One of the best Catholic churches in Kolkata after St.Pauls Cathedral.....The atmosphere is very soothing....One can spend ample time here to relive their stress...The church is well maintained & during Christmas the celebrations are on a grand scale 🙏😃❤️

Very Holy, located a little bit inside, rare opportunity to have been bearing witness to the testimony of Tom Uzhunnalil here when he visited his Alumnus and his Second Home after Bangalore. Very Holistic and Spiritual approach. Choir and Youth are very active a 4.5/5 for the nourishment to the Soul and abundance of Blessings showered upon.

A must visit during Christmas and also anytime when you feel like going to a church.

It's an excellent and extraordinary church where I studied a year of novice training to become a priest but then was a novice director Fr.Thomas deceived me and spoiled my life in 2003-2004. I really felt that the place was most holy and sanctified and thought that would go wrong against me in life in this church campus. But the novice director lost my entire certificates and spoiled my life due to his negligence, ego, jealous and fear for his immoral deeds which he knows scrupulously and consciously. Anyway he spoiled my entire religious life in this holy place and lost my certificates. In this church and noviciate house I worked and cleaned and cleansed but their hearts remain the same. I prayed here in st.antony statue and mother Mary statue but I couldn't get all my certificates back. I can't forget this church and noviciate house in my life. But then Parish Priest was really good man. Oh God be there in the church really not just a building alone. Without your presence oh God it's not a church just a building comprises with bricks, sand and cement. God be there in your place where people come and seek you oh God.

The Salesians started Auxilium Parish in Tangra, on the outskirts of the Kolkata city in 1974 having relinquished the Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary Church on Portuguese Church street to Kolkata archdiocese in 1972. It was in the Cathedral parish that the Salesians started their first presence in Kolkata city in 1925 with the famous Catholic Orphan Press. Today, Auxilium parish is the largest parish in Kolkata with several Mass centres including Motijheel Chapel, the very place where Mother Teresa of Calcutta started her street ministry, and a Chinese Chapel in Tangra. The current Auxilium Parish Church was concieved in 1985 in the form of a plywood model. It was Fr Stroscio Rosario's dream to build a church in honour of Mary Help of Christians in the style of an Italian Cathedral. The project materialized over a period of 10 years and the church was established in 1995.

True peace of mind one can get here, but the way from the railway station is gross, dirty and smell of garbage could be issue, otherwise the place is totally clean and tidy ☺️

One of Place where I can spend whole day around.... So satisfying and peaceful... The best part is one can go for Adoration which is located right on first floor in a room .. where all religion people are welcome to come and sit and adore Lord Jesus Christ.... The priest and all are so welcoming especially Father Ramesh who is like a Living Saint ...

The peace and quiet it provides is ideal for a place of prayer. The beauty of this church is the adoration Chapel that is on the first floor of the administration building which is open 24/7. And on request from the Parish priest can be visited. Must visit.

Going there since childhood...for Sunday masses ...it's a beautiful church as soon as u enter ull be hit with peace ...so a must visit ...but rickshaw fare are a bit high ...u can walk ...if the heat don't bother u.
