Inaugurated in January 2021, this is a park developed around a water body. People used to walk around the water body in walkway. There's outdoor gym as well. It remains very busy during morning hours, when local people gathered there for a walk.

With a jogging/walking track bordering a big pond, this park located next to the State Election Commission office on Rawdon Street has been brought back to life after three decades.

In the 18th century this place was No.2 Shorts Bazar Public Tank so this body of water has been there - I guess - over 200 years. And it's still a place to rest and exercise. Another reason to love this city! 😀

Refurbished and renovated, Rawdon Square comes back to life. The gravel path continues throughout the park and serves as a walking/jogging path. There is a large water body in the middle of the park that gives a soothing effect. The park has been lined with rows and rows of small plants. At the entrance, there is a large green lawn. Some large trees that have braved the Cyclone Amphan in May 2020 are still standing tall. The USP of the park are the gym equipments kept in the open. I loved it. Since its very close to my office, it gives me purpose to come down and walk around for a couple of rounds in the middle of office hours and even work out to some extent. Good Job KMC!

Good for jogging and walk. A portion of area is covered with little grass where you may sit and spent some time. Few benches are kept but lack of shade.

On 09.01.2024 my first solo trip of this year.... After my college official works.... At the park street area.... It's just beside the state election's commission....lack of care but still it is looking good.....i loved the environment. Newly opened, great initiative... A good open gym. Hope the people keep it clean.

You can say this is untouched part of the prime location.. hardly you can find anyone around.. need more maintenance for the pond as lots of wild grasses have grown up there.. park was open at around 3pm (as per news articles after reopening last year in Jan 2021 it was decided to remain open from 6am to 6pm)

This is a public park in central Kolkata, with a beautiful water body.

A very good park with a jogging track and a pond. Lots of trees and birds, whose chirping is a good note for the starting a day.
