn place I've been to. If you wanted to have a solemn nature trip, you may want to consider going here. 😍 Medyo strict when it comes to proper attire. You may want to go here as if you are attending mass. If not, they offer scarves that you may use. They have a souvenir shop where they offer different kinds of religious items. They also offer scarf if you wear shorts shorts or short skirt or any revealing dress. 🙂

Travelled all the way from the South to finally visit this place. This is a pilgrimage and reflection place of prayer. Regjna Rica promotes and practice silent prayer while walking along the sacred trail. Parking fee of P50 is collected at the gate. Entrance to the place is free. Upon registration there's a short orientation of the place and the rules while inside. If you must visit, dress appropriately as you are entering a sacred place. Silence should always be observed at all times. Picture taking is allowed everywhere except inside the adoration chapel. Volunteers are ready to assist visitors at all the entry points of the place. Temperature check and disinfection is strictly observed. There's a section for columbarium and ossuarie located near the Chapel. Inside the Adoration chapel picture taking is not allowed. The image of Our l Lady of the Most Holy Rosaryis 71ft. tall. Clean comfort rooms, souvenirs and refreshments available at the convenience store. Peaceful place, a taste of heaven on earth.

I recently visited Regina Rica in Tanay, and the experience was truly serene and peaceful. The atmosphere is solemn, enhanced by the presence of the beautiful image of the Virgin Mary. The good sunny weather added to the overall positive vibe. 🌿 The gardens are lovely, but I suggest enhancing them with more flowering plants to make the surroundings even more captivating. 🍽️ While the restaurant offers a peaceful dining experience, it would be great if there's a stronger emphasis on "Clean as You Go" to maintain the serene ambiance, especially since not all diners are mindful. 🚽 Accessibility to comfort rooms is crucial, especially for the elderly or senior citizens. Ensuring easy access would contribute to a more comfortable experience for all visitors. 🌱 Additionally, it would be wonderful to see more plant-based options on the menu. Embracing a variety of choices would cater to different dietary preferences and promote a healthier lifestyle. 🍲 If you choose to dine at the restaurant, I highly recommend trying the Molo Soup and Mushroom Barbecue. Its super delicious 🤤 Overall, Regina Rica is a gem, and these suggestions are meant to enhance the experience for everyone. Highly recommend for those seeking tranquility and spiritual reflection.

The place is very calming and makes prayers much more heartfelt. The journey to the top is breathtaking because of the view and the cold breeze. The place is quiet and I like the ambiance. You can truly pray because the place also wants people to be silent to truly connect to Him 🙏

A very nice place to visit in Tanay. A cool, quiet and solemn place for me. This is quite a big place and you have to do long walks, up and down, so you have to be ready or practice your walk phasing. There is an orientation about the place, presided by a nun, before you go around. They only charge for the parking fee of P50 but donations are accepted.

Great place for religious activities, solemn and quiet place for retreat and spiritual finding. Located near Marilaque road, hilly terrain, elder people must need assistance since some parts are steep, pay parking available. CR are also available. Observe proper dress code

We went on a Monday (they are closed every Mon & Tues) but you can pay 100 pesos per person plus 50 pesos for the parking fee if you still want to go inside. You should come visit and see the beauty of it for yourselves. Definitely worth the visit.

It's really nice to spend your time here with your family to relax and also to pray. It gets a little crowded since we went here during Mothers day. There are also animals walking around I highly recommend going here.

Please be reminded that properr dress code is strictly followed, should you wish to enter the shrine kindly keep this in mind. Candle lighting is available for your special prayers....organic reataurant is available within the vicinity....and nearby restaurnta and coffee shops can be access also during your land trip. Bottle of water to keep you hydrated can be helpful during your journey at the shrine...drive safely and advisable to come early morning as possible to avoid sun exposure. Peraonal cap and umbrella can save you from UV rays but alsoyou'll enjoy the fresh air as you come along and gets nearly at the shrine😚

Reconnect with your catholic faith when you visit this place. Besides the fact you’re going to a church, there’s trail for you to go to the huge and miraculous image of Regina Rica. Devotees believe that she grants wishes of people who wants to work abroad.

Buy souvenirs inside the chapel on top, you can ask sister if she can bless your bought souvenirs. Sister asked me to bless and pray for us. They are really nice and you'll feel welcome especially the little boys who can assist you. When buying candles, check the color kasi may meaning each color. And pray wholeheartedly.

Visited this church on xmas day. With ample parking considering there's so many people came to celebrate the ocassion. If you're planning to just roam around the place, you can wear anything, but if you wanted to visit the church and hear mass, dress properly. The place is on top of the hill, it was cold and windy. Bring a jacket/windbreaker. Good for meditation.

A very solemn place that even the view will help you feel peace. We haven’t explored much because we don’t have much time but I really want to recommend this place for a retreat because you can have your whole afternoon to enjoy the whole place. There’s a restaurant inside although we didn’t have the chance to try it.

A sprawling greenery, with a shrine as it’s main attraction. When we went there yesterday (Maundy Thursday), our car wasn’t allowed to enter the compound as guards said it was already. We were directed to a parking lot by the highway. From there, our choice was to take the downhill hike all the way to the shrine or take a tricycle. We chose the latter, but it doesn’t go all the way through. There’s a portion that we still have to walk. The senior citizens among us were so tired and just rested and waited at a pavilion instead of taking another 300 steps uphill climb to the shrine proper. Place is organized. They do sell a lot of items and religious services (the nuns do have to run the place). No pictures and videos are allowed inside the shrine itself. The views from the top are fantastic!

Regina RICA stands for Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia. We visit this during our day trip to Tanay. It is somehow far from Manila but I will attest that this well-known pilgrim is worth it to visit. On top of the hill, stands the marvelous image of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary. Taking pictures inside is prohibited. There are also candle offering stations and an Adoration chapel. There is also a chapel located below the hill. Proper Dresscode should be observed. Female with short skirts is not allowed. There is no entrance fee but a parking fee. Spend time in nature while praying and being thankful for the gift of life.

As other viewers felt a spiritual kindling as one experience the hilly surroundings with panoramic background of Sierra Madre, vegetation, dragonfruit orchard, sheep corral, cows running freely, pedigree chickens gallivanting openly; one is left to muster the joy & generosity of God's creation. There's no way, one is place in a mood of contemplation, breaking free from humdrum existence & in a prayerful mood. Restaurant is available & outside dining is awesome. But restaurant service ends at 4:20 when they close at 5:00 pm weekdays.

one of the best spot to go to end a day full of adventure, especially during holy week season, place was clean and was not crowded during our visit. There's also a cafe and other eatery inside so no need to worry, they also have pasalubong center. a one stop place indeed.

During pandemic, the management is trying their best to keep the minimum health standards such as contact tracing and wearing mask. Social distancing is hard to monitor since there were lots of devotees during our visit and only few volunteers to monitor the entire place. The parking is a bit small to accommodate large numbers of church goer and located far from the church building that gives the elderly hard time to climb up. Better to drop them in the church before parking. The entire place is managed neatly and very spacious for different site such as the grotto, Pilgrim's site and other site that you can visit and pray. There were two restaurants inside the vicinity that is located along the exit road, perfect to stop by and grab some snack or breakfast especially if you came far and went with empty stomach.
