Best park in Southwest Louisiana. Any kind of playground equipment you can imagine, splash pad for little ones, swings, picnic tables, small rock climbing, decent bathrooms, water fountains, and completely fenced in park. All around great!

Among the top three best parks in SWLA. It’s totally fenced in, there is a designated play area for the younger kids, but the main play area is accessible for most ages. They took care of it after the hurricanes, and the groundskeepers are present and always working on keeping it clean. Plenty of seating, some shaded, and an area outside the fence for picnics. There’s a sandbox, which we never use because eww, and there’s a fantastic splash pad at the rear of the playground during the summer months. I feel safe here, there are multiple bathrooms available, and it’s a very engaging atmosphere. I’m proud of Lake Charles for making this space happen and maintaining it!

Stopped by Lake Charles on a road trip with my 2 toddlers. This park was beautiful and provided a perfect 2 hour break. Located on the lake, it’s got great views. The equipment is in new condition and there’s tons of it. Pirate ship, several slides, swings, smaller children area as well as older kids’. Bathroom on site was clean with changing station. Fenced in and very safe area. Would recommend 5/5.

A well maintained park with lot of activities for kids. The water play area along with the wooden castle with slides is a great combination. The restrooms are well maintained and provides a cover space to change after having fun with water fountains. We observed an opportunity to provide a bit more covered spaces other than that it was great.

What a great park! Combination of Veterans and 9/11 memorial as well as a Founders Landing. Well-maintained park people and pet friendly. Runs parallel to the lakefront walk which is beautiful. The entire atmosphere is really a nice place for families to relax and learn.

Travelled to Lake Charles for a weekend getaway. Toured Millennium Park which is by the lake. Beautiful property. Had a memorial from 9/11 which brought so many thoughts back on that day. They have an are with a stage and a grassy knoll to sit on a blanket to enjoy music, plays and other arts. Just so happened they had a concert with 3 local bands that we returned to in the evening. It was free of charge. Had artist booths, food trucks and beer. Sodas and water were free. Everyone had a great time. Loved it !!!!!

Great fenced in park with a variety of play equipment for children to explore and have fun. There are different areas for younger and older children. It does not have a splash pad. In this area it’s hot during the summer. Go earlier in the morning. It’s more tolerable. Be aware that the park is closed on Mondays until 1:00 PM for cleaning and maintenance. It could use some pressure cleaning in some areas. Apparently the birds like the playground too, if you catch my drift.

This was a nice park right on the water. It has lots of great parking, a stage, boat dock, lots of seating and great places to picnic. The sunset was beautiful and you can see the bridge from the park.

Checked out this park to see the lake. There are nice views of the water and the large bridge that comes into town. The edge of the water was a bit dirty though (not surprising given the industrialization that's taken place here). There are also some historial markers and plaques, including a memorial for the September 11th attacks. Walking around the pathway could have been enjoyable, buy since it was very muggy weather, did not spend a lot of time here but it was nice to have a look.

The park's attention to detail is truly remarkable. The architecture, replicas, and artifacts showcased throughout the park were meticulously crafted, showcasing the dedication and passion of the staff. Every corner of the park tells a story, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the era being portrayed.

Wow. Just, wow. We are from the East coast and had no idea how nice a park could be, with comfy accomodations for adults too! IF I lived here, I'd be asking my kids to take "me" to the park instead of the other way around! They even had a sweet lady on staff that was able to graciously clean up an area that had an unfortunate issue. If anything, the park should consider having a concession stand in the area that looks like, a concession stand. It is outside the fence and has tables. That would be cute! But, oh my, this is one of the best parks we have been to in our entire life. Highly recommend! Thanks Lake Charles for showing us that all family matters too! Many states have a lot to learn from that, including my own.

One of the best parks I've visited! A definite must-see if you come to Lake Charles with your family. They have security cameras, people who walk around checking on the kids, and it's fenced in. They even have wifi. Will definitely visit again.

This is a great park by lake charles it has a fenced playground with a lot of fun stuff for the kids including a splash pad area. My kids loved it. Right around the corner on the lake is a place to feed the ducks and watch the sun set.

This park is awesome but you better plan around the sun because the equipment gets HOT. The littles area could really use a shade canopy. My poor toddler couldn't use the slide or swings. Thank goodness the big kids area had enough shaded areas to make up for it. We'll be back of course, but we'll stick to shadey days and mornings/evenings. Oh, have the kiddos wear a swim suit for a break from the heat at the splash pad!

So many different types of physical play! Extremely clean. Shaded picnic tables. Restrooms. We(myself, my husband, and our 3yr old)enjoyed it very much!

We live locally and visit this park often. It is kept very clean and it is fenced with one entrance in and out. The splash pad is great in the summer. The enclosed tree house is also great for summer heat. The equipment is well maintained, there's even separate area for toddlers. It is our favorite park in the city.
